CClaire MI love Pera Palace Hotel!!! It's been love at first sight! ❤️ It's been my dream since about two years to spend a night here and finally last night my husband and I did, and even with my extremely high expectations the stay even surpassed those - it was one of the best hotel stays ever - and we had a lot! 😉 Pera Palace Hotel has such a vibrant history and it nourishes this historical vibe, it's like living in a museum, it is as if you've been dropped into another time about one hundred years back - absolutely lovely, mesmerizing, breathtaking! 😍 On the way to our room #512, we took the first elevator of the country made of wood and cast iron and installed in 1892 - what an exciting ride! 🤩 The ROOM!!! I had booked the Greta Garbo corner room and it DID look like on the pictures - beautiful!!! Again, talking about travelling in time ... Bed was comfy, bathroom with cute old style bathtub 🛁 ... Everything was perfect! There was enough complimentary water, the option to make espresso, tea,... Minibar was available as well but we chose to have a nice glass of Whiskey at the Oriental Bar instead in the evening - so stylish, such a cozy flair, plus quite a big choice of different whiskeys ... 🥃 The service from check-in until check-out was impeccable - valet, reception, Turkish coffee at Kubbeli Lounge, drinks at Oriental Bar, Agatha Restaurant for breakfast with a fantastic buffet... the SPA area is quite small, but very nice as well ... We had a little steam room and sauna session that was very relaxing before retiring to our room for the night ... This morning, after the delicious breakfast, we visited the Atatürk museum - room #101 where Atatürk used to reside starting from 1917 until he took residency at Dolmabahçe Palace. What else can I say? Well, check out the list of all the famous people from all over the world who stayed at Pera Palace Hotel! And watch Midnight at the Pera Palace on Netflix 🗝️ 😃 ... And then try it out yourself and you'll see, it's as stunning as I'm saying!!! 😍😍😍 We'll be back, I REALLY want to! ❤️ On the last picture you can see a gift that I received when checking out 🥰 - so it's clear, we are meant to be back!!! And if I choose the room we will stay at very carefully next time we might even be able to travel in time ... 🤣

LLibukaidechenghuaThe rooms were, as always, very comfortable, and the bathroom system was excellent. The hotel view was also beautiful, especially from the breakfast restaurant, in the innermost corner, where you can see the strait – truly a delightful breakfast experience. If I had to pick a downside, it would be the surprisingly strict security check to enter The Ritz-Carlton in Istanbul, where both people and bags have to be scanned! I later found out that many diplomats stay here… so… you get it. The hotel provided various chocolates, as shown in the picture. The toiletries cost 45 Euros per bottle if you take them home, but you can use them freely inside the hotel. There were many old maps of Istanbul in the hallway, and my child spent a long time studying them with great interest.

GGuest UserI stayed at Roco Hotel in Taksim for about two weeks after getting stranded while traveling to the Middle East and needing to quickly find a place to stay while figuring out my next steps during a period of regional tensions. The reception was calm and very accommodating when I arrived. They upgraded me to a room the first night, and when I later extended my stay, they moved me to another room, both of which were comfortable. Housekeeping kept the room very clean and laundry service was available, which was helpful during a longer stay. The location is excellent. It is right in the middle of Taksim with easy walking access to Istiklal Avenue, the mosque, restaurants, markets, pharmacies, ATMs, and multiple currency exchange offices. It’s a very convenient area if you want quick access to many things in the city, and restaurants nearby can also deliver food directly to the hotel if you prefer to stay in. The staff were friendly and welcoming, from the reception team to the housekeeping staff. My only complaint was the amount of solicitation through WhatsApp after I shared my contact information. When I extended my reservation, I received repeated messages about prices and tours, which felt a bit overwhelming. It would be better if communication was limited to necessary hotel matters unless the guest specifically asks for additional services. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend the hotel, especially for short stays. The location alone makes it a great base for exploring Istanbul.

GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at this hotel and liked its location. Staff are friendly and helpful and we appreciated the daily room cleaning and reset. The best feature of the hotel is that it is well situated to explore Istanbul and is about a 10 minute walk to the Sultanahmet Square where you will find many of the main attractions in Istanbul like Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. There is a tram line station very close to the hotel and it is a short walk to Sirkeci metro station. It was a good base for us as we checked out the areas across the water. It is a little far from both airports with each taking about 1.5 hours to get to but we felt the location was worth the time. The room's decor was a bit aged but charming. The beds were comfy and you can get extra pillows here. The room ran a bit warm during our stay but it was a bit noisy outside with frequent tram trains and restaurants below so we kept the window shut. They do have air conditioning and a radiator but we felt the AC wasn't worth turning on during a cool stay in December. Our neighbours were a bit noisy and it kept my wife up but I had no issues sleeping. It was moderately inconvenient when the restaurant decided to pop their new year's eve decorations at 1 in the morning. The bathroom was good and clean with good shower pressure, soft towels and we appreciated the warming rack for the towels. They provide soap and shampoo in dispensers in the shower. The breakfast was decent enough to start the day. They had enough to do a Turkish style breakfast and most options were pretty light. They had some hot items like sausage, scrambled eggs and other options that changed daily. They also had an area for cold items like cheese, labneh, yoghurt, vegetables and some cold cuts. They had a limited selection of fruit with some oranges and apples. They also had coffee, tea, juice and water. I had an early check out on my last day and they made me a nice bagged lunch to go to the airport with and have me a big can of juice which was very nice. The hotel provides bottled water for guests as well as lots of tea for in room use. The hotel has a restaurant on site and a small outdoor patio that is open for lunch, dinner and late dinner. They have some spa and massage treatments that you can book at the front desk. There are quite a few bath, restaurants, shops and other experiences nearby. People in the area are very friendly, welcoming and will invite you into their shop or restaurant...frequently.

JJohnO🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Truly Exceptional Stay at DoubleTree by Hilton! Topkapi Istanbul From the moment we arrived, we were treated with genuine warmth and professionalism that made our stay unforgettable. The entire team at DoubleTree by Hilton went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed, comfortable, and cared for every single day. A special shout-out to Zineb from guest services, greeted with a warm smile and made check-in a breeze. Ozen & Melisa from reception was incredibly helpful in arranging local tours and dining recommendations — every suggestion was spot-on! Also want to thank Ali & Mustafa from ballboy services, whose attentive and proactive care made us feel like VIPs, who was not only efficient but also shared great tips for exploring the area. This team is truly the heart of the hotel — their friendliness, professionalism, and dedication created a warm and inviting atmosphere we won’t forget. Thank you all for a 5-star experience — we’ll definitely be back!

ММария ЧуринаDate of stay: Night of September 26–27, 2025 Guests: ***** ******* and ********* ******** Room: 308 We booked Miapera Hotel & Spa for one night, from September 26 to 27, 2025. During our stay, a fire broke out on the first floor of the hotel. The staff informed us that it was unsafe to remain in our room and offered to relocate us to two nearby hotels. However, the alternative hotels provided were far below the standard of Miapera: both rooms smelled strongly of cigarettes, had a musty, old odor, and overall offered much lower comfort and cleanliness levels. We politely declined the relocation and agreed with the hotel management that they would issue a full refund for our booking. We then checked into another hotel ourselves — the Troya Hotel, located on the same street. The rate was approximately 75 EUR, nearly identical to the Miapera booking price. The Miapera staff assured us that our names were added to the refund list and that the refund would be processed within a week. Trusting their word, we continued our travels in Turkey. However, more than 9 days have now passed, and we have not received any refund. When we tried to contact the hotel again, the staff stopped responding, and later one of them even stated that they would not be returning the money, despite their earlier promise. This behavior is unacceptable and represents a serious breach of trust and customer service standards. According to Article 8 of Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 (Tüketicinin Korunması Hakkında Kanun), the customer has the right to a refund when the service was not provided or became impossible due to reasons caused by the provider. A fire is considered a force majeure situation, and therefore the hotel is responsible for offering equivalent accommodation or a full refund. We urge Trip.com to investigate this case, as the hotel’s conduct reflects poorly on the platform and undermines customer confidence. Miapera Hotel & Spa demonstrated a lack of responsibility, low customer orientation, and unprofessional attitude. We strongly advise other travelers to avoid this hotel, and we request Trip.com to intervene and ensure that the refund is issued for the night we could not stay there due to the hotel’s internal incident.

DDawood Al-SalmanUpon arrival we received a room facing the main street. We could not sleep well because of the noise of the cars, but the next day the room was replaced with a quieter one. Thanks to the understanding staff. Everything was good, but the room's bathroom is old and needs maintenance and updating.

AAnonymous UserThe room was nice, but there's a mosque nearby, so it got a bit noisy in the mornings. The breakfast was really bad, but the hygiene and environment were decent. The main issue was that many of the staff didn't speak English, which made communication difficult.
