It was overall a great stay. The lobby is cozy, fragrant and dimly lit with soft yellow lighting. The room is not very big but there was enough space to move around comfortably. Love the shower with instant heating and water temperature digitally displayed and the hairdryer has good wind strength. The toilet seat is electronically kept warm and wash basin tap comes with hot water, which really made a difference during cold weather. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with variety enough for a nutritious start to the day. The noodles made by the robot was unexpectedly quite tasty. The complimentary late night porridge was also a warm touch to end the day for guests. There are books spread out throughout the public spaces for guests to borrow (all Chinese books though). The location is rather convenient, about 10-15min walk to 2 metro stations, Jing An Temple Station and Nanjing West Rd station, lots of eateries nearby and a few shopping malls like Kerry Centre are also within walking distance, plus the beautiful Jing An Temple of course. Special thanks to the kind staff named Weekend (Zhou Mo) who extended complimentary late check out till 4pm in view of my late flight.

The best budget hotel in town. The location very strategic nearby the public transport right in front y of the hotel. The hotel service is convenient and the help desk very helpful
Clean and hygienic, well-equipped, elegant environment. Choose a room near the road. The soundproofing is good and will not disturb your rest. The breakfast is very exquisite and the ingredients are very fresh. I recommend it. The service is warm and thoughtful. The front desk lady found out that I am a member of Jinjianghui and reminded me that booking a room is more favorable. I stayed for another 2 days. Thank you🙏 The room facilities are recommended to be improved. The TV is good, but unfortunately the network is not good. It can't play normally and it keeps freezing. The design of the tea cabinet does not take into account guests over 1.7 meters tall. If you are not careful, you will hit your head. The mattress experience is not good, and your waist hurts after getting up.

I had a fantastic stay at Metropark Hotel Shanghai and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay in the city. The hotel’s location is ideal, conveniently situated near the subway, making it easy to get around Shanghai. It’s also close to various essential services, which added to the overall convenience of my stay.A special thank you to Iris, who was incredibly helpful and patient when I accidentally dropped my phone in a taxi. She went above and beyond to assist me in tracking it down, coordinating with the driver, and ensuring I got it back safely. Her professionalism and kindness truly made a difference, and I’m very grateful for her support. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Everything about my stay was smooth and hassle-free, making it a place I would definitely return to. Highly recommended!

A great hotel tucked in the beautiful streets of Jingan District. We enjoyed our stay at Ginko and loved how it’s in the heart of everything especially when you want to visit attractions scattered all over Shanghai. You are just a didi away.
The bathroom was large and well equipped and my kids loved having a bath in the tub every night. The bed was spacious enough to sleep a family of four with two young children.
The breakfast at the hotel is very basic and our only call out with this property. If you want good food for the family there are quite a few restaurants close to the hotel.
Ragu was a nice little Italian place for the family. There is also Orchard CRC if you want to get a quick Singaporean meal just around the corner from the hotel. There is also a lot Cafes around the property if you want your caffeine fix. Just walk around and explore.

The hotel is in a great location with plenty of restaurants just steps away. The nearest metro station is a bit of a walk, but still manageable. While the hotel isn’t luxurious, it’s clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Check-in was a bit of a challenge. The front desk staff didn’t speak English, and they seemed to have some difficulty registering our passports, which caused a slight delay. During our stay, there was ongoing construction at the hotel. Out of two elevators, only one was working, which sometimes led to longer waiting times.
There was some construction noise during the day, but since we were out most of the time, it didn’t really bother us. At night, it was quiet, so we still got a good night’s sleep.
The room itself was clean and well-maintained. One small disappointment was the “window” area — it wasn’t an actual window, but rather a decorative space with plants and a daylight-style lamp. It gave the illusion of natural light, but there was no real daylight coming in. That was a downside for me personally, but for a short stay, it was acceptable.
Check-out went smoothly, and thanks to our Trip.com status, we were able to check out late at 2 p.m. with no issues. They also stored our luggage without any problem, which was appreciated.

