The service was really good, I checked in really late around 11pm but the staff on front desk was still friendly & helpful. When asked about my room preference, I had initially booked the most basic room with double bed. He said if it was ok to put me in a quiet room non smoking, & I asked if it was possible to put me in a room where I could see the apron / runway. He said yes & I was upgraded to a massive suite with twin beds. I asked to borrow a travel adapter & he told me just to call the operator for one. My phone was low on battery & I waited for about over 20 minutes after I called. Then I realised why it took so long as I was greeted by the infamous service robot that delivered it to my door. The only let down with whole experience was 1) that the window was left open in my room 2) there was brown fluid in my toilet as seen in the photo 3) there was a questionable stain on my sofa. But overall, the rooms & public areas are nicely decorated.

Service: First and foremost, I have to commend their service – it was exceptional! They offered pick-up and drop-off, helped with our luggage, and even thoughtfully adjusted the oxygen machine and humidifier in the bedroom. When we left, they even gave us glucose water, so we didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all!
Ambiance: Both the lobby and the rooms feature wooden furniture, which is incredibly stylish and perfect for photos! My absolute favorite 💗 The bedding was also clean and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The scenery was even more incredible! The guesthouse is located right inside the Changping Valley scenic area! I loved gazing at Mount Siguniang (Four Girls Mountain) from the large windows, watching the sunrise and sunset – it was absolutely stunning. I also have to praise their food; it was truly delicious, not bland at all despite being at a high altitude. It was excellent in terms of color, aroma, and taste!

This stay was great! The hotel's design is simple and stylish, giving people a warm and comfortable feeling. The room is fully equipped, especially the bed is very comfortable. The front desk staff Gina is very thoughtful. When I left something in the room, she notified me to mail it as soon as possible. In addition, the hotel's breakfast is also very rich. In general, this is a trustworthy hotel, highly recommended!

Out of all the hotels I've stayed at, this one truly left a lasting impression. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation nearby, and it's close to both attractions and shopping malls. The room decor is cozy and exquisite, and the bathroom has a wet/dry separation with a rain shower – the attention to detail is superb. The hotel's service is absolutely outstanding; the staff were incredibly responsive to all my requests and thoughtfully provided recommendations for local food and sightseeing routes. The breakfast is also fantastic, a great mix of Chinese and Western options with a wide variety of choices. Plus, there's Haagen-Dazs ice cream and afternoon tea available during your stay. The value for money is exceptional, and I highly recommend it to everyone!
Hotel near Baoguo Temple Surrounding Area,Emeishan22.1% of visitors choose this area
GGuest User2026.02.12
Pros: The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly facing Mount Emei, and in the evening, we could seemingly hear the temple bells from Baoguo Temple. We chose to stay at Le Méridien after our hike, looking forward to some relaxation. The hotel is indeed quite large with beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was plentiful, featuring freshly prepared dishes, a welcome change from pre-made options. We stayed in a deluxe lake view room, offering both mountain and lake views, which was truly lovely. The soundproofing in the room was decent, and the bedding was comfortable.
Cons: 1. Initially, our two booked rooms were not in the same building. After inquiring at the front desk, they found a twin room in Building 2, allowing us to be in the same building. It makes you wonder why they were assigned that way in the first place. 2. The room's central air conditioning only provided heating. When we checked in, the room was exceptionally hot; even with the AC off, the temperature was around 27 degrees Celsius (likely due to the room facing west and getting direct sun). However, the housekeeping service was excellent – they promptly brought a portable air cooler, and their service was always timely, thorough, and enthusiastic. This was a stark contrast to the less attentive bellhop service in the lobby. 3. For such a large hotel, having only two elevators per building (Building 1 and 2) seems inadequate for a Le Méridien property. It also raises safety concerns, as there are no staff members at the elevator entrance. If you need to access rooms on other floors, you have to take the stairs (I used the emergency stairwell twice to retrieve something from a room on the 6th floor, a tip given to me by a housekeeper). 4. The large bathtub in the bathroom is genuinely enormous. I suspect anyone under 175cm might need to be careful not to drown! 5. The exterior windows of the scenic room looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I'll stop here for now. I'm writing so much because I actually quite like Le Méridien, and I hope to see improvements next time I visit.

I chose this hotel for a business trip again this year. The service attitude at the front desk was very good. Ms. Kaimi was as enthusiastic as ever. I arranged a satisfactory king-bed river-view room. When I woke up in the morning, the scenery was pleasant and I was in a good mood. The room is also clean and hygienic, the air-conditioning effect is good, the facilities and equipment are complete, and the surrounding facilities are also very complete. Convenient to travel, 20 minutes from the station, recommended to everyone.

