3-Star Hotels in Istanbul

The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival, they offered coffee or tea and provided maps, explaining nearby attractions and convenience stores, which was super helpful. They even gave me a special scarf, which came in handy for visiting the mosque as it requires a headscarf – a meaningful touch! They also helped carry my luggage upstairs and provided several complimentary bottles of water, which not all hotels do. The breakfast spread was one of the best I've had at any hotel, with a good variety, and the fruits like cherries and watermelon were very sweet! When checking out, they even gave me a local fridge magnet, which was a lovely gesture! The value for money is excellent, and the owner and staff are all so warm. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and its location is fantastic – very close to the mosque. You just have to walk up a hill and cross the road to get there, or you can take the tram up the hill for convenience. The only downside is that the uphill path can be quite steep and uneven, so wearing sneakers is recommended for comfort. Hauling luggage can be a bit challenging, but you can always take a taxi directly to the hotel entrance. Despite the tricky walk, overall, I'm extremely satisfied!

Review of Pera Sultan suit: Hotel was booked for 2 person, I told in advance what will we need: expat pillows, blankets, plates with cups, cutlery ets. Send messages few times and got reply, so all will be ready. First day, I arrived, while check told about second person who will arrive next day. (All was in booking). When next morning second person arrive they didn’t let check in that easy seems in booking was only one person, even if other person showed his name in booking and all details. Reception didn’t open door from the room seems they don’t have extra key, so woke me up to open the door by myself! First day when I enter to the room, floor was dirty and there was no dishes, only one blanket and added few pillows, but only decor pillows. Actually it was only kettle and 2 small plastic glass with water to drink. When I asked about cups they showed me plastic. It was weird bcz I asked them in advance and also how I can put hot water there, have no idea. So asked them again and owner take me to the room where I told some plates, cups and other stuff like that. Next day (second day) was asked about cleaning. Because for sure the first day nobody clean anything, so answer was “ones in 3 days”, and was not matter of floor was dirty from the first day. Most needed things got from the reception. I could say thanks, but for sure it should be in the room from the beginning. Requested quiet room on booking and in the end somebody was building house next to the hotel. And get ready to listen azan 5 times per day pretty loud. Also the is no space to keep things like shampoo or others on the bathroom. Balcony was nice, nobody was cleaning the floor there while staying, but it supposed to. Also first cleaning was the 5th day. I guess ones in 3 days was accepted wrong, ones in 4-5 days usually. Floor wasn’t clean very well, seems nobody never washed the floor in the living room. Just changing towels and bedsheets. Also clean towels and bedsheets doesn’t mean very clean, always was somebody’s hairs on there. Comfortable location, there are few shops nearby so u always can buy some water, vegetables etc. Close to Taksim metro station. Only few days we saw the guy in reception who speaks English. Son of owners. Most of the time was people who wasn’t able to understand or speak English, it makes things a bit harder. But room was pretty light, with good curtains. They accept dollars, Turkish lira, Euro in reception . I didn’t make lots of pics (wasn’t sure if want to give a feedback, but can be useful). The plates on pic I took from kitchen of owner family to use. Mostly staying was ok, could be much better. Thanks.

A nice small hotel with all amenities, and timely cleaning. The cafe offers a stunning view of the sea and the strait. Cormorants and crows are always a delight to see, waiting for guests to arrive for breakfast. The location is very convenient, close to the metro, ferry crossings, and Bosphorus tours. Airport transfer can also be arranged. Special thanks to the staff for their hospitality.

Location 10/10. The staff, Muhammad and Nargis, were the best, and there was another guy whose name I don't know. Everyone helped as much as they could 🫠. The room was clean; towels and bedding were sufficiently provided on the first day. Liquid soap, shampoo – everything as booked. Thank you.

