Disappointing Experience – Definitely Below 4-Star Standard
The hotel is in a good location and conveniently close to public transport, which is one of the few positive aspects of my stay.
Unfortunately, based on my experience, I do not believe this hotel meets a 4-star standard.
The bed was extremely low, with an uncomfortable and poor-quality mattress. The bed frame was also visibly worn, chipped and damaged. The edges of the frame were particularly uncomfortable and, on several occasions, I injured myself when coming into contact with them. The mattress appeared to be two single mattresses placed together to make a larger bed, which was not comfortable at all. After staying for several nights, I was experiencing significant back discomfort. I would strongly recommend improving both the mattress and the condition of the bed frame.
The bathroom has no window, and the extractor fan was not working, leaving very poor ventilation. The door frame was also visibly damaged and appeared to require repair, as shown in the photographs.
The breakfast area was another disappointment. There was a strong and unpleasant smell of food, and the coffee machine broke down several times during my stay.
I want to acknowledge that the staff were friendly, polite and tried their best to assist. My concerns are not directed at the staff personally, but rather at the overall maintenance and management of the hotel.
I genuinely regret booking 10 nights, as the poor-quality mattress and bed have made the longer stay particularly uncomfortable. In my opinion, you might manage a couple of nights here, but I would not recommend a longer stay unless the hotel addresses these issues.
Overall, despite the good location and friendly staff, I would rate this hotel below 4-star standard. The condition of the room, bed, bathroom ventilation and general maintenance does not reflect what I would expect from a 4-star hotel.
