In fact, the first time I arrived in Qingyuan, the hotel I stayed at (Kyriad Hotel-Qingyuan City Plaza) was located in a commercial street. It is a shopping mall or a connection (square commodity area), but the 4th floor is a place for delicious food, and it is a good place for those who like shopping and food. The front desk staff in the hotel lobby is also kind and friendly, especially when I met a (citizen) who can speak Chaoshan dialect. It is a direct and convenient communication without speaking Mandarin. Thanks fellow... The room is clean and tidy, and the view by the lake is really beautiful. Mayland is a lovely resort. Their staff are very kind and helpful. 雷欣（Suet Yan) was particularly helpful. We couldn’t sort our app to get a car and she helped us. The changing rooms for the resort pool needs a refresh. Even just changing some of the curtains and better lighting will make the place look better. Lots of hot springs to pick from. Nice indoor pool. Need to swim with a swim cap though. Outdoor pool in the photos is actually not accessible by guest. Chinese restaurant was delicious. Buffet was acceptable for 178¥

Our stay at the Sheraton Lion Lake Hotel can be summarised in one word, disappointing. I believe this was/has the potential to be a lovely hotel to visit. The hotel and its grounds are massive, however, most areas are closed and there is a general feeling of abandonment. Fountains and water features are empty, shops closed, grass is overgrown and facilities a little dated and tired. The indoor pool and one of the restaurants were closed and the outdoor pool was not very clean. What it did have was excellent customer service, the Moroccan theme was very cool and the rooms overlooking the lake were clean and had a lovely balcony. Overall, not worth the money. If you are looking for a base to sight-see Qingyuan, there are much cheaper hotels around and if you are wanting to enjoy a staycation this will be a disappointment.

We had an absolute great time staying at KHOS for a family trip, just for one night but we enjoyed the hot springs waters at night and the facilities for children during day time. A lot of options to enjoy with family. The staff was great super helpful and nice and the room super nice, very spacious and with nice view. The food was also good but breakfast has not many western options. Overall is a great experience worth the price, great option for a weekend away from the city. I have to say I went during weekday with not many people.

The location of the hotel is surrounded by construction projects so there can be some noise, although it didn’t bother me much. The breakfast choices were just ok and it took a while for food to be replenished if there wasn’t anymore left. The room was clean and tidy when I first arrived and the service is helpful. It was a satisfactory stay.
