I advise you not to book a price that includes breakfast, because the breakfast is very sloppy and not worth it.
The hotel is a fully self-service ski apartment. You need to contact the front desk to get the room number and password, and use the password to enter and exit.
The overall health, hardware and environment are quite good.
The hotel is halfway up the mountain, and you can see the whole mountain through the window. It's not far from Akureyri's pedestrian street, and it takes 10 minutes to walk there. There seems to be a citizen hot spring bath next to the hotel, and there is a parking lot downstairs, which is quite convenient.
The room is average, the restaurant is good, the floor-to-ceiling windows, the volcanic Myvatn Lake outside the window is very beautiful, it is worth eating, drinking and dazed
Good when the aurora appear, they will call u and inform to catch the aurora . Early morning just walking distance to the 冰湖! the breakfast also variety of choice , got self made pancake
The cabin is an impressive stop during this trip around the island. I went to the Mihu Hot Spring first. It was absolutely niche and the facilities were very good. Because there were few people, it was very good. The cabin was very close. The front desk and the room were separated from the main road. It was very convenient to drive. Although the room is not big, it has floor heating. It is ice and snow outside, but the room is warm. Next to the front desk is the restaurant and cattle farm. Diners can watch the cows while eating, and the door of the cow shed also says welcome to visit. If you don’t dislike the taste, you can enter and get in touch with the cows. Dinner at the hotel, the taste is quite good, the ”Iceland borscht soup was rated as the best soup around the island. After dinner, we also drove to the nearby highlands to shoot the only aurora on this trip. The disadvantage of this hotel is that the room is not soundproof. But it is also a welcome and welcome flaw in the structure of the cabin that is returning to the real world.
Quite a novel experience staying in a capsule and loved the privacy and USB ports and universal socket. No snoring noises though the plastic doors create a din whenever someone slides it open and close. Not sure if the bathrooms were in use or barred from use but a few seem to be perpetually locked. Shower stall may be a little tight and no rack such that toiletries can only be placed outside the shower stall. Nice kitchen. All dishes to be washed and placed in dish washer for disinfection. Only grief was no hair dryer. ISK 1000 to rent a towel seemed exorbitant but not uncommon in Iceland.
If you chase the aurora, you can take it downstairs in the hotel. It is a little bit away from the city center and there is less light pollution, but it is only a few minutes away to drive to the check-in point, which is very convenient. Good service and hot food. Basically satisfied.
The hotel room is really a bit small, with three small beds. I almost fell off when I rolled over at night. I could only open one suitcase🧳, and I couldn't move when I opened the second one. The breakfast was simple eggs, beans, bacon🥓, juice, and bread. ,fruit. Hygienic and clean, the service desk is very friendly. The location is good. You can see the church when you go out. There are supermarkets, restaurants, and bars next to it. I was woken up by people singing outside the bar at night.

