Most of the existing reviews are quite accurate… this hotel is for a short stay, for sleeping only and nothing else.
The price is good but don’t expect too much for the 4-star rating. Amazing location. Not dirty but not the cleanest hotel ever. The staff are neutral. You can deposit the bags but in the bar (seemingly) without much supervision. If you are looking for a very comfortable and luxurious stay with your couple, i would pay more and go to other hotels. But, if you are not looking forward to spend much time in the hotel and experience the city to the fullest hours, this is quite a good choice.

Only stayed for 3 nights, very good for short trips! Were very understanding when my boyfriend appeared for a surprise visit, charged him for a night with no hassle. Very sweet staff!! Building is a bit old and can get a bit cold at night, but most buildings in Rome will be. About 5 minute walk from Roma Termini and a 30-40 minutes walk from most of the tourist spots. Definitely recommend :)

Average hotel, poorly maintained underground parking like the rest of the structure that needs maintenance, basic breakfast.
There is no fridge in the room nor temperature regulation, very worn bathroom to be completely overhauled, broken windows without locks

The hotel was very close to Termini station
Only take 20 mins to Vatican or 30 mins to airport
Very convenience.
Got a upgrade to a bigger room.
Room service was not bad.
The breakfast was okay , $10 Euro , but food was same everyday. So can try couple days.
Becoz it was May so there are still no A/C. But the room was windy and comfortable.

It was really convenient to walk around because it was located in a tourist area.
It was nice that shopping and sightseeing were all within walking distance.
I was also satisfied with the pretty breakfast view.
However, because it is located in the middle of the city, you can hear the sounds of cars, motorcycles, and people talking outside.
It is not suitable for those who want a quiet place to stay.

I often go to this facility because it is located in a good position from the Gemelli Polyclinic and then it is in a quiet and at the same time busy place given its services (gym, tennis, paddle and swimming pool) I recommend it

Fantastic hotel, with very kind and welcoming staff. The room was very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay there. Location is good, convenient walking distance to metro A. CChloeI like it very much!!!! so chill and comfortable campsite. Easy access, you just need to walk 2 mins to bus stop and you can take bus to the nearest metro station Eur Fermi to city. Very worth, as a traveller you can save so much of money!!! because this is more cheaper than other hostel. Very recommended!!

DdisasterEXEHotel Caravel is a few blocks away from Stazione Garbatella. The staff speak Spanish, English, and Italian (probably other languages as well). I had the pleasure to stay at Caravel for seven days with my father and they were very accommodating to his needs (such as keeping his laptop safe and providing him with an electric kettle for a night time cup of tea). They also have electric plug adaptors, and they offer third party laundry services. The hotel has accessible ramps, and the venue has a clothes store, bar, breakfast bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet is very varied with some food items made in-house.
I hope I get to stay with them next time I visit Rome. My favorite breakfast (which I had almost every day) is seen in this picture.

PPhillipsBenjaminWe stayed here for four nights in June of 2025. The location of the hotel is generally good for getting to some of the more noteworthy site (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.). There's a metro station around 8 minutes walk away, which opens up most of the rest of the city pretty well. We walked from here to the Vatican, which took around 35 minutes, but would be less than half that by cab. The surrounding area is great for clothing shops, but the food we found nearby was mostly so-so, and frequently over-priced tourist fare, though I'm sure if you walk a little farther from the hotel you can find some good options.
The room itself was booked for a family of four, and was comfortable. The bathroom and shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked just fine. Some of the sheets were not quite clean, but we just didn't use the one we found slightly dirty. The beds were comfortable and a good size. The room and hotel have little to no facilities, so you're really just paying for room and the location. The exterior entrance is not well marked, and we actually walked past it on the street several times. If you're thinking of booking here, I'd recommend just looking for the GAP store which is directly across the street, much easier to find.
Our interactions with the hotel staff were limited. We received a number of automated messages, some of which were contradictory, or had out of date information. After booking and paying for the room (a non-refundable booking) we were told there was an extra ”city tax” not included which would need to be paid before checking in which amounted to around an extra $90 or so, and the offered price of an airport transfer service went up as soon as we requested it (from 85 euros to 95). The hotel arranged the transfer service for us, but the driver left the airport before we could get out of the passport control due to another booking. The driver service showed up at the hotel at the time the flight was supposed to arrive, even though the flight was late, and you'd expect them to know that going through passport control takes easily an hour, so this seems to be quite poor planning on behalf of either the hotel or the service. We ended up taking a taxi from the airport which was also slightly over half the price of the transfer service, so I'd recommend skipping their service, it seems like a rip-off. Taxis from the airport to the city center seem to be subsidized by the government, and were a fixed price of 55 euros (for a normal size car big enough for 4 people) at the time we visited. The train from the airport is also not a bad idea if you're comfortable using the metro, as the train station is just 3-4 metro stops from the nearest metro station to the hotel (Spagna).
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but felt like we mostly paid for the location.

AAobfoodieWe got here at 11h and check is was only at 3pm ; without even asking they decided to upgrade our room so we would have 2 rooms as we were tra Eli g with our kids AND the upgraded room was ready immediately ! There is a lobby to check in but the hotel room was actually a few streets away. The bellman walked with us to our room and showed us where everything was super nicely.
- the mini fridge was stocked with Coca Cola, juice water beer and wine (2 of everything !) we were there 3 days and used everything. Surprisingly the extra charge was only 15 euro !
- great location about 50meters (exactly 80 seconde walk) from the trevi fountain.
- the street is really buisy with all the restaurants and merchants and shops but being on the 3rd floor we heard nothing and felt very safe. Would recommend 100% and would go back here if we came to Roma again.

WWILSON HO CHANG WOONFront Desk service is sub-par and lacking in general knowledge to guests. Examples.
1. Hop On Hop Off booking from front desk
Was told that pick-up and drop-off will be at Station A opposite the hotel. But end of the tour, we were dropped off at Station B and was told there's no bus going to Station A. We have to find our own way back due to unfriendly bus staff.
2. Restaurant Recommendation
Was given wrong direction by FO staff and have to walk back to hotel again to reconfirm direction.
3. Airport Transfer to FCO T3
Booked 1 day in advance thru FO, but this morning when we went down to FO for check-out, there's no record ? Even though we were given a print out booking form from FO yesterday.
Disappointed 1st hotel stay in ROME. However, hotel location is conveniently located near to Rome Termini.
