Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena

The hotel is brand new and sits directly above Novena MRT station, offering direct access. The lobby is on the 22nd floor. Breakfast is plentiful, and there are shopping malls with plenty of dining options nearby. Newton Food Centre is about a 30-minute walk away.

The room was new, clean, and hygienic. The mall downstairs was very convenient. The hotel is located near villas with great views. Transportation is excellent, and it's easy to hail a taxi. The rooftop pool isn't big, but it's very clean, and the water temperature isn't cold in the morning. The small bar is also open at night, so if you're brave enough, you can swim while people drink and watch you from the shore.

We booked a connecting room last minute, and even though it was nearly 3500 yuan per night, the stay was incredibly comfortable. It's surrounded by local residential areas, so we didn't have to queue for food much. Ya Kun, 328 Katong Laksa, and Mr. Coconut were all conveniently accessible. Getting to the zoo by bus was also very easy, and Sentosa was a short taxi ride away. The subway is right behind the mall, making shopping on Orchard Road super convenient. The only minor downside was that it's a bit far from the Marina Bay area, but it's much better than the Swissotel we stayed at initially. It's quiet and comfortable, feeling more like a resort. On our last day, we had the rooftop pool practically to ourselves with the kids; the water was exceptionally clean and the experience was great – just be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen!

The room is tiny, really tiny, unlike any I've stayed in in other countries. You have to wait in a long line just to get breakfast. This is the only hotel I've ever stayed at that I've been disappointed with. The pool view is nice though, good for drinks and chats.

The location is convenient; there's a subway station downstairs, and it's easy to get to Sentosa. The hotel is clean, with connecting rooms. The kids slept in the twin beds, and we slept in the king bed. There's also a pool on the top floor.

Fantastic, super helpful! The hotel is directly connected to the mall, which is right outside Novena MRT station. The room was clean and comfortable, a bit small but easily fit a large suitcase for our family. The lobby on the 22nd floor offers great views, especially for catching the sunset. For Ya Kun Kaya Toast, it's just a short walk to United Square, which we visited for two days.
