"Located on a quiet street right in the heart of town, a few minutes walk to the old town and to the beach, this is a gem of a hotel, clean, modern and with an excellent restaurant attached. The staff are very helpful and attentive in multiple languages. One of the best recent hotel stays I've experienced. Thank you."
"**”BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'”**
Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room.
At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed.
However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded.
I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day.
Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better.
The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room.
While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests.
In the end, we ended up paying the €25.

"We have a wonderful experience walking up the hill and locating Avenida Hotel. The views are amazing and looking stunning up the mountain. Great location walking distance to the beach and city. Excellent services at reception and morning breakfast. Easy access to gym and swimming pool."

"The hotel is not on the beach, just a few hundred meters away from Shell Bay, but it has to go uphill. There are no restaurants nearby. There are bicycles at the door for riding. The rooms are okay. One of our rooms had a peculiar smell, but the others did not."
"This hotel under the Samsung Michelin Restaurant can be described as perfect, beautiful to speechless scenery and dishes, and the breakfast that has been provided."
"Amazing stay for San Sebastián. Older Victorian style villa converted for boutique hotel use. Excellent concept and room! Cleaning staff was thorough and all staff was amazing and helpful. Didn’t spend much time on the property but no need as the city itself is amazing."
"The hotel is located in the middle of the mountain in San Sebastian, far from the city center, unless it is a self-driving tour, don't live here, the traffic is inconvenient. But the hotel is quiet and beautiful, the room is comfortable, like a classical manor."
"Hygienic: very clean, equipped with a toilet
Facilities: very new, with minibar and desk, convenient, large space
Environment: equipped with parking lot and restaurant, rich breakfast, afternoon tea in the afternoon, convenient eating; the road and the mountain outside the window, very beautiful"

Great
MMB1010Great hotel. Amazing design features in the rooms. Easy bus into town but be aware they generally stop at 11pm although a taxi was only 12 euros after this point.
No room service but nice staff. If this hotel was in town it would be amazing, but was still a great option as a tourist!
GGuest UserA very new & clean hotel.
Need to take a bus ride to old town via bus or cab.
Journey is abt 15-20mins.
Breakfast at the hotel was decent.
Bed was comfy but not the sofa bed, which can feel the metal frame when my kid sleep on it.
Relatively value for $ if don’t mind the bus journey. No amenities around the hotel.
Good for people who drives as there is free parking available.
LLamfood22The hotel room is very large, clean and well-organized, and you can even choose from a variety of pillows, which is very considerate! The staff speaks English very fluently and takes the initiative to introduce different attractions. They are very friendly and polite! The hotel is far away from the old town, but there is a bus station nearby. It takes about 15 minutes to get there by bus. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Highly recommend this hotel! 😃
GGuest UserHonestly, I liked the first hotel. I went to four-star but I did not see the cleanliness and uniformity of the room. It was spacious, very beautiful, elegant, and a wonderful bathroom. It had very, very good taste. I hope to return to it. I am very comfortable, but its prices are affordable for everyone. I would give it five stars.
GGuest UserIf you are looking for a place to sleep and an excellent location for a cheaper price than the surrounding hotels, this is a great option! However, I had not stayed in a pension before and I didn’t realize that we would be sharing a bathroom with 5-6 other people.
The workers were polite, professional and accommodating! They provided coffee, tea and water.

GGuest User4 minutes from the beach.
Huge terrace, small but comfortable room (there are also larger ones)
Only the breakfast in the café downstairs is not recommended. In addition, the cushions on the terrace could be cleaner (they are completely exposed to the rain).
The location is phenomenal, the staff extremely friendly
ととんころりんIt's a 15 minute walk from Kikutetsu station and bus terminal, and a 5 minute walk from the city center private railway station. There is a large supermarket nearby. There are many restaurants nearby, including one that serves Basque-style Japanese cuisine (the owner chef is Japanese).
The hotel is stylish and clean. The only drawback is that the elevator doesn't come easily. Internet speed is ok.
CChoupinettesThe air conditioning in the room is not working. At least the heating is not there. It's 11 degrees outside and 22 degrees inside. It's windy outside. It's so cold that I have to use a heat pad to stay overnight.
