La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Santa Cruz

Great location, the newest hotel near boardwalk. Parking is extra ($20 currently), but at least it is in a secure gated basement. Great clean rooms, front desk staff was super helpful. Would come back again!

Brand new hotel. Super clean and a 2 minute walk to the beach.

Terrible. The power went out two separate times supposedly from a nearby crash hitting a power pole. The beds were hard and sunk in. The manager said they were new beds! I’ve never heard of a new mattress that sinks and gives no support. The breakfast was like eating rubber. I tried one bite of eggs and sausage and spit it out. The pre packaged muffin even tasted bad. The shower had a few ants crawling around even though I was staying on the third floor. Overall this hotel appeared clean and well kept but it’s only a facade. It is walking distance to the Boardwalk which is nice , but for the price we paid -not worth it! One night. Check in time 4 pm and check out time 11am. Nearly $400. We left at 8 am due to the poor breakfast and uncomfortable night. Couldn’t even relax.

This was a very short stay but I really enjoyed it. Super close to the pier, Cliff dr., downtown, boardwalk. Highly recommended.

Loved it here! The property is gorgeous, the breakfast was delicious. Our kids loved making their own waffles. The staff was super friendly. Within walking distance to so many cool places. Smelled so good and felt super clean from the main entrance to the room. The balcony was cute and it was so nice to have a decent view of the ocean.

Very clean and updated hotel. We stayed a few days earlier but had planned on another hotel for this stay. When we saw how nice it was the first time we canceled our other plans and booked here.

This new-ish hotel was surprisingly good! It's more spacious than your average hotel/motel, with high ceilings and a huge bathroom. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Location is great- close to the beach The underground parking was convenient and secure (though there is an extra charge). Staff were friendly. The only thing missing was a safe in the room for valuables.

Reserved a king size room and was given 2 queens instead. Tried to talk to the front desk and were told they were “sold out” and doing us a “favor” with the room they did provide.
