"I was expecting a dormitory type, but there were private rooms with locks, so I had my own private space as long as I didn't make too much noise. The shared bathrooms and toilets were sufficient in number. The common area had everything I needed, including a refrigerator, microwave, cups, and disposable cutlery. I heard they have locations in other cities too, so I'd definitely like to try them out again."

"The location is super convenient for city walks to Rainbow Street, the church, and supermarkets. The room was clean and tidy, perfect for cooking as it had basic supplies like oil and black pepper, plus a dishwasher. The front desk service was also very enthusiastic! Just remember that in Iceland, you need to bring your own toiletries and slippers, and there's no razor. Luckily, the supermarket is very close."

"This is a small hotel located outside the capital of Iceland. The only advantage is that there is a cheap pig supermarket next to the hotel. It is convenient for shopping and the room is small. It is not recommended. The sheets are not changed. Reykjavik should live in the city center, dining is convenient, Vietnam 🇻🇳 restaurants are many."

"For a country like Iceland where everything is incredibly expensive, this hotel is definitely a top choice! For me, it's great value for money 😁 Many people commented that the rooms are small, but the hotel's design is IKEA-inspired, meaning the room facilities are movable. Once you move things around, there's ample space. Even a 28-inch suitcase completely disappears from view after being opened 😁 I forgot to take a picture after I rearranged things. The hotel's location is super convenient, and there's parking right outside."

"The hotel's location is convenient with plenty of food options nearby. They offer triple rooms, but be aware that hotel facilities incur additional charges. Also, be careful when parking outside the hotel; if the front of your car is too close to the sidewalk, you risk getting a parking ticket."

"This room includes access to the hotel’s spa, so you can go for a soak anytime. The spa is quite interesting — it has both indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna. The whole area is very quiet and relaxing. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, and everything was clean and well maintained. Because of the heavy snow, I had no choice but to stay an extra night and added this room with spa package last minute(last room). When I stayed at the room earlier, I chose a cheaper rate without spa. but honestly it doesn’t matter — you can just add it when you arrive. It costs 3700 ISK per person per stay, and you can use the spa as much as you want. If you’re staying three nights, adding just 3700 ISK for unlimited access is actually a great deal and definitely worth trying. Location is more towards the other end of the main street so expect to walk like 20 minutes to the most interesting part of the city. Right opposite of the hotel is a place with different food stores, is a relatively cheaper (like 3500 isk per set) place to eat. There is a Thai food restaurant too (like 2600-3500 range ...but😅😅😅) Just note that you need to bring your own toothbrush, the soap shampoo is provided and slippers are only available in the spa room which has a bath tub and size a bit bigger."

"Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe. I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik. Tge front desk staff, he gave me suggestions and helped me book the show ticket. He gave me clear instructions and seeing my lost look , even gave me the hootel phone numbers to call him in case I run into trouble. But thanks to his clear guidance I managed to navigate well and had a great day out. This hotel is about 15 to 20mrs from city centre by walk. One day I forgot my gold chain in the room. But the housekeeping folks while cleaning did not even touch any valuable stuff that i left. It is really a very reliable and safe hotel. They have a restaurant that serves delicioys food. I ate their fish and chips and chicken salad. Both were great. The breakfast has a good spread. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The best part is still the excellent service from the staff. My trip got rebooked and i had multiple correspondence with the staff and they were always prompt and reassuring. The only downside of the whole stay was my room. I got a corner room which had a slanted corner shape, meaning a triangle cut off from a rectangle. Though nicely laid out, i felt claustrophobic as the room size was much smaller. That room is not ideal, especially if not solo."

"The staff of the Hostel are very responsible to solve problems for the guests. There are washing machines and dryers, and the charges are reasonable. ISK2000 is cheaper than some hostels, but the location is a bit far away from the city, and it may be inconvenient for those without a car. There is a very comfortable common area. There is also a hairdryer in the common area, so you don't have to worry about making noise to other guests at night."

"Super friendly staff, best location in town. Only negative thing I can say is, despite our rooms not being booked by anyone else prior and being ready for us, the hotel wanted to charge by the hour for early check in. If you have luggage with you, they'll also charge you to store that too if you are early to 2pm check in. As our flight arrived at 6AM it meant we had to haul our luggage around or pay the price which was inconvenient. Otherwise great spot, would return!"

"Conveniently located at the entrance to Reykjavik. Second-floor room with no elevator. The room was spacious and had a bathtub, making this the only place we stayed after seven nights in Iceland. Even luxury hotels didn't have bathtubs. My husband was delighted with his first bath after driving about 2,000 kilometers. The bathroom and washroom had poor drainage, so water overflowed from somewhere and flooded the entire place. The room wasn't particularly clean, but it's a good option as a hotel to stay before entering (or leaving) Reykjavik. There are restaurants nearby, like KFC and Sabue. There was no hair dryer in the room, but I think you could borrow one from the front desk if you needed one. We realized this in the morning and had to go down to the front desk to borrow one. Breakfast was minimal. No hot meals. Also, the serving area was small and crowded. Nothing particularly noteworthy, but overall it was an average hotel. By average, I don't mean badly; it wasn't the best, but it was passable. I hope this review is helpful."
