This small hotel is located right within the Pingjiang Road scenic area. It's quite small with very few guests, so it's really quiet. However, the moment you step outside, you're in the bustling scenic area, which has a fantastic night view. You can even experience the beautiful tranquility of the street once all the crowds have dispersed. A heads-up: the hotel rooms lack USB charging ports, so remember to bring your own. The service is excellent; they'll even turn on the air conditioning in advance when they know you're arriving, ensuring you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. They also offer dining options and souvenirs, which is very convenient. Overall, it's a small place, but it perfectly encapsulates the charm and sophistication of Suzhou.

As an InterContinental hotel, Kimpton Bamboo Grove truly captures the elegant charm of Suzhou perfectly! Located in the heart of the old city, the hotel offers a serene escape while being right next to the UFun commercial area, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. It's also very easy to access major attractions. If you're driving, you can enjoy free parking at the mall; just remember to ask the front desk for a parking voucher, a thoughtful detail. The hotel's design cleverly blends with traditional Suzhou garden aesthetics, showcasing the charm of Gusu everywhere. In late autumn, the public areas are brimming with atmosphere, with lush greenery complementing pavilions, terraces, towers, and waterscape gardens. Every photo taken here is a picturesque, atmospheric shot, and every corner holds a subtle design surprise. We had a slight wait for our room during check-in, but after contacting our butler, Anbo, we were assigned a ground-floor courtyard room with its own private hollowed-out courtyard. Sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon, basking in the sun and admiring the intermingled red and yellow hues of autumn, was incredibly therapeutic and offered a rare tranquility that allowed us to completely unwind. During our stay, our butler also proactively asked if we needed more amenities, and the service was thoughtful and heartwarming. The room was also spotlessly clean. The hotel breakfast wasn't overly extensive, but the food was exquisite and delicious, and the freshly opened whole coconut was definitely a highlight for me – the experience far exceeded expectations. The hotel is also pet-friendly, and you can see many furry friends around. As a rare gem of a hotel in Gusu District, staying in such a delightful hotel truly doubles the happiness of the entire trip!

The room has a lovely garden-style design and is very clean. The lights and AC were on when we entered, making for a very pleasant check-in experience. The front desk service was excellent, they helped with luggage to the room, stored it for us, and even offered complimentary water. The hotel facilities are extensive and cater to many needs. The location is perfect, situated between Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street, which makes sightseeing and dining incredibly convenient! Highly recommend.

Nestled in the heart of a picturesque landmark, this guesthouse offers stunning views of Pingjiang Road at night. There's a cat café right across the street, which is a lovely touch. The breakfast spread is generous, and you can even do your laundry for free. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making this a fantastic choice for your stay.

The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from Pingjiang Road. After exploring Pingjiang Road, it's perfectly situated to visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum. The hotel has an antique charm, offering a quiet retreat in a bustling area. I was pleasantly surprised to find a direct dispenser for hot and cold drinking water in the room. Breakfast isn't a buffet; you choose your items the day before, but it's so delicious and generous that we only wished our stomachs were bigger! From the moment we checked in, every staff member was incredibly warm and welcoming. A special shout-out to Front Desk Agent Xiao Xu, who contacted us even before our arrival to give us directions and continued to check in on us until we checked out. She truly made this short trip perfect, and we're so grateful!

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket. 

My stay at the Qiyupai Air Courtyard Resort Hotel during my trip to Suzhou was absolutely fantastic! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to Shantang Street, and the subway is also very convenient. It's truly a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city. The high-altitude courtyard design is incredibly atmospheric, with a blend of Suzhou-style Zen and a dry landscape garden. Watching the sunset over the ancient city from the terrace in the evening, as the lights begin to glow, was incredibly soothing and therapeutic. The room came with its own private, constantly-heated hot spring bath, offering excellent privacy. Soaking in the hot spring while enjoying the evening breeze completely washed away all my travel fatigue. The attention to detail was exceptional – a giant projection screen and smart bathroom facilities were all available, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly. Breakfast was a semi-buffet featuring authentic Suzhou specialties, with freshly made pastries that tasted great. The serving hours were also very accommodating. The front desk service was thoughtful and attentive, and they even provided helpful tips for exploring the local area upon check-in. Overall, the hotel is clean and elegant, perfect for both couples on a romantic getaway or friends traveling together. Staying here in Suzhou is a sure bet, and I'll definitely choose it again next time!

Our stay was very satisfying. The location is super convenient, making it easy to get anywhere. We could even walk to the Humble Administrator's Garden, and the night views of the ancient buildings nearby were absolutely stunning! The room was clean, tidy, and well-laid out, especially the family room which was perfect for looking after the kids at night. The breakfast was delicious, and a special shoutout to the noodle chef who not only explained Suzhou-style noodles but also made the conversation enjoyable. The front desk service was also spot on; the staff were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic.

I highly recommend this hotel ❤️. It's right on the main street of Pingjiang Road, by the canal. It's not one of those tiny guesthouses; it seems to have nearly twenty rooms, and the decor and facilities are excellent. Most rooms are on the second floor, and downstairs, you're right amidst all sorts of food and shops, which is incredibly convenient. During the day, Pingjiang Road is bustling with people, but the windows have two layers, providing good sound insulation. By about 10:30 PM, the streets quiet down, so you can go downstairs and stroll around leisurely. At night, the streets are mostly empty, making the rooms very quiet. The rooms are clean, tidy, and quite spacious. The staff are also very warm and attentive. The parking lot is right across the street, just over a small bridge. It's also very close to nearby attractions from the hotel.

Haha, I found a bargain. The check-in experience was great! The front desk staff is warm and thoughtful, the room is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, the breakfast is rich in variety, and the location is very convenient. Highly recommended!
