"This was my second stay at the Box Hill Hotel, and it definitely didn't disappoint. It's become my go-to spot whenever I'm in Shunde. NINA and ANNA at the front desk were as warm and polite as ever, making check-in a breeze and patiently answering all my questions. The breakfast quality was consistently good, with a full spread of congee, noodles, pastries, eggs, and fruit – perfect for fueling up before heading out to Fisherman's Wharf. My room was spotless, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a very restful sleep. The complimentary laundry and drying service was still incredibly practical, making it easy to keep my clothes fresh while traveling. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to find great food. Both my stays have been fantastic, with consistently attentive service and great value for money. I'll definitely be choosing this hotel again on my next trip to Shunde."

The garden design was so well-arranged and picturesque, even more so than the water towns. The swimming pool was crystal clear, and there was a charming, ancient-style boat on the small river. I also really enjoyed the indoor billiards table. But the most stunning part was the garden room – the bed faced directly onto the back garden. I slept with the curtains open at night, waking up to a breathtaking view of greenery, and then enjoyed a fantastic bath in the evening. The service was attentive, and the environment was absolutely beautiful. I've already recommended it to all my friends!"

"I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. I was a loyal customer, booking this hotel repeatedly for over a week until last night my experience was ruined by an absolutely incompetent, rude receptionist. I had ordered my takeaway, which is usually delivered by a robot with no problems. Last night (30/04/2026/-01/05/2026) I made my usual order. I suppose the courier delivered it near the parcel area instead of directly to the receptionist. I got the notification that my delivery arrived, I was waiting over an hour for the robot to deliver my food. Finally, I call reception with the hotel phone from my room, and this man with an attitude answers the phone telling me I need to come downstairs AT 1AM in my pyjamas to come and find the food. What are you talking about?? What am I paying for as a customer? Who do you think you are to make such demands? So I come down in my pyjamas at 1am, and this incompetent male receptionist does not even offer an apology for inconveniencing me and instead tells me to just go outside. I said go outside to where?? He then leads me to EXACTLY where the takeaway bag is. So he did know where it was, he was just too lazy to resolve the problem. He should have asked me which shop I ordered my food from, and he would have seen there is only one bag from 窑鸡王. Then you get up from your seat and stop scrolling on 微信 all night, and put that bag into the robot. A very simple problem to resolve. Instead you inconvenience the guest with no remorse, and act as if you are simply being paid to stare into space. I am SO angry, I will NEVER come back here again. I would have stayed for a couple of weeks but this incompetent male receptionist ruined it. Terrible terrible staff."

"I arrived after 10 PM, and all the staff had their heads down, seemingly busy, so no one greeted me. However, once I approached them and stated my request, check-in was very quick. The room facilities are quite old, and as soon as I entered, I could feel it was very damp, despite it being sunny the day before and after my stay. Outside the window was a huge fan-like device that, accompanied by the sound of a water pool, rumbled and splashed all night long. The best part was the restaurant on the second floor; it's not affiliated with Jincheng, but their dim sum was exceptionally delicious. I personally think it's even better than Tao Tao Ju."
