The staffs need re training on how to talk to guest. Went to reception staff Don to ask for late check out. He mentioned 'if you can speak to the next guest on why their room is late, I let you have late check out' is this how a 5 star resort staff speaks to guest? The front desk overall, including the concierge have no smiles on their faces. Breakfast was good, staffs at f&b were friendly and accommodating.

Had higher expectations of Sofitel due to its 5-star rating and global reputation. However, we were left slightly disappointed by the service. The staff knew it was my birthday staycation when i checked in, but made no further attempt to acknowledge it besides wishing me happy birthday. Other than that, the room was clean and the location was fantastic.