Good day! I'll start by saying that the hotel failed to fulfill its obligations regarding the booked room. We booked a family room with a balcony for our family. Upon arrival at the hotel for check-in, we were immediately told that there were problems with our room and they couldn't accommodate us. They offered us one night in a different hotel. A bellboy escorted us to the other hotel and carried our luggage. The alternative hotel turned out to be, to put it mildly, a dump – tiny rooms, a non-functional air conditioner; in short, it was awful. We were so upset that we just dropped our suitcases and immediately went out into the city, only returning to sleep. The next morning, we returned to our hotel for breakfast and to store our luggage. After breakfast, we inquired about our room and were told it would be ready by 2 PM, even though the day before they had promised we might be able to check in that morning. They lied again, but we decided not to get too upset and went out to explore. We returned to the hotel at 2:30 PM, and to our surprise, the reception handed us two key cards for different rooms – not even adjoining, but located at opposite ends of the floor. So much for a family room! Furthermore, when we returned to the hotel, the electricity had been off since 12 PM, and they promised it would be back on by 8 PM… We decided to check out the offered rooms. Naturally, they didn't at all match what we had booked; there was no balcony, for which we had paid extra. Since we were already exhausted from all the 'hostel hopping,' we decided to just take the offered rooms. But it was a complete disappointment! Returning to the hotel in the evening, around 11:30 PM, the electricity that was promised by 8 PM still hadn't come back on, which also meant no hot water and no air conditioning. A large group of guests gathered at the entrance, demanding a solution (by the way, the manager is constantly absent, and if you want to talk to him, you have to wait 1-2-3 hours). As a result, the hostess tried again to offer relocation to another hotel for one night. Everyone went to get their belongings, and to our surprise, when we came back down, no one was there; they had simply forgotten about us. Meanwhile, it was already past midnight. We waited for the hostess to return and for us to be moved. About 1.5 hours later, all the guests were brought back 😂 apparently, they couldn't find enough 'hotels' to accommodate everyone. After some time, around 2 AM, the electricity finally came back on. So, out of 3 nights, we spent 2 nights in complete stress and confusion. By the way, the electricity went out again the next day at the hotel, but they managed to restore it quicker. Regarding the hotel service: the toilet paper in the room ran out, and the TV wasn't working. First, my husband asked at reception for more paper and to fix the TV. Then I personally asked the housekeepers who were cleaning our room for paper. To our surprise, when we returned to the room in the evening, the paper was still not there! And of course, the TV still wasn't working. I had to visit reception twice more to get a roll of paper. The water in the room was never refilled during our entire stay. The room we booked was supposed to have slippers; in the rooms they gave us, one had them, the other didn't. The hotel offered breakfast on the restaurant terrace. The breakfast was average; everything was dried out because it wasn't covered in any way, and the selection was mediocre – lots of cheese of one type, various cold cuts, boiled eggs, fruits (in the first few days, a meager amount of melon and sliced oranges with grapefruit; later, perhaps when foreign tourists arrived, the selection became richer). The coffee machine, of course, wasn't working; there was only instant coffee, which quickly ran out, and we constantly had to ask for more. The only positive was the view from the terrace during breakfast. Otherwise, I do not recommend this hotel. There are many problems, constant promises, but no action to fix the situation. My rating for the hotel is 1 out of 10.

У отеля только один плюс - отличное местоположение и все. За эти деньги в данной локации можно найти отель и получше. Сервис оставляет желать лучшего. В номере на входе не работает выключатель. Свет включается только выключателей рядом с кроватью. Администратору сказала, никто ничего не сделал. На фото номер выглядит намного красивее, отель кажется новым, в реальности - все намного проще. В номере нет воды. Нонсонс. Во всех отелях Стамбула вода есть. На ресепшн сказали, что хозяин экономит. 40 рублей вода стоит. Капец. Завтрак на террасе. Терраса маленькая, мест всем не хватает. Вид никакой. Если есть возможность , выбирайте другой отель.

I met the kindest and nicest host while staying in Istanbul. They even upgraded my room and made my check-in time 2 hours earlier, and they welcomed me warmly. This was the first time I felt kindness among the Turkish people I met for 4 days. The room was also nice. The water pressure was strong! The room was really spacious.

Convenient location. Staff was helpful.

It was amazing experience in such a reasonable price and everything included and almost all the famous tour spots were on few minutes walking distance and cooperation of office team was realloy amazing, highly recommended.
