"Clean and luxurious stay at this modern hotel. Like other reviews mentioned, there are some features that may be less than ideal (faucet fixed too near to bottom of sink making it hard to use, shower door unable to close fully and the bath area is open concept). Location is about 20mins away from where the other hotels are and where fireworks can be viewed. Overall a very nice hotel with impeccable service and touches (lovely yukata plus in-room toiletries/ amenities) but be mindful those as well as the modern design are what you are paying a premium for."

"The cabin completely exceeded expectations, and I must give it a good review. Photos can't capture the beauty of the cabin, and the facilities and equipment are all high-end standards. It can be seen that a lot of thought and expense was spent on the decoration.
This place meets all expectations for the forest cabin, and the view of Lake Toya outside the window is even more stunning. The view outside the bathroom is better than 90% of private baths. The surrounding scenery is also very beautiful. No need to edit the picture at all.
Full star recommendation.
I heard that the management is a couple who are a little older. I guess the operation is not good, otherwise it will definitely be a popular online store.
Unexpected gain.
ps: Daily necessities such as towels and toothbrushes are not particularly good, so it is best to bring your own if you have some requirements."

"The room on the first night was very good, and I didn't want to change rooms. But my order was for a four-person room for the second night (there were only two of us staying), so I had to check out first and then check in to another room. I communicated with the hotel customer service in English on Ctrip, and the response was very fast. But I was notified that I had to check out at 10 o'clock and check in to the new room at 4 pm. During the day, we went to Lake Toya and took a boat around the lake. There was an island in the lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, especially Mount Yotei, which was very beautiful. I also went to the Volcano Science Museum and watched the film commentary, which detailed the scenes before and after the two volcanic eruptions of Mount Usu in 1977 and 2000, the changes in the surface and the formation of hot springs (earphones were sent with Chinese explanations). It was 17:30 when I returned to the hotel, and I opened the email to check the new room number and door code. I was shocked after opening the door! The room is really big. There is a bedroom with two 1.5-meter beds (see Figure 2, we didn't use this room), and a room connected to the living room, which also has two 1.5-meter beds. Although the room is big, it is very warm and not cold at all, thanks to the powerful heater (see the last second picture). There are two large windows in the living room. In the morning, the sun shines directly on the bed and the dining table. Eating breakfast in the sun makes me feel sunny. The kitchen utensils are very new and more complete than the twin room last night. There are rice cookers and coffee machines. The dining table is very long and can accommodate 6 people. The smart toilet is also very warm. I really want to stay here and not leave. Before leaving, I would like to give the hotel three small suggestions: 1. The washbasin is low in height and needs to bend over to use it. The washbasin mirror is very mini and very high. When I stand on tiptoe when combing my hair, I can't see it (see Figure 8). 2. The bathroom is a bathtub. Can a shower base be added to the wall in front of the bathtub? Because we are all used to taking showers (see Figure 12). 3. The fully automatic washing machine is very good, but I couldn't find any detergent. I bought some detergent at 7-11 (see Figures 9 and 11) and washed a few pairs of fleece pants. The room temperature was high, and the clothes were all dry in the morning, which was great for us who still had to travel for more than ten days. When checking out, you can leave by flipping the sign on the door. With our luggage, we walked five minutes to the station and rushed to our next stop - Hakodate. Goodbye!"
"Great views. Facing the lake
Big huge bathroom w good views.
Spacious rooms.
Nice appointments in the room.
Has a Big pantry w coffee and tea for consumption.
But
MUST REMOVE SHOES upon entering the hotel.
Heel is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND NICE but almost zero service.
A bit far from town.
If you have a car, it’s ok."
"The hotel is mainly for hot springs♨️, there are no other facilities to speak of. The room settings are mainly traditional Japanese design, and the bathroom in the room is very small. The hotel lobby provides alcohol, food and snacks, which is considerate😘; the hotel staff are very friendly and assist guests👍🏻; you can walk to a convenience store in about 5 minutes from the hotel. The hotel is close to Lake Toya, and it is very leisurely to take a walk by the lake."
"Take a bus from the Donan bus stop at the right entrance of Toya JR Station for 15-20 minutes, get off at Toyako Onsen Station, and walk for 2-3 minutes to the hotel.
The facilities are relatively old, but the open-air hot spring on the first floor is pretty good (there are also indoor ones).
Remember to bring a bath towel from the room when you take a hot spring bath.
There is no mineral water, so you can drink directly from the tap in the room. There is a kettle and a refrigerator.
Most of the small restaurants on the street open at 11am and close at 7pm. Therefore, most restaurants are run by elderly people who prepare food and slowly serve tourists. Breakfast at the hotel is from 7:30am to 9am, and many hotels in Japan check out at 10am. The hot spring tax is 150 yen per person. If you want to go shopping after checking out of the hotel and leave in the afternoon, the hotel can store your belongings for free until 12am on the same day, and 500 yen per item will be charged for more than one minute. It is better to store your belongings at the nearby Toyako Onsen Station, which costs 300 yen until 9pm (you can put down a large box or two small boxes). If your box is full, you can also ask the staff at the bus station information office to pay for storage, and they also have umbrellas to lend to tourists for free. More warm than hotel service"
"Make an appointment with the hotel in advance. The hotel has a shuttle bus to and from the station. I called the hotel at the train station. They quickly sent staff to pick us up. At night, we were picked up to see the Toya Lake fireworks, which was very good. All the staff were very polite, we booked dinner and Japanese breakfast, very delicate and delicious. The hotel has shared space, you can sit down and enjoy drinks (wine/coffee/tea) while watching the lake, there are a variety of board games for borrowing, there is a game center with billiards. The room is large and very clean. There are small desserts and drinks in the room, and even coffee grinders and coffee beans can be washed by hand when relaxing. I like the private style in the room the most. In general, the overall feeling is very good. Have the opportunity to come again."
"One of the more affordable onsen hotel along the lake. Small on price but definitely did not compromise on comfort and quality. Dated building but the bed and room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast buffet was full of options and delicision
I stayed in a single room facing the mountain. Even though it was along the road, it was not noisy.
Simple onsen, perfect for the cold weather
Just outside the bus stop.
The free fireworks displayed right in front of the hotel.
One minus... Like many older onsen hotels in Japan, the carpets are dusty. It triggered my sneezing and I don't usually get allergic with dust!"

