"The hotel service was great, and the hot springs were fantastic – loved the milk too! The East Wing is more convenient for accessing the public hot springs. However, I have to complain about the restaurant. There was a typo on the menu (appetizer listed as '24mouth' instead of '24month'), and when I kindly pointed it out, they acted as if I was deliberately looking for trouble. The shrimp on the second day wasn't fresh, and the chef wasn't very friendly when they brought out a replacement dish. This restaurant seriously dragged down my overall hotel experience. The poor service in the restaurant alone cost them two points."

"Even though I booked the smallest room, with two tatami mats practically filling the entire space, it was still very cozy and charming, especially with the public onsen. The breakfast, prepared by a foreigner, was absolutely delicious; I really enjoyed the whole European-style set. Besides the small room, all the amenities were excellent, and the bathroom was great too! 👍"

"Very friendly staff. I was there off season, so there where no more shuttle busses available. Since the hotel is directly near the slopes, there are no direct shops near by. And you have to either walk 20 minutes to the nearest Lawson or take a taxi. I liked the japan-western style room. The owner was so kind to take me to the Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort which is only a short drive around the corner. There is also a Ski Resort just next to the hotel but it was already closed for the season."

"From Matsumoto to Baima, take the IC card taken when entering the station on the JR Otaru Line. When you arrive at Baima, you cannot use the IC card. You can't speak English and Japanese. Fortunately, the boss of the Baima Canadian mountain forest cabin will pick you up and use translation software to help communicate with the JR station staff (originally paid cash first, Then reset my card). The hotel service is quite intimate, the boss is free and responsive, (free JR White Horse Station connection, need to be made in advance), we arrived on October 25, the free shuttle bus at the Octagon Odori cable car station has been suspended, but the hotel owner is very user-friendly and will pick up and drop off for free, making tourists feel at home during the trip. Breakfast is about 2,000 /person (can be discounted 200/person); The price of dinner is 5,000/person (can be discounted 500/person). During this 5-night stay, I got a lot of help from the boss. It was a very unforgettable experience. I fell in love with the beautiful Baima Village in the sunny day of waiting for the Bafangweigen Bafang Pool! If you have a chance, you will see you again, and still choose ”Canada Mountain Lodge”!"

"Hotel La Vigne Hakuba was a wonderful place to stay. The hotel has a beautiful minimalist design and feels clean, cozy, and very welcoming. Both the lobby and rooms were pleasantly scented, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The concierge team was extremely helpful and the overall service throughout the stay was excellent. The room was spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully designed with a very functional layout. The bedding was also very comfortable. The hotel also provides excellent facilities for skiers, including a dedicated storage and locker room for ski equipment, as well as a separate shower room where guests can freshen up and change after skiing on the day of check-out. Overall, a fantastic stay at Hotel La Vigne Hakuba — highly recommended."

"The Hakuba Hotel prices are generally on the higher side, but this one offers pretty good value for money. It's a room over 40 square meters, perfect for a family of four, with two beds and a tatami area. You just need to lay out the tatami futon yourself. There's a free shuttle to Hakuba ski resort, though the schedule is a bit limited."

"Included dinner was great and it was a 4 course meal. Breakfast was also great with unlimited bread. At 4pm onwards, you can use the hot bath. Dinning room and living room have heaters so you won't worry about being cold. Room also has heater that you can set as you like. Fyi, it's the norm in Hakuba to charge extra for that heating, it was 500 yen a day."

"The price is quite expensive during the snow season. The room with a big bed is 5000+, and adding a sofa bed is 300 more. This hotel is marked as a four-star hotel, but it is marked as a three-star hotel by Google search. It is not run by local Japanese people, and the sanitary environment is really average. The large bath is sticky, there are floating hairs in the pool, and towels are thrown everywhere. The room uses carpets, but the vacuuming is not thorough. I have to wear a mask and turn on the purifier to feel comfortable because of dust allergies. The breakfast is all European, without any Japanese soup or the like, and mainly cold food. I wanted to use the dryer, but when I entered, there were socks all over the floor, and the dryer was full of black hair. On the day of the pick-up, it was promised to arrive in 15 minutes, but I waited for 30 minutes and called again to say that there were other things on the way. Not recommended, if you want to come to Hakuba, it is recommended to book another hotel."

"We had an amazing 2N stay at Ringo Lodge! Room was ok size for 3 pax, service was great and breakfast was basic but decent. The place is well kept and easy to get to with a car. The only thing we needed to get used to was the shared toilet/shower arrangement. The shower was spacious and had an open air bath which was really nice, especially after a long day! There is only 1 toilet for each gender, toilet does not have a heater, so can be quite cold in Winter months."