I truly believe this is the best hotel in Dujiangyan! We had an amazing experience right from the start. Yao, Ya, and May handled our check-in and luggage with great care; they were incredibly professional and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The room was stunning, and the views were simply out of this world! I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Dujiangyan.

This hotel, nestled in the heart of the old town, offers a serene escape while still being close to the action. The decor is stylish and incredibly cozy, and the comfort level is top-notch. The butler service is exceptionally thoughtful; they communicated with us beforehand to confirm our check-in time and transportation, upgraded our room upon arrival, provided welcome fruits after check-in, and even personalized our breakfast time and arranged airport transfer. We truly felt right at home.

It was spacious enough for three people. As the weather was cold, we asked the front desk for an extra blanket, and it was delivered very quickly. They also provided an extra amenity kit and slippers, thank you.

The hotel is very centrally located, making it extremely convenient for exploring the city. The building and interiors are beautiful, with a stylish and well-thought-out design. While some areas feel slightly worn, everything is still in good condition and well maintained.
The service was excellent: all the staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was also very clean, which we really appreciated.
As a pleasant surprise, we were given a complimentary room upgrade to a very beautiful room, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would gladly stay here again.

Location
On a long street with many restaurants and shops along the street and a self service ATM 5 -10 min walk away, including a small market in the mornings. It is a residential area, so you will most likely be the only foreigner, but people are extremely friendly and helpful, albeit the stares. The entrance faced the main road and was well lit. There is a flight of stairs that you will need to go up to get to the hostel area. If you have not tried hot pot, I would def recommend going to the Haichiniu Xianxianqie Beef Self service Hot Pot place which is around 5 mins walk down the road.
Quite far from the centre of the city however it is extremely easy to get to. During the day, there is a close proximity to the underground around 10 min walk, and there is a bus that I took from the city centre to right outside the hostel door where the bus stop was. If you are going through the night/early morning, it is extremely easy to catch a taxi through apps and it is quite cheap (around 40- 70 yen) and the road is very well lit. I felt completely safe in the area.
Service
Chu, the hostel aunty is warm and helpful, and gives you a sense of being home away from home. This included being made some home made dumplings to celebrate Golden Week which tasted delicious! She gave recommendations on places to go and made sure that I kept safe when out. As another review said, it can be a bit difficult communicating if you don't know Chinese as no English at the hostel or around the area is spoken and it can get quite draining/ mentally challenging at times for us, however Chu still tried her best to communicate regardless and I really appreciated the effort. To get around this and to make your stay more enjoyable, I would be sure to have WeChat set up prior so you can use the chat translator and have your google translate app out ready. (N.B Make sure you are able to set up the account and get the WeChat validation/security text through your HOME sim/data roaming as opposed to attempting to set up your account on your E-sim which won't work).
Facilities
It is a hostel that provides what you need. The things that took my British head some time to get around was the shower situation and the bed; namely the shower as it was more typical of an advanced bidet than standard shower. However, it was kept exceptionally clean after my first day there and I did my part of keeping it clean by bleaching it down. The bed is quite sturdy, typical of Chinese beds, so I would recommend bringing a blanket or similar to lay on the mattress so you can get to sleep. There is an upstairs area where you can use the washing machine or wash your clothes by hand and an open area to hang dry your clothes. Make sure you have some cash ready to give to Chu to use the machine. There is a vending machine that you can buy snacks for using the your WeChat pay. There is a seating area at the top where you can sit down and eat, smoke and chat. Once you are used to the different products used (i.e remembering the slippers, using the shower etc.), it becomes second nature and a very comfortable stay (funny story: I was sitting on a desk chair outside my room and being use to the chairs in the UK being quite heavy, I swung myself around and ended up falling off the chair LOL!).
Cleanliness
Like I mentioned above, the hostel is kept exceptionally clean and I had no concerns around hygiene once I got used to the shower situation. The cleanliness is what I can say was a huge benefit to the hostel. Considering how large the place is and Chu is the sole host, it is kept evidently very clean and Chu will be sure to tell you to tidy up too lool. People in China are not a fan of strong smells/ fragranced things so you will not smell bleach or such products but after seeing a storage room, I can assure they are being used!
The photos in the other reviews capture it exactly so you will not be surprised when coming to the place.
VVanessa MatherGreat hotel with river view, lovely friendly staff in front desk, cleaning and kitchen. Great communication via WeChat concierge if needed translated to English.
Central to Bar/nightclub streets and about a 10 min walk to metro stations. Cheap Didi to most tourist attractions even in heavy traffic.
