Spa hotels in Phuket

This hotel is close to the airport. I was arriving late and wanted something nearby, so I was torn between the JW Marriott and Pullman. Initially, I planned to stay just one night as a transit, but then decided against Racha due to the rainy season and rough seas, and just booked two nights at the Renaissance instead! It completely exceeded my expectations. Service! The Renaissance's service is truly exceptional! From check-in, the staff were incredibly friendly and proactive. Their well-trained, yet familiar and warm smiles and greetings made us feel very comfortable. The room had handwritten mirror art, a handwritten welcome letter, and we even received small handwritten gifts at the restaurant. Especially by the pool, a staff member literally ran over to set up our sun loungers, immediately brought cold drinks, and handed us towels – so enthusiastic and attentive! [Thumbs up][Thumbs up] Room The room was very, very spacious. We booked a standard room, and it comfortably accommodated two adults and two children. There was a sofa that could be converted into a bed, and the bathroom was also large. The room even had a balcony. It was very quiet for sleeping, with no airplane noise at all. The soundproofing was excellent, and we slept wonderfully. Dining The breakfast was abundant! The fried rice with chickpea curry was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. For dinner, there's a famous Thai restaurant with a great ambiance, and the mango sticky rice was tasty. Overall, it wasn't crowded at all – it offered that perfectly unhurried, comfortable, and suitable vacation vibe! It's ideal for those who dislike crowds and prefer a pure, quiet, and relaxing hotel-centric holiday!

The room had a strong musty smell. Every time I returned from outside, it was very noticeable. The hotel's corridors are open-air. It was pouring rain when I checked in. The first room I was given was on a low floor, near the elevator, with an obstructed view and extremely close to the building's exterior corridor. I could hear the heavy rain even with the door closed, which was completely opposite to my request. At first, they said there were no twin rooms available for change, and if I wanted a higher floor, I could only get a king-size bed room (I was originally traveling alone, but my mother unexpectedly joined me later, so I preferred a twin room to avoid disturbing each other). Later, they said there was a twin room on a higher floor. The view after the change was still not satisfactory; it was obstructed and near the elevator, but better than the first room. The hotel service was good, and the staff were very attentive. However, The Nai Harn doesn't have a dedicated parking lot; you just park on the roadside outside the hotel. The breakfast taste was mediocre. If I had an unobstructed sea view, I would have been satisfied, because it rained heavily for three days in Phuket, and I was basically stuck in the hotel. But if it's not a perfect view, staying in such an out-of-the-way, remote place like Nai Harn is simply not worth it. P.S. The beach wasn't very clean; there was a dead seabird on the sand.

The staff here are all very friendly and extremely enthusiastic. We especially appreciate Rach's proactive and friendly service. Although the lobby is a bit far from the rooms and we had to call the front desk every time we went out or came back, the shuttle service arrived very quickly and never delayed us. Even when we returned late, there were always staff members on standby to drive us back to our room immediately. The hotel provides shuttle services to and from the Old Town and Central Festival. It would be even better if we could take the shuttle to the Old Town and then be picked up from Central Festival on the return trip. The room was spacious, clean, and the air conditioning was excellent, though the water pressure was a bit weak. The hotel environment is quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. I would definitely want to stay at this hotel again!

The hotel indeed has very few Chinese guests, but they were still quite friendly towards us. I'm not sure if it was because they initially messed up my name, or for some other reason, but they upgraded us from a family room to a suite, which was large and beautiful. We were very satisfied with our stay, and there was an ocean view right outside the window. The hotel environment is nice, but the breakfast is just average. It's not too far or too close to Jungceylon and the seafood market, about a 20-minute walk, but taxis are quite expensive. The only downside is that it's too noisy at night; you can hear all the sounds from the road and the bars, and the soundproofing is a bit poor.

I booked a one-bedroom villa, and after visiting and comparing several units, I truly believe Villa #68 is the absolute best among the one-bedroom options! The layout and size are optimal! The villa boasts a generous 550 sqm, offering huge space and a comfortable layout. It comes with a private pool that directly connects to the beach, making both privacy and the views impeccable. The amenities are also comprehensive: a sauna, indoor and outdoor dual showers, and an outdoor bathtub, instantly delivering a complete resort feel and comfort. The hotel itself has a very natural, ecological island vibe. We saw lizards several times on the villa rooftop and by the pool. At first, it was a bit scary, but they are actually very docile and completely non-aggressive – a rather unique wilderness experience. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special. The service was excellent throughout; all staff members were enthusiastic, friendly, meticulous, and attentive. A special shout-out to Liam, who provided dedicated service from start to finish, always responsive, patiently helping us arrange all our needs with professionalism and warmth! However, there are a few objective points that deduct from the overall score: Firstly, the hotel's landscaping and gardening are rather ordinary compared to other resorts in the same category. Most of the public areas are sandy, with sparse and poorly maintained plants, making them generally not photo-worthy. Secondly, the in-room facilities are a bit dated, especially the bathroom. The quality of the fixtures and sanitary ware like the toilet and showerhead feels quite common, which doesn't quite match the Luxury Collection brand positioning. Getting to the island involves a bit of a journey, from the airport to the pier and then a speedboat transfer, but it feels worth it upon arrival. If you're looking for an extra-large private villa, private pool, direct beach access, and excellent service, this place is still highly recommended. However, if you are sensitive to the public area landscaping and the newness of indoor hardware, you might want to do a bit more research.