Facilities: The room facilities are old and have a strong sense of shabbyness. It feels like a state-owned enterprise in the early years.
Hygiene: The room is relatively clean, the table is clean, the bathroom has no odor, and the shower water is evenly hot and cold.
Environment: The room is equipped with a small refrigerator, spare pillows and blankets, which is the standard configuration of old enterprise hotels. The mattress is relatively hard, the quilt is thick, the air conditioner is used normally, and the TV cannot be watched.
Service: The front desk service is okay. There is only one girl. When there are many people, it is a bit too busy. The hotel is located in the southwest corner of Shanghai Railway Station. It is convenient to get on and off the train. Just walk straight to the entrance.

HOTEL BREAKFAST NOT RECOMMENDED
This has been my third time at this hotel, and it was always a pleasant stay. This was my first time however to try the breakfast, which was a deeply disappointing experience.
Western breakfast options are practically non-existent, even though it is stated as such on the hotel's page. Seating space is small compared to the number of guests. Breakfast service staff is slow and seems completely disinterested. The breakfast area is far from clean. Staff starts clearing away the food already 30 minutes before the actual end of breakfast service.
When I brought up with the hotel after the first day that we would like to cancel the breakfast due to the fact that we are not satisfied with it, they declined this option and directed us to the booking intermediary. When raising this with Trip.com, the hotel also declined the cancellation of breakfast through them also.
I find it completely ridiculous that such a large hotel does not allow you to cancel a breakfast booking when you bring up the lack of quality options. If I ever end up staying at this hotel again, I would NEVER go for the breakfast booking.

It was pretty same like a photo and the stuff was very friendly and helpful. I thought dears hotel should be 5 star hotel hehe. But the jakuzzi was bit dirty despite that everything is great the view and the environment. 😊

Very Good
GGuest UserThe location is very good, Anfu Road and Changle Road are within easy reach, and it is quiet in a busy city. The room is very clean, spacious, and has everything you need. Each room has a different decoration style. There is an exquisite Japanese food store downstairs, and the view of the courtyard downstairs can be seen from the balcony of the room. Great accommodation experience.
AAnonymous UserThe room was nice and spacious. The room is surrounded by market selling fruits and food and other shops which is great in a way but also in the early morning, there will be sound of people dragging trolleys and talking loudly which the room didn't have a good insulation system for.
More importantly, there's is no metro that was near enough that could walk within 10 minutes, every metro line station was very far away. The staff was not friendly, no talking or even simple greeting.
Not recommended.

CCharles ShuWe were drinking nearby and booked this place. The price/performance ratio is good, just over 100. The location is good, there are many bars and foreigners nearby, and there are many small restaurants. The room facilities are average.

HHuaijiudesunxiaomeiI booked a room for my parents, and they were quite satisfied! The room was better than expected. For a price of over 100 yuan, it was pretty good to have such an environment! The price/performance ratio was OK!
AAnonymous UserIt's quite clean and tidy, with well-equipped Wi-Fi TV and other equipment, and the bed is quite comfortable. It's a pity that the shower head in the bathroom leaked, so I didn't dare to take a shower. It's also close to the subway station and there is wind noise. It's not particularly quiet, but the price is decent, so it's okay.
QQi yuThe front desk service is very bad and unfriendly. In short, I will never choose this hotel to stay in when I go on business trips to Shanghai in the future. I returned to Shanghai on the 8th and have chosen another hotel to stay in. The cleaning lady was very careful and kept the room clean. She was also very easy to communicate with. Although the price is affordable, the service is really bad and she gave me a cold face. When I consulted, I was inexplicably scolded and indifferent. This is the worst time I have stayed in 50/60 hotels. I will never stay here again.

JJiaeryansangfujiI left Shanghai and searched for places near the train station. The price was good and not expensive! I scanned a bicycle and went there! It was OK to live there! I thought that places near the train station were usually expensive, but the price here was more acceptable to me! The main reason was that it was close, just one subway station away
