**Review for Gurkha Houseboats** Our stay at Gurkha Houseboats was one of the most memorable experiences, especially given the high standards of the property. Our large family group of 19 was comfortably accommodated across two houseboats. The interiors were beautifully handcrafted from walnut wood, with each room uniquely decorated. The drawing and dining areas were impressive, and the lower level balcony provided stunning views of Nagina Lake. Additionally, the property featured a large deck with views of the lake and snow-capped mountain range. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Gurkha Houseboats is affiliated with ITC and the Welcomgroup of Hotels, a leading hotel chain in India, which was evident in their service quality. The most memorable aspect of our stay was the personalized care and service from the promoter, owner, and staff members. Special thanks to the ***ager, Tanveer; the owners, Mr. Saboor, Rafiq, and Mudassir; and the caretakers, Maqbool Chacha, Mashkoor, and Muzakkir, who made our stay truly special. I highly recommend Gurkha Houseboats for an exclusive and unique experience.

After lot of research we figured out that if one is looking for a houseboat with calm and serene surroundings then Nigeen lake is the apt place. If you have an eye for craftsmen ship then it's a delight to look at the woodcarvings. The boat was very neat and clean with every modern amenities. The deck overlooking the snowcapped mountains and the reflection of shikara on the lake is like a painting coming to life. What makes a place memorable is the hospitality, Mr. Riyaz and Mr. Ashraf took very good care of us. The food was tasty and so was the kahwa. Don't forget to pay a visit to the heritage emporium where they educate you about authentic kashmiri carpets and pashmina. Just choose this houseboat and they will make sure to make it perfect for you.

It was an exquisite experience of ambience, decor, hospitality, food, comfort and vibe. All the staff took great care to extend a warm and homely stay! The view from deck was outstanding. Gurkha Houseboat #4 - We stayed at Houseboat #4. Maqbool chacha was awesome! He made sure each & every need of the customer was taken care of. The food was very very delicious and felt like home cooked food. When medicines were required, he made sure the meds were arranged as quickly as possible. Made sure we didn't get taken for a ride for the various Shikara rides (boat rides). Thank you Maqbool Chacha for such hospitality shown to us!

Gurkha Houseboat is the best Houseboat in Kashmir. Without staying in Gurkha Houseboat kashmir Trip incomplete. I am highly Thankful to the Caretaker Mr. Tanvir. He is very helpful to the tourists and Mr Mukul chacha is very helpful during our Stay in Kashmir . We enjoyed Homely Vegetarian food during our stay in Gurkha Houseboat Kashmir. Just phenomenonal.... lovely experience. Stayed for a night. First of all... lovely staff. Homely feel and experience. Great food. Super peaceful. Very clean, exquisite woodwork. It is definitely a worthy experience to have. Will be back.....
