"The location is great, the hotel is old, the AC is old that it's not functioning well, the bfast is so so.. but overall is OK, just don't expect too much.. my expectations is already low prior to the check in, so it's fine"

"The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was satisfactory. The location is strategic, close to Sandakan airport, with a laundry, market, and restaurants conveniently located around the hotel. There were only three minor drawbacks: Firstly, if you book a room with a bathtub, showering is difficult. (See the second picture.) You have to step into the tub to turn on the water, and the cold tap only dispensed hot water, so you had no choice but to endure hot showers. Secondly, only one room key card was issued. If you're not staying solo and someone leaves the room, they'll have to knock to get back in. Lastly, the TV was non-functional as it had no channels and couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi. The TV itself looked like an outdated model."

"Strategic location in Sandakan town. Visited various places of interest like Rainforest Discovery Centre, Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, Sun Bear Conservation Centre, the Sabah Memorial Park and Agnes Keith House to name a few."

"The hotel is one of the largest in the area and is fully equipped. The surroundings are also pleasant; there's a local market nearby selling coconuts, where you can get 5 for 10 RMB – an excellent deal! The Chinese restaurant is also very good."

"I had a generally pleasant stay at this hotel, with a few things that could be improved. The room was on the smaller side, but it was clean and I really appreciated the full-length mirror — a thoughtful touch that made getting ready much easier. The shower worked fine, though the shower head was positioned a bit unusually, so I found it more comfortable to use the handheld option. Not a big issue, just something to be aware of. The only real challenge was the presence of a few mosquitoes in the room, which made it harder to sleep well. With better pest control, this would make a big difference to the overall comfort. Despite these points, the staff were friendly, and with a bit more attention to room comfort, this hotel has good potential."

"You might have to rethink if you have a lot of luggages as this hotel does not have lift. The TV has not much channels as well. But the location is great. It's easy to find Grab and restaurants are all around. Marts are also very near."

"Very clean they even have air purifiers by the corridor. Cheaper rooms don't have an attached bathroom and have to share common bathrooms. Would be nice if there was a hairdryer and mirror in the room. Plenty of free parking spaces, surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores, 24hr laundry..etc."
