"The hotel is situated in a busy area of Sandakan, conveniently surrounded by food outlets and supermarkets, making it easy to find meals and essentials while traveling. It offers basic accommodations that meet the needs of guests during their stay. The breakfast is average, and there’s room for improvement with more variety in food options. The hotel staff are friendly and professional, contributing to a pleasant stay."
"The deco is absolutely stunning. Pretty, can't deny this. Kids were happy to see the hello kitty theme, small size couch for the kids to sit. Downside is the amenities for this accommodation is poorly maintained. Front door can't close, owner ask us to just lock gate don't close front door or door will not able to be open from inside (?!), balcony look dangerous for children, so many sure not to let any kids go there. Lucky just book the place for a night, else will be worry for safely. Pic included where door required to stay open whole day/night to avoid locked in. Lol."
"The speed unit aircon required service and pillows required replacement too. The Spa is just next door you can request massage in your room and last order is 12.30am 👍
You can has beer🍻 at their bistro bar or at the back of the hotel got few bar too. Very convenient for breakfast, lunch and dinner at nearby shops 👍"

"On the whole, we enjoyed the hospitality at Sandakan Inn and we had a wonderful experience of staying there. Location is good, the staff is courteous, the facilities were awesome. I would definitely recommend Sandakan Inn as it is a great place for guests to relax and enjoy themselves."
"We lived in a fresh clean apartment with 3 bedrooms. Each one has air conditioning, as well as in the kitchen-living room. The apartment also has 2 bathrooms.
We checked in without any problems, the owner is very responsive.
The condominium comes with a parking space. Very convenient.
The condominium has its own pool with very comfortable water for children. Ours did not get out of there for 2 hours.
Location. 20 minutes by rented car to Sepilok. 50 minutes to Labuk bay. With a rented car, the location is excellent. I don’t know if it would be better to travel in another way."

Great
DDavid PeterRegarded as one of the better hotels in Sandakan, I was left underwhelmed. The rooms are tired and dated and detract from the available facilities such as the pool. The night I was there, they had a visiting dignitary and his security entourage, who had no respect for other guests and it was nearly 2am before I could get to sleep. The biggest disappointment though was on arrival, I was looking forward to a beer by the pool. I ordered a Tiger beer, received a glass and a 320ml can and was charged 25RM!! That's more like higher end International prices, not justifiable in Sandakan in a dated 4 star.
GGuest UserStayed in a shared dorm. Walking distance to RDC a little further than other options but perfectly manageable. Dorm and bathrooms were clean and as advertised. Not much space to put stuff but you get what you pay for with a shared dorm. Food and drinks options at the restaurant are expensive and for several meals I opted to eat at nearby resorts which were cheaper. Nevertheless, the atmosphere at the reception/restaurant was fantastic and I really enjoyed it. Staff were extremely hospitable and helpful. No shelter between reception and rooms was a bit of a bummer but no big deal. Wifi only available at the reception. Overall, great value for the price.
GGuest UserThe hotel is excellent next to the nursery of orangutans, rainbow bears and rainforest, the territory of the hotel is very beautiful, the pool is small, lived in a house which on the one hand is very authentic and on the other hand modern. When leaving the hotel we could not call a grab taxi, had to use the services of the reception. I do not recommend taking a tour for 3 days 2 nights to Sukau, to see only proboscis monkeys and crocodiles and various birds, one night is the best. It is better to devote more days to Sepilok, there you can see all the birds and animals
GGuest UserLocation is great if you're getting a flight. The room is nice enough and includes toothpaste, shower gel and shampoo (which has been suggested aren't by other guests). Unfortunately they're doing renovations at the moment so there's a bit of noise and the lobby is a bit confusing. Once it's sorted I'm sure it'll be great.
GGuest UserRoom was quite big and clean. The lodge is a bit outdated and would need some maintanance. Garden is large with lush vegetation. Reception is at the cafe and it is quite far from the rooms. Location is great if you want to visit Sunbear Conservation Centre or Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary - 10 minutes on foot.
RRomina BardalesThe hotel room is enough for spending the night and unwinding after a long day exploring the national parks.
You gotta turn on the water heater in order to get good water pressure and hot water, something I didn’t know at first.
The staff are friendly and the hotel is well located. It’s closed to the sea and located in the center of Sandakan. There are many restaurants around and lovely quirky streets. A restaurant I would recommend is Balin. It’s a fusion restaurant that serves delicious cocktails and offers ocean views, making it a perfect spot to catch the sunset over a delicious meal.
AAllouraEverything was perfect with great hospitality.. great location....its worthy to have a stay here with budget cost....the bank is just behind the hotel and you can enjoy the night market on weekend nearby....there are plenty of restaurants you can choose to enjoy local food....I can easily go anywhere because the E - hailing is just a click away...
