The carpet in the room was a bit dirty; I hope the hotel can replace it. The sponge cushion on the chair was also damaged by cigarette burns. On the plus side, it's still livable. It's 3km from the airport, and breakfast was decent. They offer luggage storage, so I bought disposable sheets and duvet covers for my trip. Overall, I'd give it an 85. We mostly took taxis because Jeju has a lot of hills, and walking is too tiring. We booked a one-day tour to Udo Island, and pickup/drop-off is available from this hotel. There's a convenience store downstairs. It's suitable for spontaneous travelers.

LOTTE CITY HOTEL JEJU AIRPORT

This is a standard city hotel, about a 10-minute drive from the airport. I tried to check in around 10 AM, and the front desk said if I was a Lotte member, I could check in immediately; otherwise, I'd have to wait until around 3 PM for the room to be ready. I signed up for membership, and they gave me a room facing the airport and the sea (the other side has a mountain view), which offered a fantastic view. I booked a family room with one single bed and one king bed, which was perfectly fine for two adults and two children. The hotel has an outdoor pool and laundry facilities, making it a good spot for a layover or quick stop. However, for a full vacation in Jeju, I'd still recommend Seogwipo. The hotel's podium building houses a Lotte Duty Free shop, which isn't very large. It's about a 10-minute walk to Baojian Road, making dining and shopping quite convenient. It's also about 2-3 blocks from Grand Hyatt, all on the same street.

The room floor was quite dirty and sticky to walk on. The bathroom mirror and crevices were also dirty. Everything had a charge, no complimentary water. The exterior environment was very nice, with large green spaces and woods. The pool was good, but it cost money to use, and parents with children had to be present and also pay. Even the lounge chairs had a fee, which was my biggest complaint. The location is excellent, right across from Shilla Duty Free, and there are many delicious restaurants and cosmetic shops nearby.

First, my initial thoughts: I was prepared for a 'prison-like' room before checking in, but staying here, I actually found the room small but cozy! Coupled with other advantages, the actual experience exceeded my expectations. Now, for the pros: 1. **Rich Community Facilities:** Besides the accommodation buildings, there's a standalone coffee shop, a standalone small bar (received a free beer voucher upon check-in), a GS25 convenience store (the female staff member was very friendly), a gift shop (at the front desk), and a breakfast/lunch restaurant (you can get a discount if you purchase breakfast at the front desk a day in advance). 2. **Excellent Location for Olle Trail 1:** It's very convenient for those doing Olle Trail Route 1. You can walk to Gwangchigi Beach, the starting point of Route 1, in about 10 minutes. 3. **Friendly Staff:** All the service staff were very friendly and could communicate well in English. 4. **Spacious Bathroom:** Although the room itself was small, the bathroom and shower area were quite spacious. 5. **Free Airport Shuttle:** This was an incredibly valuable service. I took the 10:30 AM shuttle to the airport. No reservation was needed, the bus arrived on time, and it took about an hour to reach the airport. Areas for improvement: 1. **Lack of Hooks in Room:** My room had no hooks, except for two small ones in the toilet. I suggest adding one more in the main room without taking up extra space (I saw some other smaller room types had them). 2. **Soap Dispenser Design:** The hand soap dispenser had a short pump, which was inconvenient to use when my hands were dirty. A longer nozzle would be much better. Overall, it was a very good stay. I would consider staying here again if I plan to do other Olle trails on the Seongsan side.

I checked into the hotel on a day affected by the outer bands of a typhoon. As soon as I entered the lobby, I was captivated by the enormous glass wall. The infinity pool downstairs seemed to stretch endlessly, almost connecting with the sea. My room faced the ocean and had a balcony, offering a perfect view of the churning typhoon waves. The soundproofing of the glass doors and windows was excellent; as soon as they were closed, the howling wind outside instantly disappeared. The staff were all very professional, and there were Chinese-speaking employees in various departments. The food and desserts at the restaurant and bakery were delicious. After 7 PM every night, the pastries at the patisserie would go on sale, with quality guaranteed. I also enjoyed walking along the seaside promenade outside the hotel. The path was well-paved and connected to other hotels. Overall, it’s a perfect place for a quiet and relaxing vacation.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center. There's a 7-Eleven on the second floor of the building, and a bus stop right outside. You can get here from the airport on bus 600 or 601, it's just one stop away. A 24-hour pork backbone soup restaurant and Olive Young are just a few steps downstairs, and a CU convenience store is across the street. The room is clean and comfortable, and you can see the sea from the window.

