Hotels in Xuhui District, Shanghai

This guesthouse in a Shanghai 'lilong' house (old lane house) was a delightful surprise! First, the small alleyways really capture the authentic local vibe. Second, the room was incredibly spacious, easily comfortable for three people. Third, it was very quiet at night, and the bed was wide – I slept soundly until morning. Fourth, the concierge group was always prompt and helpful in their replies. The only downside is that it's an old house with narrow stairs, so a large suitcase might be a bit inconvenient.

The bedding was comfortable and clean. We received a free room upgrade, and we could see Xujiahui Cathedral from our window. The shower had strong water pressure, and the air conditioning got nice and cool. The hotel is located in the heart of Xujiahui, making transportation and dining very convenient. Xujiahui Cathedral, Xuhui Bookstore, and the Jiaotong University campus are all just a stone's throw away.

Came to Shanghai for a performance and stayed at One Lemon again! The location is absolutely fantastic. The hotel is incredibly, incredibly clean – truly a five-star standard. Due to a typhoon, my high-speed train was canceled, and I couldn't go home, so I extended my stay for another night through the mini-program. However, when it was time to switch rooms, there wasn't a clean one available. A huge shout-out to the front desk staff (the brother and sister who helped me)! They upgraded me to a double bunk bed for free. I was so touched! I'm going to love One Lemon forever! Will definitely be back next time!

Every time I go to the West Bund for a show, I stay at Atour. It's clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The only issue this time was that the glass door of the bathroom in my room didn't close properly, which was a bit inconvenient since I was staying with a friend. The front desk was very efficient and even gave me a complimentary breakfast. Everything is smart-controlled; if you need anything, you just order it via XiaoDu. Overall, it's pretty good.

The hotel's location and surroundings are quite good. It has its own garden, and right across from the VIP building exit are Wanping Park and Xujiahui Greenbelt. The room facilities are comprehensive, and breakfast is decent. The staff's service attitude is also very good. However, there are a few things I'd like to complain about: 1. **Parking:** There's no direct access between the parking lot and the hotel. You have to walk down stairs and then across a section of ground. Some areas in the parking lot had an unpleasant smell. I was told I could contact the front desk for a shuttle, but if it's too early (around 6 AM), there's no one available to drive. So, I had to walk to the parking lot in the pouring rain. 2. **USB Ports:** There were no USB ports on the room walls. When I asked the front desk, they said it was because the hotel was older and simply didn't have them. However, I coincidentally found a multi-functional power strip with several USB ports in the desk drawer. Clearly, the staff wasn't aware of this. 3. **Coffee Incident:** While drinking coffee at the lobby bar downstairs in the VIP building, I later found a several-centimeter-long thin plastic strip in my drink. The young ladies there were stumped and couldn't explain how it happened. Overall, the hotel is good, but further training for the staff is definitely needed.

Donghu Collection Hotel Building 6 (Achtung gegenüber vom Donghu Hotel, separat buchbar) Empfang Sehr gut auf englisch. Unkompliziert und wir konnten schon ca 11h einchecken weil die Zimmer fei waren (hervorragend) Zimmer Klein aber sehr modern und super sauber. Die Klimaanlage sehr gut, neu und sauber . Fenster können bei Bedarf geöffnet werden und sind mit Fliegengitter ausgestattet. Grundsätzlich ruhig aber morgens ist halt durch die Gäste die zum Frühstück gehen etwas Lärm vorhanden . Zimmerservice Sehr schnell gut 👍 organisiert. Thank you so much. Frühstück Meine Empfehlung Wir waren gegenüber bei Grande Alimentari . Gute Preise und gutes Frühstück oder auch gutes Essen oder Baker & Spice in der Mall 5th floor ca. 500m vom Hotel probieren. Umgebung Viele Bars teilweise teuer also aufpassen aber meine Empfehlung ist die Bar Funkadeli mit guten Preisen sowie sehr guten Service. Gym Gut ausgestattet und sauber Swimmingpool inside Sehr groß und sauber also zu empfehlen Check Out Absolut kompetent und 12h Vielen Dank wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

The service was very thoughtful, but the hotel maintenance was terrible. I didn't like that green mirror, it was a bit creepy. The lights at night were extremely dim (not even atmospheric, just dark). The room was filled with cheap metal designs. I liked the balcony, but not the balcony sofa. The courtyard had solar lights, so if there was no sun, the courtyard would be completely dark at night. Apparently, it was designed by a celebrity, but it's really nothing special – to each their own, I guess. It felt dirty everywhere... (These are just my personal opinions, whoever argues wins.)

The room was clean and comfortable, though the air conditioning was a bit temperamental, going from hot to cold. Overall, the comfort level was acceptable. The first room I stayed in had a noticeable electrical humming noise, and the night light wouldn't turn off. If I were really tired, I could have managed, but I ended up requesting a room change. On the other hand, breakfast and the convenience of the surrounding area were both really good.

Upon check-in, I found she had already arranged a room for me on the 26th floor with an excellent view, and all my requests were perfectly met. Such sincere and dedicated hospitality truly defines 'a home away from home'.
