Very nice hotel with fantastic staff. It's a modern hotel and sort of designed like a ship. It's located right on the waterfront - make sure you get one of the corner rooms that feesl like it juts out into the harbor and has great views of the water, the comings and goings of the ferries and the not-so-distant peaks. The rooms are somewhat on the smaller side but very nicely appointed and quiet. The breakfast spread is perfectly fine. But a special shoutout to the checkin staff - Johannes and Torkel - both of whom were courteous, friendly and really helpful.

We arrived at the hotel after a long day of travelling. Hotel Aurora is situated next to the water's edge and is within walking distance of everything that you'd need during your visit, including across the river to the Arctic Cathedral. The hotel was beautifully lit, very trendy and immaculately clean. Staff were extremely friendly and wlecoming on our arrival. We were given a room on the corner of the hotel with a balcony overlooking the harbour and mountains - It was an incredible sight, with the lights glistening off of the water. Our room was lovely and warm. It has a large, comfy bed, plenty of wardrobe space and a minifridge. The bathroom was fantastic, with great shower pressure. There was a brilliant selection of serve yourself buffet food, which was freshley topped up by the kitchen regularaily. This included soups, hot mains and breads. The hotel had tea, coffee and coco available to self serve 24-hours a day, and in the afternoons Fika was served to guests - The cakes/pasteries were always fresh and delicious. This was such addition to the day, finding a time and place to relax and talk. The hotel has a small gym and a large sauna. There is an outdoor hot tub which you had to pay extra for however, this was well worth the money due to the view of the mountains and harbour as you sat in the warm water mixed with the chill of the air. The staff, from the cleaning team to the kicthen team, were incredible. They always smiled and said hello and offered to help you with anything that you needed. One of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in - We will be returning very soon!

The best way to describe this hotel is average in every way. Everything in Tromso is ”central” - it's not a big place so that isn't really a selling point. The rooms are very small (even the ”deluxe” ones) and there are only two elevators for a pretty sizable 8 story hotel so get ready for the stairs. I paid extra to be on the 8th floor because I read the reviews about the nightclub underneath and boy they were right - I could hear thumping well into the night so bring your earplugs (the club appears to only be open Thursday - Saturday so if you're travelling outside of that, I'm sure it's more tolerable to try to sleep). Hindsight being 20/20, I would've paid $30-40 more to stay at one of the better rated hotels.

The hotel could not be in a better location for exploring Tromso and provides very good value. It was easy to travel to and from the airport (although we admittedly got a short taxi) and visit the sights (including getting a bus to the Arctic Cathedral). The room was small, but great value for what we had paid. We were mainly using it as a base in between trips and sightseeing, so it did the job nicely. We had twin beds, a desk and chair, an armchair and a long mirror. The bathroom was also very good - there was always hot water and the shower offered a good water pressure, making it easier to wash your hair after being caught in a snowstorm! The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of food, including my favourite - brown cheese. I would be happy to stay there again.

I feel lucky every day when I open the curtains. The snow-capped mountains are so beautiful. Make a cup of hot tea and sit quietly all afternoon. The hotel's breakfast is very rich and has many choices. The homemade bread is really delicious. There is a large floor-to-ceiling glass in the breakfast area. The breakfast is accompanied by the snow-capped mountains. It is so relaxing. I will definitely stay here again. (with pictures) The temperature indicators in the hotel lobby and elevator are really thoughtful👍🏻 If there is room for improvement, I hope the housekeeping staff can be more attentive. Overall, it is a good stay experience😍🙌🏻

We stayed here 2 nights August 2022. Arrived a little early but no problem as our room was ready. Clean room with great shower! Staff were very polite and helpful. Afternoon snack of cake was superb! 24 hour free tea and coffee available. Evening meal was excellent, buffet style with lots of bread/salad and one main meal , first night we had salmon which was delicious and plentiful second night was chicken. Breakfast was also excellent with lots to choose. Very central location. Will definitely return and would recommend highly if you’re visiting Tromso

Downtown, underground parking (charged but not expensive). Very convenient. There is a family room with kitchen. Suitable for children. We didn't have breakfast.

The place is really great, just at the centre of Tromsø, next to the beautiful port and the bus centre; the restaurants next to the hotel are amazing as well. My breakfast was included, and I really enjoyed the breakfast, lots of choice with great flavors! Strongly recommended!!!

It is a 3-star hotel located in the centre of Tromso and close to all the services/excursions that can be served. I traveled alone (without car) and have a standard double room. Of course, if we were two, it would have been a little tight, but in general, from the information I have acquired, it is the rule for these parts. The room has always been perfectly clean and breakfast is excellent, varied and abundant, better than in many other hotels, even with more stars, I have attended. Everyone speaks a great English so I have no communication problem. It is very advisable.
