We stopped for a beer whilst walking the Thames Path and 2 pints was almost £12 which is ridiculous. To be fair they were busy and short staffed but no warm or friendly welcome, I did feel that we were clearly not the type of clientele they welcome. My advice is to carry onto The Catherine Wheel in Henley which is excellent (Wetherspoons), lovely building and around £3 a pint.

Comfortable and tastefully decorated bedroom, excellent bathroom. Owner and his staff were friendly and cheerful. Breakfast was good quality and requests for changes to items on the "Full English" happily accepted, however it is not served every day, some days are "Continental", check with the property. The restaurant has a good selection and quality was excellent. Al fresco dining is also available in the beautiful garden. A great property made all the better by the staff.

The team at The Baskerville are simply great. They have been trained to be both welcoming as well as offering excellent service. Just everything is right - really above average food, great wine list, great ambience, effortless service, lovely new outdoor space, happy team in the kitchen (singing chefs, who knew?) matched by light and clean bedrooms (best mattress I've slept on away from home in a long time). Nothing was too much trouble, even the team who looked after us after we had returned late night from a wedding!! Seriously highly recommended - and we are really fussy!

Warm and engaging staff, delicious conscious dinner and fabulous breakfast. Comfortable room, soft bed with a wonderfully warm bathroom. 1 minute from station with a 4 minute train ride into Henley. A place great for a getaway.

Took my family and elderly father for Sunday lunch. Arrived for early sitting at 12.15. Restaurant was cold (we all kept our coats on for the meal) and the room smelled strongly of dirty drains. It slowly got warmer and the smell was diluted by the smell of cooking (or maybe we just got used to it). Not a good start. Sadly, things got worse when the food arrived. I had ordered the “British grass fed sirloin of beef 82 day dry aged ex dairy herd” roast at £24.50. It sounded great but was inedible; just raw, sinewy, gristly and chewy, impossible to eat. I explained to the waitress and she said she would have the kitchen prepare another plate of beef which had been cooked a little longer. When it arrived it was the same impossible to eat chewy beef, just cooked a bit longer. The vegetables (carrots, broccoli and cauliflower cheese was all severely undercooked (I like al dente, but this was simply undercooked to the extent my father was unable to cut a carrot in half). To their credit the manager (I think) saw I could not eat the beef and apologised and said I would not be charged for it. Fine, but it doesn’t really help much when you have made such an effort to have a nice meal and it is effectively spoiled for you and your guests because a “professional chef” is incapable of choosing a decent cut of beef and boiling some vegetables. All in all very disappointing.

We both had an exceptional time last night. Food was great and service was superb. Would certainly recommend The Baskerville and will be returning very soon.. The proprietors gave us an Anniversary card which was placed on our table. I was so surprised and we felt extremely held in high regard as customers,

Simple comfortable room, great restaurant downstairs and very good breakfast. Staff so helpful and friendly. Situated in a lovely area, walked into Henley and got train back, took 4 minutes. Would definitely recommend for a visit to Henley.
