Swiss Chocolate by Fassbind Zurich Reviews

Very nice small hotel near you of town. Our room from the window has a view of the UBS Polybahn funicular train going up and down. We didn’t avail the breakfast but there is a complementary chocolate fondue at the lobby for all hotel guest. Room was quite small. The hotel reception lady was very kind and accommodating.

We stayed at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel by Fassbind from 5/21/25 - 5/24/25 (3 nights). We are a family of 3 adults and booked 1 room that has (3) twin beds. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was clean and surprisingly roomy. The only problem, there's no AC (Europe hotels for most part don't have air-conditioning). We opened the window and let cooler air to come in. I am sure it's a lot less comfortable in the summer due to the heat. The most enjoyable part were the staff at the front desk. Shout out to Yosie, Katia and Martina. These ladies were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The owner, Mr. Fassbind, should give these ladies a 8% raise. The price for the room was also "reasonable" for Zürich (~ $400/night). Being able to have 3 people in one room is a bonus. Most hotels will show "sold out" when trying to book 1 room for 3 people. I really had a very positive experience at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel in Zürich and can highly recommend it. I definitely would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Very very good place to stay if you need a comfortable business hotel. Very clean and the staff always pleasant helpful and tiredly. Also offers check out at 12pm. Breakfast spread was good with hard boiled eggs and a variety of cheese. It was 22CHF tho. But great location to zurich HB and distance to explore old town and the river. Great stay experience! Also cute chocolate fountain at the entrance lol

The late night check in was efficient and the front desk guy was very helpful.  The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. Our early check out was also helped by the same front desk person. Highly recommended for our very short stay and no doubt would suit a longer stay.

I can‘t accept the level of hygiene as it was 170€ per night. And please consider that checkin time is only from 3pm. Before that it is not possible…

It requires a short walk from the train station. The room is somewhat small, but it is located near the old town walking street.

Location is good near the Zurich station. Room abit small but ok for us. Counter staff are friendly. Old town of Zurich just behind the hotel. Cafe and Restaurant just around the hotel. Back on 2nd time for the stay. Will back n stay if I gg Zurich again.

The service and attitude of staff are outstanding. Fabulous eateries nearby and very convenient for travelers who aim to explore the old town area and explore outside Zurich via bus or train.

Good location that is near the railway station. The room is in reasonable size as it is near the city center. Breakfast is good with fresh bread, fruits, and coffee. The chocolate fountain for free treats at the reception is really an attraction. Service at the front desk is superb. Will come and book the hotel again in the future.

Good location and nice breakfast

The location was easy to find and access. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quite small for two adults carrying two large suitcases, and it was quite hard to fully open both in the room simultaneously. Overall, it was still great.

Terrible, I was downgraded, because my room category was overbooked. No financial compensation offered. Chocolate fountain was also broken. Not recommended!!!

Location is convenient. Clean. Breakfast is included. Not much choice but acceptable
