The hotel is located in a great place. It took us less than 10 minutes to walk to the Alamodome to watch a football game. It took less than 5 minutes to get to the restaurants on the River Walk. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. At first, we struggled with how to use the room key on the elevator. Once we got the hang of it, it was comforting to know that the additional security restricts who can use the elevators. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have decided to stay there again next month.

The receipt that I got from the hotel states one charge but I was charged that price, plus another charge of twice that amount. Customer service refused or was incapable of explaining to me why I was charged twice. I suggest that you do not stay at this hotel.

This property was nicely decorated considering its age. It is old and dated, but they’ve done a nice job of decorating and staying true to the San Antonio motif. Our room’s air didn’t work sufficiently, and I’m not sure if there was a problem or not. The tub was slippery and unsatisfactory for senior aged people who are easily prone to fall. The night light in the bathroom didn’t work. I did report these problems to the front desk clerk. I’m uncertain if she addressed them or not. She simply said, “Thank you.” The kitchen and breakfast staff were so kind and helpful. They were most pleasant. Not a bad place. Just needs a few tweaks.

Located near to Alamo and river walk, easy access to most of attractions in downtown San Antonio. Hard working staff especially kitchen staff tried to fill the items in a busy Easter weekend. Neat rooms and good view from Deluxe suite on 10th floor. Only gripe is sound from Next-door club during the night if you open windows, but didn’t bother us once curtains closed. They charge $30/day for valet parking, like rest of the hotels in the area , but one can park in near public parking spaces for$10/day during weekdays and $15 /day during weekend. Overall my family had a good experience during our Easter weekend stay.

Did not partake of the outdoor pool but it looked clean and refreshing with families partaking of its availability. There is a bar in the adjacent/connected Marriott property, that too I was not able to experience but it looked to be of ample space.

First off, the Marriott website describing this hotel as ”Newly Renovated,” which was why I booked here, but this is not true. The rooms are terribly outdated - worn and dirty carpet, the bed was super saggy and uncomfortable, and the TV was really small and looked like old tech. Bathroom was also sub-standard - I found a pubic hair in the wash cloth - gross! They only offer valet ($30). I got in at midnight, left my rental with the valet and came back at 6am to get my car - I was on my way to my daughter's BMT Graduation ceremony at Lackland. When I got into my car, it wreaked with marijana smoke, like someone was having a grand ol time on the midnight shift. I was appalled and extremely worried as I was about to go onto a military base! Who knows what paraphanilia was dropped in there. I also was concerned because after a couple of days, the smell was still present and I am not supposed to smoke in the rental! I brought it to the attention of the valet manager but his response was really lame - he gave me an ”oops” face. I was expecting something with a little more professionalism. No one checked in with me the rest of my stay to apologize or anything. I had to make a deal about it when I checked out - hence this review. The rest of the nights I opted to park my car in a lot next to the Fire Museum across the street ($25). Location wise this hotel is on the outskirts of Downtown. You'll need to walk about 10 min to get to the start of River Walk. I really wish I did not stay here. The crappy room and the marijuana incident (and the hotels lack of concern) - it really dampened my stay in San Antonio and on the occasion. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone!

Business travel alone is also possible. The city is not large, but there are many hotels. The Downtown area is also more selective and safe. If you are not afraid of 1-2 homeless people under the overpass opposite the hotel, they will not be close. You just don't feel well. The health status of the hotel is medium to low, so don't test yourself for allergies. There is no breakfast, only coffee, and there is a microwave in the lobby. Because there is no refrigerator in the room, the food is basically outside. RiverWalk and the conference center are only 15 minutes walk away. If you are staying for a while, it is recommended to stay in a comfortable hotel. It is recommended to rent a car for parent-child activities, but the car can be parked in a nearby parking lot.
