JingcaixiaoyaojingThe room was quite spacious and had a balcony with a glimpse of the Li River, which was a pleasant surprise. The room facilities were well-planned and functional. The inn's decor was stylish, with a Chinese aesthetic that made every photo-op Instagram-worthy – perfect for ladies in traditional outfits. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and spoke excellent English, which explains the high number of foreign guests and the great atmosphere. Their ground-floor restaurant has been on the 'must-eat' list for several years running and is very famous and popular locally, with long queues every day – definitely give it a try. Hotel guests get a 10% discount, and remember to ask the front desk to arrange a table for you to skip the queue, otherwise, you'll be waiting forever.

The location is excellent, very close to the 20-yuan Lijiang River scenic pier. The environment is clean and tidy, and the room is very spacious. The service attitude is superb. I booked for two nights and was supposed to check out by 12 PM on the third day. However, on the second night, my child was hit by a car and transferred to Guilin Hospital. It wasn't until the evening of the third day that my husband had time to go check out and pack our luggage. The owner kept the room for us and didn't rush us to check out at all. The owner is a truly compassionate person; they repeatedly inquired about my child's condition, didn't charge us for the late checkout, and even gave my child a red envelope. For this booking, the owner truly went above and beyond, practically losing money. Such big-hearted owners are truly rare. I wish the owner a prosperous business and abundant wealth. Thank you for your immense kindness.

Marcia PrescottIf you are in this area, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. It was a great experience. The feeling is very rustic and feels old. But really really awesome. The people there can speak English really well. They took good care of us and made sure that we had everything we needed. Breakfast was included and we had an option for an American breakfast. It was kind of nice after we'd been in China for so long. There's a lot of amazing scenery nearby. And a few little shops. There is a hike up to Moon Hill which is awesome and not very far.

Waking up and opening the window to a lush green landscape was so relaxing and refreshing. The front desk offers electric bike rentals that are in excellent condition with plenty of battery life, and at a great price. The service was thoughtful and attentive, making getting around incredibly easy. The value for money is unbeatable; choosing this place for your trip to Yangshuo is definitely the right call!

The hotel is conveniently located right by the Shui'erdi pier, a popular spot for bamboo raft excursions, and you can even see the pier from your room. The mountain view rooms offer beautiful scenery, including a lovely lotus pond. There's a swimming pool right in front of the hotel, perfect for kids. Parking is easy as the hotel provides its own spaces. The rooms themselves are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and the rice noodles are especially delicious.

Traveling with my little one, we were so lucky to stay at this B&B—I absolutely have to give it a huge thumbs-up!
First off, the environment is absolutely stunning. As soon as we walked in, we were captivated by the courtyard. The flowers and plants are meticulously trimmed yet maintain a natural, wild charm. After the rain, the air was incredibly fresh, like it had been washed clean. Sitting in the yard with a cup of tea, time just seemed to slow down. The rooms also have a lovely natural wood style, cozy yet sophisticated, exactly like the pictures.
Then there's the cleanliness – as a germaphobe, I was thoroughly impressed. The room was spotless, the floors were so clean you could walk barefoot, the bedding smelled of sunshine, and the bathroom was free of any water stains or odors. Traveling with a baby, I'm extra sensitive to cleanliness, and this place put my mind completely at ease.
Most importantly, the family-friendly service is incredibly thoughtful! The owner clearly understands what kids need. They had already prepared children's toothbrushes and slippers for us in advance, and even thoughtfully provided a bed rail, which made us feel much more secure at night. The common area had picture books and building blocks, and my baby had a blast, too busy playing to fuss. They even prepared soft, sticky porridge and small steamed buns specifically for my child's breakfast.

We were seeking a peaceful getaway from the city for a few days in the mountains of Yangshuo, and this place really lived up to its name!
The view from our balcony was spectacular, no photo can really capture how the lush green mountains rise up all around you!
Our room was so clean and open and spacious, with lots of drawers and cabinets and places to hang your things. The bed linens were silky soft and comfortable, and the towels are nice, too.
Our room was really so comfortable, that when it was raining we just lazed about in our room, napping on the daybed, watching movies on the big TV, or reading in the bath.
Speaking of the bath, honestly the most epic view from a tub that I have ever experienced!
When it was too hot and humid in the day, we lounged in the crystal blue pool- what a treat to swim in the cool water with the mountains all around you!
When we felt like exploring beyond the village, we were able to rent e-bikes right there for a great price, it was so convenient.
They have a buffet Chinese breakfast in the morning, and the Guilin rice noodle was delish and so authentic. We also loved the homemade soymilk, it was so good, even my husband who doesn't really like soymilk kept drinking it!
We enjoyed the modern zen feel of the hotel, its very calming with water features, and little garden features everywhere.
Most of all, the location of the hotel is really special, you are in the back of an old traditional village, making it sooooo quiet, so peaceful. No noisy tourists to be seen anywhere!!! The staff was friendly and chill and helpful.
But, when we wanted to go out for a treat, we would just walk a few steps into the center of the village where there are some really lovely coffee shops in ancient garden courtyards, and we would eat at one of our favorite restaurants, the Secret Garden Cafe, which has yummy Chinese and Western food.
We can't wait to come back and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a restful escape from the hustle and bustle.

Guest UserTraveling with my family and kids to Yangshuo, I'm so glad we picked Yushan Countryside Inn! Its location right next to the Jima Pier on the Yulong River is perfect – step outside and you're surrounded by mountains and water. From our window, all we could see were lush green hills, the scenery was absolutely stunning. The inn itself has an elegant atmosphere, and there's even a piano which my child loved. The owner and staff are incredibly warm and attentive, and our room was spotless and comfortable, offering a peaceful stay. It's also super convenient for exploring the area. For a family trip, the value for money is exceptional. Staying here in Yangshuo was so relaxing, we'll definitely choose it again next time!

A special highlight was the rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking panoramic views of West Street. We were also pleasantly surprised when the bar staff offered us complimentary drinks. Highly recommended!

AinoorI chose to stay at Yangshuo Mountain Retreat largely because of the owner, Little Fish. What stood out to me before booking was how she takes the time to personally respond to every single review. That level of care and pride in the property really came through—and it is fully reflected in the guest experience.
I stayed in Room 207, which offered a perfect vantage point of the Yulong River. I spent hours on the balcony simply watching bamboo rafts drift past against the dramatic karst mountains—it was incredibly peaceful and almost meditative.
The retreat itself feels authentic and deeply rooted in the local community. It is entirely run by people from nearby villages, with over 90% of the team being women. Much of the food is sourced directly from the families of the staff who have farms, which makes the entire experience feel personal and sustainable.
What impressed me further was hearing from local Didi drivers, who also spoke very highly of the resort. They shared that many of the staff have been there for years, a testament to how well the owner treats her team. It’s clear that Little Fish sees them as family—taking them on holidays and ensuring they are well looked after. That kind of culture is rare and truly shows in the warmth of the service.
With only 34 rooms, the property feels wonderfully intimate and quiet—ideal if you’re looking to disconnect. The setting is nothing short of spectacular, with uninterrupted views of one of the most beautiful stretches of the Yulong River.
The food also deserves special mention. Both the Chinese and Western options were excellent, and we ended up having all our meals at the hotel. Portions were generous, and when we couldn’t finish the famous Bamboo Chicken, the staff kindly offered to keep it for our next meal—a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects their hospitality.
Overall, this is far more than just a place to stay. It’s an experience built on genuine care, community, and natural beauty. I would return without hesitation