Great
GGuest UserA view like no other by the beautiful lake. From the greeting at the start, a welcome drink and snack, we were well looked after. The buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious with a wide variety. The chef rings a bell with every new serve! The nightly fireworks were stunning to view from the comfort of our hotel room. It was easy to access the rest of the lake area where we stayed. The second parking lot is easy to access with a shuttle bus. With yukata to wear and a lovely onsen space, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The only small thing was a tissue and tooth pick that had been missed that was under the bed but alerted the reception and they apologised and sent someone to clean it straight away. Highly recommend you enjoy the lake side views, the dragon footbath and hiring the swan motorised boat to enjoy the lake!
HHi there!Hotel room was spacious and comfortable. Staff who checked us in was friendly, patient and helpful! Awesome view from the hotel room! Buffet dinner and breakfast were superb! Can see Mt Yotei from the hotel and fireworks display at night was beautiful!
GGuest UserYes, I lived with my mother. It was very spacious and cleaned. We went to Hot Spring Street and there was no bus at night. We made an appointment with the boss and could pick us up at night. Next to the accommodation is the gate of the crater hiking route, and we also went to go. It is also very close to Lake Toya by bus, and a few stops are there, as if it costs 160 yen. The boss also gave a ticket to the Wanshige hot spring. It costs 500 yen for one person. The boss should know the people at the Wanshige Hotel. The people outside there cost 3,500 yen to soak. I feel that I have earned it. I have been soaking for two days. It’s great to soak in the lake on the terrace when it’s not dark. However, it should be noted that cash is collected, if the cash is not enough to go to the 711 on Hot Spring Street to withdraw money, the visa card can withdraw cash.
DDoeeeeWe checked in right away after 12pm. The boss was very nice👍
After we checked in, we had lunch at his store. It tasted good👌
There is a Sharp washer-dryer for free. Laundry detergent and softener are also provided.
The room is not soundproof. You can hear the conversation in the opposite room and the shower and hair drying downstairs.
However, there are soundproof earplugs in the room.
There are only two toilets and two bathrooms. It may be inconvenient if there are many people.
GGuest UserA nice hotel located by Lake Toya with a 10min walk from the bus terminal. The bus from JR Toya station to Toyako bus terminal cost 400 per pax with no luggage storage space on board. The staff are courteous and can converse in English. The room
Is clean and has a large window with Lake Toya view.
The public bath for male and for female is located at the top most area and the outdoor bath at one of them is open sky type.
The buffet spread at the level 2 restaurant is sumptuous with Japanese and western food. For leisure, one can rent the motorised ducky boat for a 20/30 min ride round the lake. But the key attraction is the nightly firework display at Lake Toya at 8.45pm to 9.05 pm. The boat firing off the fireworks starts from left and end on the right of the waterfront. Just find a spot anywhere along the lakefront walk and enjoy the show.
The hotel also has a bingo game session at 8pm nightly. Bingo! and you get to win a prize of Japanese snacks.
Overall a nice hotel to stay.
TTing YanThe room was clean and spacious,
Large enough to open 3 luggages,
And the view from the window was splendid.
The breakfast was average, not bad.
Onsen was nice too.
