Hotels near Drottningholms Slottsteater in Stockholm

We were made to feel VIP from check-in to check-out. The personnel always saw to it that we had what we needed greeting us everywhere (in chorus at breakfast) and giving personal service. They seem to be very proud to be working at Hesselby Slott. We stayed in the South Wing of the castle overlooking the castle grounds. The room was warmly furnished and with a high bed making one feel like sleeping in the royal chambers. We were provided bathrobes and slippers and abundant quantity of personal sized luxury toiletries. Free coffee and tea in both the Castle and in the Orangerie with very nice ambiance. You can choose to sit in the library or other rooms in the castle. Live candles in all public areas. Music played everywhere in the public rooms and on the grounds, even in the parking area. This big establishment felt warmer and more cosy than a cute little cottage. There is a special room in the castle where you can see all the winners of the Polar Music Prize since 1992. In another building, the ”Orangerie” you find the reception, conference rooms , billiards, bar, a music lounge with two karaoke rooms as well as the restaurant where we had breakfast. A lot of thought was placed in furnishing the whole Orangerie and it was also very warm and cosy with live candles. The breakfast was a lot with both warm and cold luxury food. It was also very safely arranged during the Covid times. Food taking areas were spread out and serving spoons were not provided, instead you use a new one everytime. Even if in the early morning breakfast we were only a few, we felt that the hotel did not lower their usual standard and assortment. The chef was very amiable. Parking is free although it is a walk of 200-300m as you need to go over the castle grounds and gardens. We were allowed to drive in to the castle near our room to load and unload. We usually work Friday afternoons in hotels (after check-in) . Wifi was very good. We ended our stay with a walk in the large castle grounds giving us the needed exercise after a week of work from home. This was an excellent stay and we did not need to pay much. We would absolutely like to come back!

First impression - when we got into the apartment we booked we were shocked to see it was much, much smaller than presented in the pictures - see attached presentation pics vs reality. We immediately went to the reception to show them the obvious difference, when one of the front desk officers, named Joel was quite deffensive and strongly rejected my entitled claim to get the proper apartment as per my booking. He said the pics in the presentation were made with wide angles, therefore we need to accept this is the correct room, no mistake was dine. I insisted upon the obvious but I had no one to talk to in order to fix my problem. Later on I made the same complaint to Trip.com - they tried to reason with Joel, but got the same nagative attitude. Joel saga doesn't end here, unfortunatelly... The whole administration of the building might be a bit control freak. Why? Because Guests can not have full control of their room. You can not adjust the air conditioning yourself - you have to call the reception to adjust the room temperature for you. You can not open any window - you have to ask the reception for the window handle, which guess what? It's only one window handle for all of the rooms in the building and each room gets the handle for 1 hour max or at least so it should be if Joel doesn't have other opinion about it. One evening, upon request, Joel gave me the handle and told me to open the windows quickly and give it back to him fast as others needs it now too. I was shocked of course. ***??? Where is my hour? How am I supposed to close the windows then after? Oh...I have to get downstairs to the reception and get it back so that I vould close my windows. BUT wait!! Joel remembered to fully read the post it his colleague gave him before coming upstairs to my room and saw my room number was last on the list and therefore I can keep the handle for a longer period time. He was doing me a big favor. That was his attitude like. Very unprofessional, cold and really wrong attitude for someone working in hospitality. I am afraid I had to react this time and asked him what is his problem really, as it looks like it has a particular problem with me and therefore to any of my requests to get the proper service and comfort I payed for. Joel's Lady colleague was much nicer and helpful. He should follow her example if he wants to stay in hospitality. I left with a bitter taste and very dissapointed with the whole experience at Biz Apartment Bromma due to this important details of my accomodation there. The Biz Apartment concept is pretty nice though overall, is quite new, the location is indeed a bit far from the city, but within easy reach by metro, which has the station right in front of the building. You need to change at Alvik for the green line towards city center. It is also easy to reach from Arlanda Airport by train up to Solna station and than by metro. Downstairs there is a huge supermarket where you can get anything you need for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The apartment is equiped with everything essential to prepare some meals ( microwave, electric stove, dishwasher, toaster, etc.) The bed was very comfortable. A bit too cold in the room. If I were to get the more spatious apartment as per my booking pics, my own window handle and proper room temperature I would book this place again, no doubt.

The hotel was booked because it was close to a friend's house. After checking in, I found that this hotel was very popular. The breakfast was good. It was very convenient to take the Green Line subway into the city.

Hotel overall is good, but the location is relatively biased, the subway station also needs to go a long way out, the hotel's decoration and facilities are worthy of this price, the price is OK, but far from the city center location, the subway needs to sit for half an hour

Great hotel with spacious rooms with confy bed, just next to the Stockholmsmässan. The breakfast is magnificent and contains amongst others early morning orange juice shots with ginger and turmeric and the swedish meatballls. The train is very easy to take and is just nearby. If you don't have time to take the train, the area has nothing to offer. Restaurants nearby are very few, yet the hotel has a selection of good choices for food. I ordered a steak and it was delicious.

The room was very clean, small and comfortable, and there was a nice restaurant downstairs. The staff was very friendly. I arrived very late at 1am, and the front desk left me the key and access code.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and have a balcony with 2 chairs and a small table to put out. We had our room out behind and looked at the forest. The rooms out front cost more, since sea view. We were very satisfied with our room because it was very quiet. In front you can have a bad thing when, for example, companies are there, make meetings and then sit down at the bar in the evening. There you have the noise right in front of the room. If no one is sitting outside you can look great at the water and watch the riders at the entrance and out. But you can also go down just. 😊😊 Breakfast is taken in the great old villa. A very extensive and excellent breakfast. Eggs in various variants, fruit, vegetables, various yogurts, sauce, marmelade and much more. And especially fresh juices and my favorite the self-made crack bread 😍😍😍 Friendly service and careful. This is a great start in the day. From the hotel you are on the ferry in a few minutes below that you can use with the green SL card. Rent on all cases. Great stay. And yes, almost forgotten. In the lounge area there is free water, tea and coffee. There are also other things when you take them you need to enter the list. Very recommendable hotel. Thanks to again.

Reception check my booking wrong sometimes,I did pay online,they always say I didn’t pay,it’s reservation.untill I show my payment,then they said oh,yes,I can see you paid 😬that’s not good for customers.room not open windows,smell very bad when 6 people in the room 😬 I can’t get enough oxygen during sleep,then I can’t get up easily 😬

The location is perfect (nearby the train, bus terminal - but not loud), the rooms are minimalistic and comfortable - everything you need is there! The rooms are clean when you arrive. You can grab some breakfast at the barception (for 8 sek.). All in all a really great stay!

Nordic rooms are not big!
