The place itself was good for the price. I had a private room and private bathroom, with a shared shower area just down the hall, at only 12 USD for one night. The self check-in was a bit confusing because there are apparently 3 adjacent or nearby places by the same name and I was in Bakuro 2, which meant the QR code I scanned on the door to check-in did not recognize my booking. I spoke to a staff member inside the bar who clarified this for me and I then was given the correct QR code for check-in. It seems Bakuro 1 and 2 are right next to each other, but their check-in systems are totally separate. To my pleasant surprise, my room was bigger than expected. The floor was cement, so quite cold in the winter, and the window even when closed was not sealed for insulation, so it allowed a lot of cold air inside despite using the warm air setting on the AC unit. The location allowed easy access to Shin-Imamiya station, but it was in a rougher neighborhood by Japanese standards. I saw many homeless people and people who were collapsed on the street either from alcohol or for other reasons in broad daylight the day I arrived, but I had an early flight out of Kansai so wanted to be close to the station and didn't feel unsafe walking outside at 6:00 am the morning of my departure.

📍 Excellent Location This hotel's location is an absolute paradise for foodies! It's right next to the famous Kuromon Market, so you can dive into delicious food as soon as you step out. Namba and Shinsaibashi shopping districts are also just about a ten-minute walk away. 🏠 Comfortable Stay While the rooms maintain the typical Japanese hotel standard of being compact and refined, they make excellent use of space, featuring a modern design and pristine cleanliness. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. The biggest surprise, though, is the value for money – finding a hotel of this quality at this price in a prime Osaka location is truly rare.

As most reviews mention, it's incredibly noisy at night due to the location. Even though the windows are quite soundproof, it's still very loud. However, the location truly is unbeatable. Dotonbori is right outside the door, and there's a drugstore and a 7-Eleven downstairs, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient.

We have 3 adults in a room and the room is smaller than expected. Had a hard time on where to put our luggages. The location is good, walking distance to Shin-Osaka Station. We explored the surrounding and found two supermarkets! There are only local in the supermarkets and no tourists except us which we really like it!

This newly opened hotel is very clean and the facilities are brand new. The breakfast is simple but sufficient. It's right next to a famous tourist spot, and located directly in a food street, which is super convenient. It's also very close to the subway station, about a 10-minute walk. There's a big supermarket just a 5-minute walk away. You can also get to Shin-Imamiya, for airport access, in about 10 minutes on foot.

The hotel is very clean. Even if you arrive late at night, you can self-check-in. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the subway station and very close to Osaka's city center shopping area, making it super convenient for getting around. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

This hotel is located in Yodoyabashi, just one subway stop away from Umeda, making it incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are excellent. The lobby on the 15th floor offers expansive views, almost like a sky garden. The room itself is a bit small, and there isn't enough space to fully open a suitcase.

Overall, my stay was incredibly satisfying. The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to get around and find places to eat, with plenty of amenities nearby. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was effective, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom facilities were complete, with a stable hot water supply, and the toiletries were of good quality. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, handling check-in and check-out efficiently, and promptly addressing any requests. The public areas were clean and bright, with a quiet and elegant atmosphere that made for a relaxing environment. The hotel offers great value for money, making it suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. The attention to detail truly stood out. MM8492****This hotel is the closest to Universal Studios, just a few minutes' walk to the ticket gates, and offers full views of Universal Studios from the rooms. It's incredibly convenient to get to: you can take the subway from the airport, transfer once, and the hotel is just tens of meters from the exit. For Japan, the rooms are quite spacious, and the bathroom is sparkling clean with a separate wet and dry area. The lobby is luxuriously decorated with some futuristic, high-tech elements. Right outside the hotel is the Universal Citywalk, packed with eateries and Universal-themed shops. The food on Citywalk is all pretty good; the Gekko-ryu takoyaki is better than the other place, and the fried wagyu was also delicious. The subway from the airport gets you right to the hotel's doorstep with just one transfer, making transportation extremely convenient.

