We like it more than the more touristy Grindelwald region. No crowds and people are so kind and friendly here."

"The hotel was well located, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience with one receptionist on the morning of December 30. We asked if our room could be cleaned as it was very dusty, but she responded aggressively, saying we should have informed them upon arrival. Her tone made us feel as though we were asking for a free stay rather than a standard service, and she came across as quite rude. Aside from this incident, the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was nice"

"The Hotel Astoria is a small authentic Swiss hotel owned and operated by Oliver and Edith. They are lovely welcoming people whose care and warmth shine through all aspects of the hotel and restaurant. My wife and I have stayed two different times separated by several years and both times we were impressed by the comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality we experienced. The restaurant food and service are excellent and the spa and pool are clean and never crowded. The Astoria is very well-located, an easy walk to ski rentals and ski lifts as well as the Arosa train station. We found it to be a perfect location for a Winter ski vacation - at a very reasonable room rate. We look forward to returning again soon!"

"My family and I had a truly spectacular visit to Tschuggen Grand. The interior feels a bit outdated but the room was clean and spacious. Very comfortable. And what really stands out is the service. EVERY staff member with whom we came in contact was outstanding. So courteous and willing to go out of their way to be helpful. A special shout out to a few team members: Maria who serviced our room was so kind and helpful. And Lucas from the kids club was so kind to both my children. They are already saying that they miss him. A small note that this was the cleanest kids club I've ever experienced in my life. And be sure to visit the pool and spa - both are so so good. The only dip in our experience was a dinner in the Basement - the Swiss restaurant. The service was lacking enthusiasm and several items we ordered came out incorrect and we had to send them back."

Good regular bus transport from outside the hotel with access to to the mountain area for walking and cable car access to the Weisshorn Staff excellent - friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room very clean and spacious with balcony overlooking the mountains. Sauna, steam room and gym clean and well equipped. Breakfast and 3 course evening meals very good. A wonderful week's stay. Highly recommended"

"I really liked this hotel. It's a former prison that operated until 2020 and has been converted into a hotel. It has a great location, only 6 minutes from the subway, excellent facilities, and very friendly staff. There's a fully equipped communal kitchen, and the bathrooms are large and clean. I highly recommend staying here at least once."

"My husband and I were in a group of Swiss retired persons who stayed four nights at this hotel. Although the rooms are dated and our beds made a lot of noise whenever we moved our room was spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was the kindness, efficiency and pleasantness of all the restaurant and bar staff. All very young, polite and eager to do their best - achieved with great success in my opinion. The food was good. Noting this is a 3 star hotel I was totally satisfied and would return."

"This review is based on the excellent service provided by Hotel Chur. Due to my short stay in Chur, I was looking for an electric vehicle charging station. That's how I came across Hotel Chur. I called to inquire whether parking was possible without an overnight stay. Since no hotel guest needed the parking space, I received confirmation. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed and escorted to the parking space in the underground garage. I was able to charge my car without any problems. There was no parking fee. Charging at the station was even cheaper than parking elsewhere in the area for the duration of my stay. Many thanks for that."
