Outstanding

WWingki3112The hotel is just as amazing as we expected. The room was cozy and clean. We loved the spa facilities, sauna and hammam (the pool temperature could be even warmer). Service was great too. Parking was available for 17 euro for the whole stay (1 night). It's just at the seafront and you could walk out to the beach from the hotel spa/pool. Services were exceptional too. There are room service available and also two restaurants (menu seemed nice, with vegetarian options but we didn't have the chance to try it). Will recommend it!

GGuest UserThis hotel was a gem of a place just a few min from the center of the old town and ten min from the beach. There are entrances on both sides of the building. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, nice old building (the floors do squeak) with a beautiful staircase and a gorgeous lounging space in the lobby, and a simple yet delicious breakfast buffet (Make sure you get the mini pain au chocolat.) I got an upgrade to a large terraced double room and had to drag myself out of it to go out it was so comfortable. 4 stars for location only because I had to pull my luggage through town from the bus/train station on foot and in the rain. But I would have loved to stay longer, highly recommend!

GGuest UserA cosy little hotel in an old stone building, with a restaurant facing the courtyard in the old town of Bayonne. It's a little far from the central station (20min walk with luggage), but ideal if you want to immerse in the old town feel. There are also bus stops nearby. The restaurant serves good food (not the best but still convenient if you're too tired to go out). I liked that they had nice black tea from a local tea brand at breakfast and in the rooms. The amenity was decent but my first room had nice bathrobes and no tissue box, and my second room had a tissue box but no bathrobe. I got allergic reactions in one room from the room fragrance. The staff aren’t very organized but friendly and kind. Overall I enjoyed my stay but I think it didn’t match the price.

GGuest UserAtrocious dinner service; I asked twice for water, but it was never brought. I had to ask a third time. We ate all of our starters without any of our ordered drinks (wine or water) delivered. Awful breakfast service on the first morning. In a busy environment, the logical layout of where plates and cutlery are kept (also a large distance apart) is completely nonsensical and the staff were very slow to replenish breakfast supplies during peak breakfast time. At 9.05 am, a cleaner knocked on the door! Ludicrously early. We shouted to ask them to leave. At 2.52 pm, a male staff member unlocked the door and promptly walked into the room without invitation while my partner was in bed, unclothed. This was grossly unacceptable. On that basis, you absolutely must not stay at this hotel. There is a serious safety issue here. This hotel is the ”Fawlty Towers” of Biarritz, except nobody is laughing.

GGuest UserPrime Center location which was accessible to everything in town. However, the reception was closed when we arrived and this wasn’t communicated beforehand (as to when they are not working). We waited outside for 20+mins trying to figure things out and even after we entered, we had to figure things out (where the keys are, which floor etc). That being said, their residents are very helpful and tried to help us call up people they knew to support. One quick note, their floors and the level indicated by the lift are not the same. Floors start from 0 and lift levels start from 1.

AAnonymous UserGood points are the location, comfortable and clean bed (no duvet) and very pleasant staff. Bad points: a very old building with fixtures and fittings to match. No bedside sockets to charge things, two in the room and one stopped working, dirty sink plug, tiles not stuck properly, tired decor and painting. Sad, because it has potential but no money has been spent on it for some considerable time.
