This guesthouse is exactly like the popular spot featured on the Lonely Planet cover, with stunning mountain and lake views all around! It's very convenient because you can cook your own meals here. It's only a 5-10 minute drive to the town, and parking is free.
This is a budget-friendly hotel. The rooms aren't very big, and the bathroom lacks ventilation and had a musty smell. There's a small terrace that can be opened, and the apartment's location is decent. The downstairs staff were so-so; they initially gave me the wrong room code.
Had the most amazing stay. The very kind service I received reception and I wish I knew his name as throughout my whole stay he was so amazing. From hotel to airport transfers, answered all of my questions.. he genuinely cares about his guests. I will definitely stay there again
We'd booked a room for 5 with an extra bed on ***********, but when we reached the hotel, the lady at check-in informed us that in the Scandic Narvik system it was only a room for 2 people, that there was no other space available, and that in future, we should book directly with the hotel in order to avoid this happening again. In the end, she was able to find us a room, but it was such a terrible way to start off what was otherwise a brilliant stay in beautiful Narvik.
The room was a bit small and facilities were just average. However, the hotel's location is excellent, right near the pier for easy access to sea activities, and a supermarket is also within walking distance. Free parking was limited. Breakfast offered a good variety. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly. What really stood out was their service even after check-out: when we returned from our sea excursion to use the restroom, the staff recognized us as previous guests and greeted us warmly. When I asked if I could get a coffee to go from the lobby bar, they immediately provided a cup. Highly recommend!
They went to this hotel on the road to Lofoten.
Hotel New (even not on google street maps at that time), parking near it is paid (as everywhere in the city).
The town is small and the hotel was unexpectedly good. A great restaurant with delicious breakfasts, a cozy room with a comfortable bed, a view.
Leknes is a transit point for Lofoten, connecting to Svolvær in the north and Reine in the south. The hotel is about a six-minute walk from the station, and there's a supermarket nearby. The room didn't have anything except bath towels and hand towels, as is typical of many hotels abroad. The breakfast was good. There wasn't a kettle in the room, but hot water was available at the front desk. The room was on the second floor, with no elevator. If you have large luggage, ask the front desk to arrange for a first-floor room.
The location was ok. A short walk away from main city area. Away from most tourist spots too.
Breakfast is provided.
But unfortunately the sky was cloudy and didn’t get to see the northern lights during my stay.
This hotel is small but well-equipped. I was just stopping by for a quick stop. It's very close to the port, and you can get there directly from the boat. The room is a bit small, but the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is varied and rich, and you'll feel very full if you eat everything. Transportation is also convenient, with the railway, bus, and port all nearby. The staff are very patient, smiling, and polite. I think it's a good choice for a short stay.
The hotel's location is excellent, the surroundings are beautiful, and the rooms are spacious. It offers great value for money. The breakfast selection is rich and delicious. Definitely worth staying.

TTravelifeJoThe hostel offers some conveniences but overall, I would rate it 3/5. Its location is a major advantage, with a shopping center and supermarket just a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to access essentials.
However, the experience was marred by several issues. The hostel was difficult to find due to the lack of clear signage, which was frustrating upon arrival. Additionally, the noise insulation was very poor—I could hear footsteps and movement from upstairs throughout the night, which severely impacted my sleep and caused insomnia.
While the hostel has potential, these issues need to be addressed to improve the overall experience. It’s a suitable choice for budget travelers prioritizing convenience, but light sleepers may want to consider other options.
MMintFantastic cultural heritage stay. The photos on their official booking page were very understated compared to reality. The reality is an epitome of modern amenities in a well conserved heritage stilt red fishery house which was a pleasant surprise.
The toilet is well renovated and unlike the official photos. They exceeded expectations as their photos did not make justice to the actual experience.

MMookyadaThe kitchenware is very old, only plates, no bowls. The bathroom is not separated into wet and dry areas. The staff provided good service and explained everything in detail.
NnordinyWe stayed at Skarungen in a small but comfortable room with a beautiful fjord view. The room was simple yet cosy, and waking up to the sight of the mountains and water felt very special.
Although we didn’t get to see the aurora during our visit, Skarungen’s peaceful setting by the fjord made it a relaxing and memorable stop in Lofoten.
GGuest User
CCN Man 420The strong water pressure and hot water in the shower was exactly what we needed after a long deove from Tromso. The bed was soft and room was big enough for us. Breakfast was beautiful, so nicely done. If you stay here, highly recommended you make breakfast.