GGuest UserUpon arrival at the apartment, the reception is no longer staffed. On the door hangs a phone number where you can reach the apartment. The person on the other side of the phone first asks us why we do not use the code that we should have received by e-mail. Checked E-Mail Account - mentioned E-mail missing. According to the apartment, this would be sent two days in advance. Since we had not booked two days in advance - impossible.
So now checked in by phone, everything ok.
On to the first real point of criticism.
When opening the room door, a strong smell hits you, which tries to cover the bathroom smell - long airing with a wide open window creates some relief.
When checking the bed, one finds reddish, brownish stains on the bed cover - very unattractive.
We were accommodated in room 25. The location is unfortunately unfavorable. The room gets the full street noises.
Now to our biggest point of criticism: from about 00:30am until after 02:00am, an Asian tour group turned night into day! The hotel cannot be held responsible for human stupidity and antisocial behavior such as door slamming, loud talking and laughing in the corridors. Such behavior can unfortunately happen anytime and anywhere, but an entrance door that slams into the lock so loudly every single time that everyone in the hotel must hear it and you are always startled out of your sleep is simply unacceptable.
Last but not least, the tour group had finished their party - thank goodness, and you thought peace would turn in, the small refrigerator inside the room started up. Humming loudly, it wouldn't let you fall asleep for another perceived eternity.
All in all, this was unfortunately the worst and most nerve-wracking accommodation of our 15-day Iceland tour so far. We can not recommend this apartment, nor would we come back again.
AAnonymous UserTHIS IS OUR MOST AFFORDABLE LUXURY STAY IN ICELAND 😭💯😭💯😭💯
IT FELT SO LUXURY AND FOR THE PRICE I PAID I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT EVEN MORE ONCE I GOT THERE.
THE PRIVATE HOT TUB WAS A BLISS 😭 me and my friend had to skip common hot tub facilities that other accoms offered as it is either far from our room or it is open late in the evening meanwhile this one is private and u can use whenever except the jet has to be off after xx hour to not disturb the other rooms.
I just love how private your room can be and just the view of akureyri while it was still bright outside to how the lights from Akureyri just blast your view and overlooking the mountain.
Loved the dark rich interior vibe North Mountain View Suites is giving.
Everything is nice. The design is just chefs kiss—i felt so rich and expensive lol. There’s even netflix and youtube and big modern tv in the room, private tub which you must dip yourself!!!, bath robes, hanger, literally not just big fridge but also freezer?!?! and yes, the suites leave a mint chocolate, coke, sprite and spring water in the fridge pls have it!!! There’s even oven 😭😭 Yes, the room is complete and have everything. IT IS JUST SO PERFECT!!
If you love the mint choc (sirius brand), please drop by Bonus supermarket and you can get it for cheapest price (cheaper than Netto too!!!) oof yes we went to Netto and Bonus in Borgarnes all to hunt the exact mint choc bar 🤭
If you’re in Akureyri, please book this suites!!!!
Luxury suites but the price that I got just made it unbelievable 😭💯😭💯😭💯
TthewandercuratorLovely stay in a charming, 3-storey historic guesthouse that reflects the spirit of Husavik. Comfortable private rooms with in-room amenities like ear plugs, pitcher, hot water kettle+mugs, salt+pepper and little treats, sufficient renovated shared shower WCs, plus homely touches like a fridge for guest use, hot beverage counter and free hot coffee, fruits and biscuits in the morning. Friendly and meticulous host who strives to give a peaceful and memorable stay for all guests: we take off shoes at the main entrance to minimise noise and keep the floor clean, and bathmats were supplied to keep showers dry for the next guest use. Yes, the hot geothermal shower water has a sulphuric smell but it adds character to the stay! Tip: have lunch or dinner at Naustid, the seafood restaurant opposite, and check out the bubbling stream beside the house!
AAnichieThe rooms are small and exquisite, lake view rooms. You can see the beautiful morning glow in the morning, and the mood is great all day! The parking space is right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was very rich. Turn left and go to the business district.

HHei LamA great stay in the farm house. We stayed there for two nights. It was only 5km away from husavik where we joined the whale watching tour. We had our breakfast at 8am and managed to arrive the whale watching centre at 9:05am. The view from the farm house was really nice (the sea and the snow mountains). Staff was nice. We could use the kitchen for lunch and dinner. They’ve got utensils and pots and bowls. And microwave and oven. Basically everything you need. The dog was cute. We also joined an icelandic horse riding session there. It was amazing. The girl was friendly, experienced and helpful. Breakfast was simple and the croissant was delicious. Room was much better then we expected. More and less like a hotel room. We enjoyed staying there very much.
Tten tenWe recently had the pleasure of staying at K16 Apartment in the heart of Akureyri, and I was thoroughly impressed. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the city. The apartment itself was spacious and cozy, providing a welcoming atmosphere. I appreciated the well-equipped kitchenette, which had a complete set of cooking tools, making it easy to prepare meals during my stay. The check-in process was hassle-free, using a convenient PIN system. Overall, K16 Apartment offered a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Akureyri!

DDavid Leung 11stayed for two nights to experience the Myvatn deeply even though in winter season. Myvatn doesnt have supermarket but a convinence store connected to gas station, opening time is until 18:00-19:00pm, this hotel is quite convenient to it. Restaurant option are not many also in Myvatn.
Apart from this hotel area located right near many tourist attraction, many hotels were also located near Myvatn Vistor Center area, around 15mins by drive, but even less options there (plus no convinence store, expect from the hotel).
