"When we checked in, we asked the front desk if there were any high-floor rooms available. The lady there, with a professional but insincere smile, immediately said they were fully booked and told us we were lucky to even check in at noon. However, I checked Trip.com right away, and it clearly showed rooms were still available for that day! This kind of 'seasoned veteran' attitude from hotel staff hasn't changed in over a decade.
The hotel being old is an objective fact, which is fine, but the hygiene truly wasn't good. The drinks in the mini-fridge had mold growing on them, and many other details were unhygienic. I recommend not consuming anything from there.
The beach is nice and offers standard resort amenities: beautiful beach, and very nice security staff who help pull out loungers for you. The sand is a bit coarse, so it's not very comfortable underfoot. Breakfast was decent, and there's a restaurant (didn't try it, looked unappetizing). I didn't go to the spa, but my partner said the environment was nice, though the massage itself was mediocre.
Chasing after 'value for money' comes with its drawbacks:
The hotel front desk staff are too slick and unhelpful when it comes to solving problems.
The hygiene conditions are poor.
The soundproofing is incredibly, incredibly, incredibly bad!
Thankfully, there's a 7-Eleven nearby to somewhat redeem it!"