Jeju bus terminal stop-beware of the separate blue and green bus stop so you wont missed your bus. Naver map and Tmoney help your journey around Jeju. Mr. Peter, himself, messaged me first through trip.com about the time I will be there at their place, which I was hesitant to do that but luckily, he did and that was surprising. Also, he let me leave my luggage in advance. Staff speaks English well and hospitable. As soon as you check in, staff will provide the stuff you needed for your stay in the room plus the indoor slipper to switch with your outdoor shoes to be placed in the closet at the entrance. NO elevator but the girl staff offered to carry my luggage to the room. There is an area in the 2nd floor for dining—designated place to eat—with microwave, water dispenser, dishes and utensils, fridge and freezer, you can cook and wash your dishes. There is a small area designated for reading/relaxing in the 3rd floor, where the entrance to the rooftop(to watch Hallasan sunset and for 8pm projector movie night). 2nd floor for male guests while 3rd fl for females. Sleeping room(is really for sleeping, no room to stretch only in your bed—is very comfortable with one outlet and a lamp) is separate from the shower area with slippers(washbasin/sink and enclosed shower stalls-body wash & shampoo) from the toilet stalls and from the powder/mirror area with hairdryer. If you have a small to medium luggage, you can store it under the bunkbed. There are lockers in every room (a normal school backpack could fit). Walking distance to Yongduam Rock to Yeongyon Bridge to boardwalk for coastal walks—great cafes to watch waves & landing planes and local resto—to Jungang Shopping Street to Jungang Underground Mall to Dongmun Market. If you like mochi, next door of the Mir is delicious and affordable Jeju Mochi which is priced twice in the airport. Convenience stores (7-eleven next door), chicken&fries and local resto around the corner. Mr. Peter met him during the breakfast. He prepared the breakfast—egg sandwich which comes w/black coffee or orange juice. He is nice and approachable. The Mir Guesthouse’s is designed from the Yongduam Rock, it is cool, clean, and magnificent. Solo traveling is fun—meeting new faces, different nationalities, cultures, and witness the amazing nature’s wonder.

This place is honestly not as bad as the reviews make it seem. The room is your average Korean hostel room (no curtains tho). The bathroom is a bit messy but overall not dirty. The location is very convenient if you are planning to explore the island by bus. For the very little price paid, I would stay at this hostel again!

Absolutely fantastic! The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. It came fully equipped with pots, pans, and all the cooking utensils we needed, which was great – we even cooked ramen in the room, a really wonderful experience. There was a lovely painting in the hallway, I think it was introducing Jeju Island? And to my surprise, we could even watch Chinese historical dramas on TV, haha! The owner was incredibly friendly and explained all the room's features in Mandarin, which my mom could easily understand. We also got to try the owner's special banana milk, which instantly boosted our stay! Most importantly, there were huge floor-to-ceiling windows offering amazing ocean views. You truly get a superb experience even without leaving the room. Just outside the room, there's also an observation deck that's perfect for photos. Although it rained for the first two days of our trip to Jeju, we saw a beautiful sunset on the third evening, and the last day was completely clear and sunny, making for a rich experience overall. There's a McDonald's right next door (cash or card only) and a cafe with delicious coffee. Plenty of convenience stores and restaurants are within walking distance too. Getting to the city center is easy by taxi, or you can take a bus if you're not in a hurry – both are very convenient. Overall, it was absolutely wonderful! It's been a long time since I've had such an enjoyable trip, and I'm so grateful to the owner for providing such a fantastic place to stay.