MMaTheBreIn general, the hotel is absolutely ok. The price is affordable and the interior is new and wealthy. The location is recommendable with close public transport, a supermarket, convenience stores, and a coin laundry. The hotel has a shared room on the second floor with free coffee, tea, and water. Every day they have free beer happy hour from 6 to 7 including a DJ performance. I would not recommend it to families with children or to people who prefer a “standard” hotel. Usually, hotels in Japan are super child-friendly, but there are no products for children (toothbrushes, pyjamas, slippers, etc.). The breakfast is in our opinion not worth it. It is good in terms of taste, but they do not have a buffet. There are some different sandwiches you can choose 3 (this is limited and when I asked why the answer was: “If they do not limit I could eat 10”. They have no variation in the sandwiches so when you have breakfast there for a week you've eaten all at least once or twice. Here as well nothing for kids so I paid full price breakfast for my son and the only thing he got was some juice. For us, another no-go was the super loud music in the public area (there is the breakfast room). You can enjoy your morning coffee with electronic dance music. The hotel has no laundry, but they offer a service. You can bring your clothes no matter how many and get them back for 5000¥ cleaned and dry. The coin washer 2minutes away is 900¥ for 8kg in 1h. For younger people or for 1-2 nights absolutely ok. Breakfast better go out to one of the 1000 coffees and enjoy a wider choice.

GGuest UserDecent location, close to dotonbori but not stuck in the middle of it. Staff were friendly. Room was decent size, enough to store and open suitcases if needed. Room was clean except toilet seat had something sticky on it needed wiping off with soap. Bed was comfy. Door Locks were a bit awkward/noisy (tap with your hand, then with the card to unlock). Things like toothbrushes and Razer's etc were available in the lobby Konbinis close by, main Namba train station about 15 mins walk, otherwise closer station was about 5 minutes walk.

GGuest UserCompared to places back home, it's definitely on the smaller side, but for Japan, the size is actually quite acceptable. It wasn't as cramped or dated as I'd imagined. With the lights on, it felt quite cozy, and the window provided good natural light. My only minor gripes were the lack of complimentary water and that housekeeping only came every three days. On the plus side, there's a 7-Eleven nearby, which is super convenient, and it's also very close to Tenkachaya Station. The neighborhood is residential and felt very safe, completely unlike what some online comments suggest about the 'western district' being full of homeless people; even at 9 or 10 PM, there were no drunks or homeless individuals around. Luggage storage is under camera surveillance with no staff supervision, which initially made me a little worried, but my bags were perfectly safe after half a day. All in all, it's very affordable and offers excellent value for money. 🫶

GGuest UserI had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn Osaka Namba. The location is absolutely superb — just a few steps away from Dotonbori, making it incredibly convenient for food, shopping, and exploring the vibrant nightlife. The room size was a pleasant surprise, especially for Japan. We were able to fully open two large suitcases comfortably, which made a huge difference during our stay. The daily cleaning service was spectacular — everything was always spotless and well-organized when we returned each day. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities like complimentary water and coffee. A special mention goes to the lovely Dove shampoo, soap, conditioner, and lotion — such a nice touch that made the stay even more comfortable. Overall, an excellent choice in Osaka, and I would definitely stay here again!

JJudith AldIt’s a perfect option if your traveling solo, its accessible for the location and the installation and service is good. You need to be aware that you need to be quite in the bedroom area, every bed don’t have big walls to mute the silence, gladly I didn’t have any noisy neighbors on the women dorm so I slept well during my three nights there . Theres a common area for woman and other for everyone . The showers and toilets are shared but in good condition, they give you towels and sleep wear , the location is also good, near to Donbori and to the subway.

GGuest UserEverything was great, just one small thing: the room was really, really tiny. It was hard to open our luggage, especially since we had three bags. But it was very clean, and the staff were very helpful. Check-in and check-out were self-service, and there's a McDonald's right next door, which was very convenient.

AAnonymous UserThe room was quite spacious, as advertised online. However, the sofa by the window sill didn't appear very clean under the lighting. The hotel offers a public bath and is conveniently located near Universal Studios. It was promoted as being the closest to the subway station, and one of the slightly more distant options from Universal itself. But in practice, all the hotels in this area are just a short walk from one another. With restaurants, 7-Eleven, Lawson, and Starbucks nearby, it's very convenient. The best part about staying near Universal is being able to enjoy the park until its 10 PM closing time, then grab a late dinner nearby before heading back to the hotel to unwind.

VVinzy NgGood hotel with spa with mediocre services.  The room was neat, clean and feeling new.  However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings. Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day. Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.  Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time. The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner. The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful.

WWanpidoubaoThe hotel room is quite spacious for a Japanese hotel. It's also super convenient to get to from Kansai International Airport – just one stop to Rinku Town Station on either the JR or Nankai Line. From there, it's about a 3-minute walk to the hotel, and there are signs everywhere so you won't get lost. The front desk has a unique touch, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. Our room was spotless and tidy. As for breakfast, the dining area was absolutely lovely. Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.
