We booked a 3-night stay here, and one of the main reasons was the indoor pool. Unfortunately this was out of service for the duration of our stay, something which might be worth mentioning on their website/beforehand (I was only told when I asked the receptionist after checking-in). The room itself was fine and a decent size (we almost had a little bit of view from the lake) except for the fact that it was uncomfortably warm and stuffy, especially at night. Even more surprising as it was pretty cool temperature wise when we were there. We tried opening the window but there wasn’t enough breeze and the mosquitos. The AC did not work seem to work, reception was notified and we were told a repairman would look at it. There seemed to be slight improvement in the second night but by the final night it seemed to have become as hot and as stuffy as the first (not sure how they would manage in the hot summer if it is like this in winter). Hopefully this will be addressed or it was only an issue with our room. The location is very good, next to a park and by the lake, less than a ten-minute walk from Hubin Middle Road subway station (take exit 2) or a short taxi drive to most places in town. You can also borrow umbrellas from the hotel, handy as it was raining for the majority of our staying. The hotel will also ask for a 1000 rmb deposit on arrival which should be returned to you after you check-out.

All I can say is this: next time I come to Xiamen, Jin Yan will be my first choice. If I meet relatives, friends or business guests, I strongly recommend choosing Jinyan. Because there is no way! There is really no way! On the last day of a trip, I thought I would make do with one night and take advantage of the free airport bus. I really didn’t expect it and I regret it! I regret not checking in earlier! I can't imagine any other hotel that can provide more perfect nanny-level services than Jin Yan! I must mention my thanks to Xiaolan, the butler whom the hotel ”rewarded” to me. She gave me extremely thoughtful, meticulous and even warm ”care” throughout my entire stay from check-in to check-out! I can't imagine that other hotels can be so generous in giving so many gifts and surprises to their guests. Looking back, I still wonder if this industry is too complicated and there must be such a big investment, but all the staff are so kind. Seeing a smile that comes from the heart and sincerely makes me feel that it is a sense of faith! That is a spirit! ”Legend has it” that Jin Yan will see many Xiamen Airlines stewardesses. Although I have some small expectations, I still know that I haven't seen many good-looking stewardesses in the past ten years. Who would have thought! The staff at various positions at Jin Yan are all handsome men and beauties! I must praise my strong willpower for not picking up the camera to secretly take pictures... The last thing that needs to be praised is Jin Yan’s breakfast. Even though it is rich in variety, the taste simply breaks my stereotype of Hujian Province’s food desert! The room was very clean and the view was pleasant! Every employee of the hotel is very polite and works very fast. Xiao Wang at the front desk was very warm, upgraded our room, and sent children toothbrushes and small slippers, very friendly. Three days in Xiamen, I was more picky, this one was really good. After leaving the room in the morning, I had to drive the car and left 🚄, forgot my luggage in the room, the front desk quickly gave me the room card, and finally caught up with the train. The hotel’s staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel manager,Vincent was patiently listened and solved our questions. My husband and I stayed at the seventh floor and they’ve provided afternoon tea for the executive floor members. The executive lounge was super clean,quiet and comfortable. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea. The hotel is in a very good location, right next to Bailuzhou Yuandang Lake. Opposite the hotel is Bailuzhou Park. The park environment is great and there is a light show at night. We stayed during the dragon boat festival and the hotel has a great location, close to the main attractions. The staff were veery friendly and even though they didn't speak English they went above and beyond what we hoped for. Eason (嘉平) was wonderful and helped us book a tour to see the haka houses, he is a great asset to the hotel. Thank you to everyone and if we come back we will definitely book here again.
