The hotel is super conveniently located just outside the train station, on the right side of the north station square. There are restaurants and a supermarket nearby, as well as pick up spots for ride hailing right beside the hotel's entrance. The subway station is also just a minute's walk away. Apart from the friendly staff, our room was clean and had good facilities, including high speed wifi. The hotel even let us borrow a room to change into winter clothes before our train departure at night.

I recently stayed here again in October 2024, but my experience this time was different from my previous stay in January. Last time, I stayed with friends, and I was very impressed. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and came with a range of amenities, including a fridge, washing machine, dryer, hairdryer, and more. I rated it a perfect 10/10 then!
The hotel still has a great location near the train station, making it very convenient for getting around. However, on this visit, the room felt much older, with noticeable wear and tear, including dark stains on the floor and a bathroom that didn’t feel as clean as before. The decor seemed a bit outdated as well.
The service was still okay, and the staff did their best, even using Google Translate to communicate in English. Overall, while the convenience and amenities are still good, I was disappointed that the room's upkeep has declined.

The receptionists are very professional, polite and helpful. During our first day of check-in, they provided us the Suzhou travel guide, introduced us some local attraction spots and foods. And at our last day of stay, we missed our train to Hangzhou, the staff offered help to contact our booked hotel at Hangzhou (another homeinn branch) to check whether we can cancel one night stay at the hotel. Although the request didn’t succeed, the gesture and helpfulness of the staff make me feel warm and grateful.

Stayed for one night. The hotel is very close to Suzhou Railway Station, making it very convenient for travelers. The hotel is just north of Suzhou Station, and you can walk through the underground pass to get there. I had a windowless room, but with the high ceilings and light decor I barely noticed the lack of natural light.
The breakfast buffet was big and the selections changed a bit each day. There are several small convenience stores on the same block, plus a Luck in Coffee. One block over has a lot of small eateries that seemed to be open all night

Service staff was attentive to our requirement knew what we wanted. The room size was great with built in washer and dryer. The entire experience was unforgettable and worth talking about. First of all, the hotel name on the signboard is Elong, not Hanting. It was probably an acquisition from Hanting looking at the design. The hotel is located within a reasonable walking distance from Suzhou train station, about 1km away. If i do not carry heavy luggage and bagpack, i would consider to walk, but since i did, i decided to take the taxi and was cursed all the way from the train station to the hotel by the taxi driver. I told the lady who checked me in the ordeal and she listened attentively to my story and probably is the reason i was given free breakfast coupon. There is a welcome pack with snacks too. The room i got was quite a huge one on the ground floor, some parts of the flooring and cabinet were peeling already. Otherwise everything else is fine.

I really enjoyed my stay here! If you're interested in sight seeing in Suzhou, you can't beat the location. It's in a very beautiful area, right in the Gusu district. I think it's very conveniently located if you're interested in seeing a lot of the historical parts of Suzhou. It's within walking distance to Humble Administrator's garden, Beisita temple, and Suzhou museum (protip: tickets to Suzhou museum are free, but you need to book at least a few weeks in advance). Also within walking distance to the Beisita railway station if you want to go to other places in Suzhou. Also right across the street is an excellent noodle restaurant! Hotel was clean, rooms were pretty comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There were even some items I forgot to bring from home that the front desk helped me find. Though, I would recommend learning some basic Chinese phrases, or maybe using a translator app if you don't know how to speak Chinese.

I had a pleasant stay at Mercure Hotel Shilu Shantang Street. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the highlights of my stay was the free laundry service provided, which added great convenience.
The overall environment of the hotel is clean, modern, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. While there were moments when the wait for the elevator was a bit longer than expected, it did not affect my enjoyment of the stay.

JJairoOur experience at this hotel could not have been better—it was truly beyond our expectations. The location is perfect, nestled in a historic house with sophisticated decor that exudes charm and elegance. The staff went above and beyond to please us, attending to every detail with care.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a delicious afternoon tea, featuring a homemade tiramisu that was absolutely delightful. The staff is well-prepared to receive foreign guests; Miss Yang, in particular, speaks excellent English and is very kind.
Overall, we strongly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and exceptional stay in Zhouzhuang.

The hotel operation management is very online, no wonder the business is so good on weekdays. The breakfast room is full, and I am a tourist who is super loving! ! ! I remember the first time I went to 12.13. At that time, the hotel seemed to have just opened and was adjusting some details. Later, I went with my girlfriends in a few days. I was very happy when I had breakfast. There were many types. The bread was freshly baked and delicious! ! All categories are very fresh. Later, I came with my boyfriend. It was very convenient to charge here. I came again yesterday and found that their front desk staff spoke very good English. The front desk lady who received me was also very good! ! I was particularly impressed because she wanted to register as a Marriott member, and she helped me a lot in the process, especially unexpectedly also sent me welcome fruit. There are tips next to the air conditioner, so that the air conditioner is very simple. I don't know how to open it for the first time. For this detail, I can feel the operator's intentions. CCameo19A beautiful hotel, modern and stylish with lovely gardens and surroundings, worthy of IG photos. The hotel gave me a free upgrade, an executive suite with a private garden!! I was so surprised with the garden, such a delightful space with seating. Bed was very comfortable, free mini bar on the first day, and a stylish bathroom with bath tub. Breakfast was sufficient. The front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful in booking my boat trip, also thanks to Peter who was very courteous. Location is excellent, metro is a few metres away, and there is a new shopping village with some lovely western restaurants plus lots of stylish bars. The gardens are also nearby. Highly recommend this hotel.

GGuest Userabsolutely beautiful scenery and view staying at this hotel ! the interior of the hotel and room looks more traditional and a tad bit old if those prefer modern hotels,, staff are very welcoming and helpful! but one thing to comment is the laundry service is not as efficient.. it took us 3 hours of waiting to complete our washing process 😔 but i won’t complain since the service was all free just keep in mind, the machine is constantly occupied by guests so be ready to wait for hours if you want to use it

LLaoDaWeiThis was my go to hotel in Suzhou for location and price. The room facilities are excellent - with a fully equipped kitchen. The rooms are not modern but have a dated charm - there is also a window in the bathroom and a bathtub for those that like a soak.
The breakfast is above average.
My one complaint AND IT'S A BIG ONE! In the executive studios the bathroom doors have been wedged open - this is clearly a privacy issue but also the kitchen is next to the bathroom. No-one wants to stare at a toilet while they are cooking lunch. What were the management thinking - ruining a perfectly good room! A couple of stars knocked off until that issue is sorted!
