"While the room type was acceptable, the hotel is quite old with outdated facilities. The moment we entered, there was a strong musty smell from the carpet. The front desk staff had absolutely no concept of customer service; check-in was painfully slow, they were abrupt, and incredibly unwelcoming. In the middle of the night, I couldn't access the upper floors. The front desk attendant was practically asleep and completely dismissive when I sought assistance. They only provide one key card per room, even for double occupancy, and since a card is required to access the upper floors, this was extremely inconvenient. "It's been almost ten years since I last visited Taishan to see family, and I was really surprised by how much it's changed! The integrated shopping mall is excellent, with a great range of facilities and a diverse selection of stores. You can find everything from nail salons, hair and beauty treatments, to coffee shops and bubble tea, catering to all sorts of needs for those returning from abroad. The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful; they helped me with taxis, recommended great restaurants, and I loved the room they arranged for me. Highly, highly recommend!"

"I reserved the 2-bed Room and it looks like this building was built as an apartment. This unit was two levels, which they split the lower level as a hotel room and the upper level as a short term apartment rental. Fortunately it was not occupied. Could have been noisy. Noise from the hallway was already a little too much. One last complaint was the toilet being in the shower room. Very bad setup. However I might stay here again just for the breakfast. It was included in my room booking. Very good varieties and tasty! Front desk girl is very hard working and courteous. Thanks for your help!"
