3-Star Hotels in Hamburg

The hotel felt very secure. The lobby doors close at 11 PM, and you need your room key to get in. It's quite close to the U1 subway line, and the U3/U1 lines share the same station, though the exits are a bit far apart. The hotel service was excellent, the bedding was very comfortable, and the room had plenty of space. There were also utensils and a stove for cooking. The air conditioning wasn't very cold in the summer, which I've also experienced in other parts of Germany; it felt more like a fan.

The location of the room is good, but the price/performance ratio is very low. I arrived at about 11 o'clock when I checked in. I saw that the counters next to me were all checking in guests. A guy here who looked like he was Arab didn't even look at the room I booked and said that I could only check in at 3 o'clock. My mother and I had to change clothes, wash and put on makeup in the lobby bathroom. After finishing all this, it was almost 12 o'clock. I went to another old man who had been checking in to inquire. He checked me in directly, and my heart was filled with 10,000 thoughts. The old man was very patient, but the speed was too slow. It almost took more than half an hour for each guest to check in, and in the end, more than 6 euros of tax were charged. I don’t know why, but a young man came to check out. It's strange that I paid additional tax and it was refunded directly to me. All in all, I feel that the service in this hotel is messy and not very professional. The room is also very small, the facilities are average, and the price/performance ratio is very low. I will not choose it again😵💫

比較乾淨整潔的德式酒店，床太軟

We booked the deluxe room and it was like in the pictures, as advertised. The room was clean and quiet, and we found a friendly front desk. We were also satisfied by the breakfast buffet. The private bathroom in the room was really small. Considering that this is a hostel, I was happy about having our own. It was a very good deal for a one-night stay in Hamburg. We enjoyed staying very close to the main train station. It is right behind.

Сам отель удивил спокойным чистым но ером в дополнительно зданни с балконом во внутренний двор, но в номере нет ни холодильника ни столовых принадлежностей. Есть халаты и тапочки. В общем можно рекомендовать если район устраивает (15 минут пешком до главного ЖД вокзала).

ood location near to Hamburg main station. Check in was slow as there was only one old senior lady at the counter who kept talking to the guests in front of me and told me 5 times “just a moment…” The she left at 3pm and change shift to a young man who was much more efficient and friendly. My room was dark and smell funny but the bathroom is clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast was same every day. Restaurant staffs are nice. Would recommend only if you need to be near the train station.

Hotel Hesse in Hamburg is set in a relatively quiet part of the city, which made it a comfortable base to return to after a day out. It’s not particularly central, but getting around wasn’t difficult, and the surrounding area had a calm, local feel to it. Inside, the room was functional and clean enough for a short stay. Nothing especially memorable, but everything worked as expected. It had that slightly dated charm you sometimes find in smaller city hotels, where comfort is there, just without any modern flair. What stood out most was how uncomplicated the whole stay felt. Check-in, check-out, coming and going—everything was easy and without fuss. It’s the kind of place you choose when you just need somewhere to rest, rather than somewhere to experience. Overall, Hotel Hesse was a practical and no-frills option in Hamburg. It may not leave a lasting impression, but it quietly does the job if you’re looking for a simple place to stay.

Important advice for Ctrip: After placing my reservation, Ctrip informed me that this hotel doesn't have a front desk and that I needed to contact the hotel to check in. Actually, this hotel does have a front desk! It's just around the corner and 30 meters away at the Graffiti Mother Hotel. I suggest Ctrip correct this information when confirming my reservation! Otherwise, I won't be able to contact the hotel directly to inquire.

The location is easy to find! There are many small supermarkets around, making shopping convenient! The internal floors are more complicated. The elevator is on the second floor, so you need to drag your luggage up a flight of stairs!
