GGuest UserStarting with the positives. The construction and decor was great. Showering space was also nice and new. Staff were also helpful and nice.
Amenities are ok. Everything you would expect for washing up. But no AC for many rooms without windows is a travesty. Only a electric fan that can only blow for 1 hour at a time. Easy to get asphyxiated at night.
Horrible stench of body odor and cigarette smoke was present when I entered my room.
Hygiene seemed alright until I showered. And with a small waft of the towels a terrible stench of cigarette odor pierced my nostrils.. Expecting guests to wipe off with this odorous smell is disappointing.
Water also leaks from the shower compartment into the toilet floor.

The beds are soft and comfy, good showers with very hot water. Rooms were clean. The buses from outside connect well to the Muslim area of the city and the restaurants nearby are nice. Staff are friendly.
Bad points -
We booked a non smoking room, all the rooms available were infact non smoking and yet the whole place absolutely stank of cigarettes.
We moved rooms because after dinner we came back to a haze of smoke in the room, everyone must be smoking.
I live in China, I realise this isn't uncommon, but in that case don't advertise non smoking rooms.

GGuest UserExcellent hostel! Enthusiastic and friendly young owners who welcomed me with social activities and evening hotpot. The location is excellent, 15 minutes walk between train and bus stations and the mosques. Easy access by bus to Kumbum monastery. Showers are hot and there was a washing machine but I didn't use this. Minor drawbacks: it's a cold hostel so you need to wear layers inside, and the cleanliness is only average. Overall, it's a really good budget hostel and I'd stay again for sure.

GGuest UserI only stayed one night but it was honestly one of my best hostel experiences! Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming — I felt at home right away. In the evening, we all shared a barbecue together which made it so easy to connect with people.
And bonus: there are the cutest cats ever 🐱❤️
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good vibes and lovely people!

MMiki Pkt.The bed was comfortable, even without air conditioning. The weather was nice in September, but the hot water in the shower was sometimes hot, sometimes just a little warm. The room was spacious and clean. The location was good, close to a supermarket and many restaurants to choose from. If I have the chance, I will stay here again. It's a good place to stay.

Bbebou around the worldWe found the hotel easily. The lobby seems to be shared with another hotel. Check-in was possible even late at night. The reception staff upgraded us into a room with a window which was nice. The room in itself is small but functional. The bed is small but comfy. The TV worked well. There's a laundry room that you can use for free but the dryer mode doesn't work. The amenities are outdated and cleanliness is really not what you would expect. Our toilet seat was broken, the sink was dirty (we removed some stains with just water and toilet paper) and it was leaking. The walls have some very nasty stains on it and there's dust and stains on many things inside the room (bedside tables, fan, wardrobe, bedside lights, etc). One very annoying thing is that when you don't close your door properly, there's a loud alarm that quickly starts ringing. Unfortunately, when it's breakfast time, many people don't care and will leave that to ring until they come back, and it's very annoying. Breakfast is Chinese food only and not that great. Plus it is served in a very small room where there's definitely not enough space for everybody so you might have to wait. On the second day, housekeeping took our bath mat and didn't replace it, so we had to use another towel. On the third day, despite putting the ”do not disturb sign” on the door, housekeeping knocked several times until told that we didn't need anything. I mean it's nice of them, but the point of having the sign is not to be disturbed. Depending on when you take your shower, the water can be a bit dodgy (fine at night, but in the morning, it goes from burning to barely hot to burning again which can be annoying). The layout of the bathroom is weird as well as the toilet protrudes in the middle of the bathroom making it complicated to move around, exit the shower or even use the sink (especially since ours was leaking all over). Shower glass doors also don't close properly so lots of water is coming out. Our laundry string was broken so we had to find another way to dry our laundry.
I think it's important to note as well that as foreigners, we have been followed to our door by some other guests, and were stared at by others until we entered our room and closed the door which didn't feel safe for my girlfriend.
All in all, if you don't care about cleanliness, then it's ok as it's well located.

GGuest UserGreat location, but the room and hotel were in decline. The room’s carpet had more hair than I thought possible, clearly hadn’t been vacuumed - possibly ever. Every part of the room had stains and cigarette burn marks, the bathroom was also not clean. For one night, perfectly fine as location is excellent for sights and train station. For more than that, I would choose a better place.

RrobinmetralThe two people managing this hotel are very helpful, despite the language barrier. They went out of their way to find a laundry shop for us, and made sure we were OK with the room.
The room itself is a bit dated, but functional. The main downside for us was the lack of ”real towel” (only single use towels are provided.
For light sleepers, keep in mind that the popular night market street is just below. It can be noisy until quite late in the night.
Otherwise, the location is ideal: close to many eateries, the main mosque, and convenient transportation.

GGuest UserMy home is right in front of Harmony Homes. If it weren't for the guests at home, I wouldn't have known there was such an affordable hotel.
The experience is very good. A lot of toiletries are given as gifts, so you don’t need to take them from home. The decoration of the room is quite new. The mattresses and quilt cores on the bed should not have been used for a long time. They are all quite new, which is good.
We booked two rooms, and found out that the stickers on the walls of each room were different, each with its own meaning, and they were very thoughtful.
All the guest supplies in the room are disposable, so you don’t have to worry about hygiene and whether there are bacteria. You can just replace them after use. The business really thinks about consumers. In the future, guests who come to the house will choose your place to stay. Rest assured, feel at ease and take care! ! ! 👍👍👍
