The room was nice. The location is a bit isolated, but there's a tram station just outside the building, so it wasn't a problem.
The only real issue is that the rooms aren't exactly what's shown in the photos or described in the listing. I booked the Queen Business Room and got a regular room instead. When I asked about it, I was told that the pictures are ”for reference only” and that the listed amenities are just what you might get - assigned randomly - not what's actually guaranteed to be in your room.
So my advice: book the basic room only. The premium rooms are exactly the same, just more expensive.

Guest UserThe air conditioning wasn't working, and the engineering department came to fix it after 10 PM. The air filter they removed was covered in dust, making the entire room dusty. From check-in until midnight, there were still guests making a lot of noise in nearby rooms, but the hotel did nothing to stop them. When I checked out, the front desk staff asked about my stay, and I gave them my feedback. Their attitude was good, and I originally thought I'd just let it go. However, what really pushed me over the edge was that I drank a few bottles of the hotel's water during my stay and took two unopened bottles of mineral water from the room. Today, when I wanted to drink one of those unopened bottles, I found large, unknown particles floating inside. I was absolutely disgusted.

This is an established five-star hotel, and its facilities are still very well-maintained. I particularly want to commend the service here; everyone from the front desk staff to the floor attendants made us feel right at home. What's more, the hotel has a strong environmental consciousness, which is evident from the portioning at the buffet to the toiletries in the rooms. This commitment to sustainability doesn't compromise guest satisfaction, which is truly commendable! 👍

I was in Foshan for a business trip this time. My first two nights at the Marriott in Shunde were excellent, so I wanted to try the Marriott in Qiandeng Lake for the next two nights, but unfortunately, it was fully booked. So I decided to try Courtyard by Marriott, a brand under the same group. I found that the room I booked at Courtyard was also fantastic, despite not having a bathtub, which it wasn't supposed to have anyway! I was very satisfied with the room the front desk lady arranged for me! I could see the brightly lit night market and clusters of illuminated buildings of Qiandeng Lake at night. The room itself was clean, tidy, bright, and spacious. The location is great too; it's just a short walk to explore Qiandeng Lake in the evening. The breakfast was also pretty good; the chef was creative, offering not only common Chinese and Western dishes but also traditional Foshan dim sum to try! A special, special thank you goes to Shirley at the front desk. Her service was not only warm and enthusiastic, but her genuine smile was also lovely. When I was working in the lobby lounge, she would also check in on me and offer assistance at appropriate times, making me feel incredibly at home! Highly recommend it!! Out of the three hotels I stayed in on this business trip, Shirley's service left the deepest impression!! I hope Courtyard can properly commend her, and I wish friends who read this review that they'll also encounter Shirley when they stay at Courtyard.

Guest UserExtremely satisfied with my stay! The lobby is grand and elegant, and the room is spacious and quiet, with a separate wet and dry bathroom equipped with a bathtub. Breakfast included authentic Shunde snacks. Special thanks to KIKI from the Magic Center for her thoughtful and courteous service. It was super convenient for getting around, dining, and entertainment. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shunde.

Guest UserHad a weekend getaway, unexpectedly coincided with a typhoon, but the hotel's location was excellent – convenient for nearby attractions. The breakfast spread was also generous. On the weekend, the first floor hosted many graduation parties, making it quite lively. The lobby bar was very inviting, even selling snacks like pineapple buns at affordable prices. The 1.7-meter deep swimming pool was a real highlight.

Guest UserSeriously blown away, it felt really good overall. Everything seemed pretty great, except for one small thing: the bathrobe wasn't replaced with a fresh one when the room was cleaned, even though I didn't use it, haha. But those are minor issues! I have to specifically mention that the room itself was excellent; the curtains were really blackout, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable to sleep on. Seriously great!

Guest UserI took my child out for Children's Day.
Facilities: To be honest, the play facilities are a bit old, but there are many food options inside, and the prices are cheaper than X-Long. We chose the stargazing room, and my child loved it, but I hope the cleanliness can be improved. Some hidden corners weren't cleaned properly, and there was a lot of dust in the room.
The hotel package included access to the amusement park, but many facilities required additional payment, which felt a bit like a rip-off. What I did enjoy was the swimming and hot springs. It feels like Changlu really wants to be a resort, but perhaps due to the current economic downturn, it hasn't been able to maintain itself well.
Overall, it was still an enjoyable trip. I hope Changlu improves!

It was okay. Price was still cheap, even during the holiday.
First thing, if you want to find a reception of the hotel, you go to the given location, then look at the building to your right with the KFC and on the second floor, you can find the office / reception. You can climb up the stairs from behind the building. The stairs from the pedestrian street, not from the road.
Then they will give you the location and the code of your room. The apartments are in the nearby buildings, 10 minutes walk from the reception. So the location of the hotel given here on trip.com is just the reception, the apartments are not exactly on the lake.
Apartment was really nice, everything was clean. The bathroom is huge, it has a nice big shower. Beds were wide and soft. Balcony is also nice.
You will have a problem if you are a light sleeper, since the main door of the apartment is not thick. There is a 1cm gap between the floor and the door, also on the sides. So all the noise in the hall is literally in your room.
During this holiday a lot of families with kids were staying in the same building, so noises and cooking smells were all around.
But I must say, inside the room everything was tidy and good.

A comfortable apartment in a pleasant area. It's not too busy, not too quiet in this area. There's a food market nearby and several bars within walking distance. For anyone who enjoys a night out, I would recommend checking ******* for offers and visiting Mengtian Livehouse nearby, but there are other places too.