My family and I stayed at La Green Hotel for two months, and it was a wonderful experience! The hotel completely met and even exceeded our expectations. From the very first day, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel like family. A huge thank you especially to Maxim, the Russian-speaking manager at the reception – he helped us with absolutely everything: from check-in and daily practicalities to advice on local places and transportation. Thanks to him, we quickly adapted and felt right at home. When our daughter fell ill, the hotel thoughtfully brought chicken broth to our room. And for our daughter's birthday, the hotel beautifully decorated the room and brought a basket of fruits and a cake as a gift. This was especially valuable when being so far away from home. The rooms are clean, cozy, and regularly cleaned. Everything you need is there: air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, and a comfortable bed. The grounds are green and well-maintained – the hotel's name perfectly matches the atmosphere: lots of plants, quiet, peaceful, a true oasis. I want to specifically highlight the breakfasts – always fresh, delicious, and varied. There are Asian dishes, as well as familiar European options: eggs, toast, fruit, and coffee. It's a great start to the day, especially when you're staying for a long time and want a proper breakfast instead of having to search for a café in the morning. The location is excellent: there are several cafes nearby, a 7/11 store where you can buy everything you need, and the beach is not far, with a shuttle taking you there every 30 minutes. At the same time, there's no noise or hustle and bustle – ideal for a long stay. Over two months, I didn't encounter a single serious problem. The value for money is top-notch. I will definitely come back here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful place in Phuket. Thank you, La Green, and personally Maxim, for an unforgettable time! 🙏💚

Staying at the Hyatt Regency in Phuket this time was an excellent choice. The hotel offers a variety of restaurants for guests, and while the prices are a bit higher, the overall value for money is outstanding. There are also several night markets nearby, less than a 30-minute drive away, offering even more dining options at more affordable prices, making transportation very convenient. The hotel facilities are excellent in all aspects, and the staff are polite, responsive, proactive, and enthusiastic! I must also mention the breakfast buffet – the diverse selection and fresh ingredients are truly commendable. Thumbs up for the breakfast!

We booked a pool-view room, and it was great. The layout and design were very good. Although it's not huge at just over 40 square meters, it was quite comfortable for two adults and one child. The front desk and concierge staff were all very polite and had warm smiles. The breakfast spread was extensive and served until 11 am, which really added to the holiday vibe. There weren't many Chinese guests. My husband commented that at breakfast, you could see people of different skin tones, confirming that the hotel was indeed full of international guests. To be honest, the pool isn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate for the kids to play in for two days. There's also a small sandpit next to the pool. The biggest surprise was the kids' club! It even had a ball pit and tons of toys. Our child's favorite place each day wasn't the pool, but the kids' club. The staff there were very responsible; they'd confirm with parents whether each child was allowed to leave on their own when entering, and required a sign-in and sign-out every time, which made us feel very secure. Free bicycles were also provided, so you could cycle to 7-Eleven for supplies. Of course, there were some downsides. The beach waves were indeed quite strong, so you could only splash around by the shore. It's also true that it's far from town; 7-Eleven isn't within walking distance. To get around, you either need a taxi or a bicycle. There are also wild massage parlors next to the hotel beach offering massages for 500 baht an hour, as well as two Thai restaurants. They're more expensive than outside but cheaper than the hotel, and the food was decent.

Spectacular views of the sea from the rooms make this resort a winner for feelings of peace and solitude. My room included a ceiling fan and a separate rain shower next to the bath tub. A massive free breakfast buffet starts the day for most guests, with changing options on a daily basis. Before breakfast I walked down the steep driveway to the private beach to swim either in the sea or the small pool next to it. At 7 am there is nobody around. One morning I took out a kayak (one hour free) which had stunning panoramic views. There are two swimming pools by the resort’s main building and both are delightful for swimming and relaxing. Nothing much to do in the evening and the TV channel selection could be expanded with movie channels (e.g., HBO, Cinemax), educational channels like Discovery Asia, and nature channels like BBC Earth and Love Nature. I partook in a 90 minute herbal pack massage which was a bit pricy but very professional. Both lunch and dinner menus have sufficient variety of dishes and food quality was good. Staff were always helpful. In summary, Supalai Scenic Bay Resort is a wonderfully serene experience at a very reasonable room price.          

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Sunset Beach Resort. The facilities are a bit dated, but they are well maintained, which I truly appreciate. You can tell the resort takes good care of what it has. The location is generally fine, though the beach directly in front of the resort isn’t the best. Patong Beach is about a 300+ meter walk away, which is manageable, just something to note for guests who expect a beachfront swimming spot. The only part that slightly affected our experience was the shuttle service — not a big issue, but a memorable one. On 1 February, around 5:30 PM, we informed the front desk that we needed the 6:30 PM shuttle to Bangla Street. We even confirmed it twice and were told to sit and wait, as the staff would notify us when the shuttle arrived. We made sure they knew exactly where we were waiting. By 7:00 PM, after no update, we went back to the front desk only to be told that the shuttle had already left. The staff apologized and admitted she had overlooked us, and arranged the next shuttle. Nothing serious — just an unexpected extra 30 minutes of “resort relaxation time” we hadn’t planned for. 😊 Still, aside from this hiccup, the stay was comfortable, and with a bit more attention to shuttle coordination, the experience would be even better.