About 15 min walk to Taikoo Li area for western food options, and only 3 min walk to local convenience store for other necessities.
The bed was so comfy, the water was hot and the A/C worked a treat for cold nights. The breakfast was varied and we enjoyed the spicy sour noodles a few times which is included in the cost.
We enjoyed our 5 night stay here and would recommend it. It was slightly noisy on the riverside on the Friday night but we expected that being so close to the action- ear plugs came with the service.
The riverview and ambience were great overlooking the Anshun bridge at night.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is conveniently located near Wenshu Monastery, surrounded by numerous restaurants and shops, making it easy to dine and explore. The rooms are clean, tidy, and comfortable. The hotel staff are all very welcoming and hospitable, making guests feel safe and at ease while traveling. Room cleaning is thorough and meticulous; even in dorm rooms, beds are made daily. It's the best hotel to stay at when visiting Chengdu.
1170216****The Verato Hotel (Tianfu Square Chunxi Road Branch) is definitely worth booking without hesitation! The housekeeper was super thoughtful and even prepared a 'grab-and-go' breakfast for us. The laundry room has an all-in-one washer and dryer, complete with detergent, which is perfect for tackling dirty clothes while traveling. The gym is spacious and well-equipped, great for business travelers who want to squeeze in a workout. The breakfast restaurant offers fresh food, including hot dishes, porridge, fruit, and pastries, all tasting great. The robot delivery service for takeout is convenient and hassle-free. The front desk offers free luggage storage and document printing, which are incredibly useful. We even received coffee vouchers upon check-in. The location is excellent, close to shopping districts and the subway. Overall, it's pretty good!
IishayayI booked this guesthouse to give my kids more space. Overall, it was pretty good. The bedding was exceptionally clean and meticulous, making it comfortable to see and use! The staff were all very friendly and always willing to help and respond to our requests. Many thanks!
Now, for a few drawbacks:
1. First, it was hard to find because it's on the second floor of a large building with unclear signage.
2. The internal staircase is very narrow; we joked it was like climbing the Great Wall. My husband even fell down the stairs, so you really need to be careful!
3. The bathroom was very basic, and the sink area wasn't very clean.
4. They provided disposable towels, which I'm not used to using. They didn't feel like they cleaned effectively.
Overall, the guesthouse's location is excellent, the staff are great, and we slept comfortably! The cleanliness was acceptable.
GGuest UserThis place completely exceeded our expectations. The room was incredibly clean and beautifully designed, with a very cozy atmosphere that made us feel relaxed the moment we stepped in. The bed was extremely comfortable we slept so well every night.
The view was absolutely stunning. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery every morning was truly unforgettable and made the stay even more special.
The service was outstanding. The staff were super friendly, warm, and genuinely caring. They took excellent care of us and were always happy to help. They kindly recommended many delicious local restaurants and shared great tips on beautiful places to visit around Rilong, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable.
The location is also very convenient, staff always bring us to wherever we want to go . Overall, this was an amazing stay, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place in Rilong Town. Highly recommended we would definitely stay here again!
MM857232****I was traveling to Jiuzhaigou with some elderly relatives from out of town and was worried they might suffer from altitude sickness or feel unwell due to the dry climate, which would ruin their trip. So, I specifically booked a large double room and a deluxe triple room at the Vienna International Hotel, thinking the reasonable price and good environment would satisfy them. To my surprise, we had an unexpected treat! Xiao Ge at the front desk was so enthusiastic and thoughtful. Seeing that there were available rooms, she upgraded us to a deluxe family suite for free. The 1+1 suite was much more spacious with three larger, more comfortable beds, which made my elderly relatives very happy. In the morning, around 7:00 AM when it was still dark, I accidentally locked the bathroom door. The maintenance staff responded incredibly quickly and came up to open it for us in no time. After breakfast, there was a dedicated shuttle service to take guests to the park entrance. We only waited a short while before getting on the bus, and in just a few minutes, we were at the park entrance. It was even faster than my last stay at Bianbian Street! I really want to commend their thoughtful service.
MM473701****My first night in Chengdu was spent at this hotel, and I was very satisfied. The mattress was excellent, I could turn over without disturbing anyone. I've decided I'll definitely be back.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, making getting around very convenient. It's only a five-minute walk to the subway station, and being on the First Ring Road makes it easy to reach various attractions. The staff were all very warm and friendly, and their help was truly comforting and heartwarming in an unfamiliar city. The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly sufficient for my friend and me, and felt very secure. I'm especially grateful for the dining and travel tips the front desk provided; they really helped us avoid any bad experiences. I'll definitely be back!
