Overall, our stay was mostly good, although there were a few issues, especially at the beginning and with service.
On the first day, we were assigned a room with no natural daylight at all, only frosted glass windows. This clearly did not match the online listing, which advertised natural light and a partial city view. After raising the issue at the front desk, we were given a different room the following day, which was fine.
Service was inconsistent. On one occasion, housekeeping was completely forgotten. Only after a strong complaint at the front desk was the room eventually cleaned. Prior to that, we were told cleaning was no longer possible because all housekeeping staff had already left for the day, which was not acceptable.
The room itself was well laid out and functional, though not particularly modern.
The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from Grand Central Station, making it very convenient for getting around the city.
Considering we stayed over New Year’s, the price was reasonable, which is a definite plus.
Overall, despite the initial issues, solutions were ultimately found for all problems. For that reason, we would rate the hotel 4 out of 5 stars.
I've stayed at this hotel before during covid and it was amazing. I did stay this past weekend and the only downfall is my room was the first room off the elevator on my floor so there was alot of noise all night. The pool was also packed with kids..both things completely out of the hotels control. The room was nice and we had a beautiful view of buffalo and the mall! Breakfast was great and the location couldn't be better with lots of restaurants, mall and other attractions not far (Niagara falls). I'll be back again as my son and I always have a blast staying here!

The room itself is actually great value for money, but the facilities are basic. There's no paid drinking water in the room, and you have to go to the second floor to buy it, which is really inconvenient. Downstairs, there's a place to store luggage, but not overnight. The location is convenient; it's a 5-6 minute walk to the Charging Bull, and you can easily walk to the New York Stock Exchange and other financial areas. There's a subway entrance directly across from the hotel, with at least four platforms nearby, which is very handy. It's also close to the South Ferry. If you buy a New York City unlimited weekly subway pass, getting around is super easy from here.

The room wasn't huge, but for New York City, the price was decent, and the facilities were quite good. The front desk staff were also very helpful and even gave me a high-floor room with a view.
However, the cleanliness was pretty subpar. When I unfolded a bath towel, I saw dust fall off – I'm not sure if it was lint or something else. After showering, I lay on the bed, and within 15 minutes, my face had an allergic reaction. I have a severe dust mite allergy, so I immediately suspected either the towel or the bedding was dirty. I called the front desk to ask if they had any allergy medicine and explained the situation, asking what could be done. They said the hotel didn't provide it and I could buy my own. They also mentioned that if I wanted to switch rooms, a manager would need to come up and check the situation first. Since I was exhausted after a concert and only staying one night, I just didn't bother changing rooms. I asked the front desk to send up fresh towels and ordered some medicine to be delivered to the hotel myself. So, my review is that everything was great except for the hygiene.
The hotel is located near a viaduct but no noise. There are no slippers, toothbrushes, or bottled water in the room, which is more environmentally friendly, but relatively simple for domestic people. Don't expect Hyatt in the United States to be the same as in China. It feels like domestic Samsung standard.
Other than the name confusion (I booked double tree by Hilton but when I arrived it s still the old name) and room type that I booked was not given to me due to whatever reason (and trip.com already compensated me with a portion of the room charge), the stay was great
I had a great stay here. Check in was simple and the staff were nice. The room was nice for what I paid, although lighting not great with only the bathroom lighting and mirror being sufficient to apply make up! Bathroom was small and pokey, having to close the door to access the make up mirror was annoying as no sideboard to store makeup so had to keep going in and out. Room was noisy as could hear neighbours talking, and lots of street noise. Ear plugs helped. Shower tray turned into a paddling pool but reported this and it was fixed. Cleaning staff were very nice and insisted on making up the rooms if they saw me in the hall. Overall, the staff I spoke to during my stay were very good, check in/out process was simple - M was very polite and explained the process, room decor could do with a refresh but wasn’t terrible, main areas look just how they look on Gossip Girl! I was able to leave my case for two hours after check out, this was very helpful. Location was great, one block from Central Park and plenty of supermarkets and food places nearby (love Morton Williams!) and perfect being just opposite the Lincoln centre too, although did not attend any shows here but also looks the same as it looks on Etoile! Overall, a satisfying stay in a great location. I will definitely consider staying here again.

This hotel is conveniently located near Times Square and 5th Avenue, just a 5-minute walk from the subway. There's a Target supermarket right across the street, making it super easy to get around. The lobby is on the 21st floor, and check-in is available after 4 PM. We were able to store our luggage for free on the day we arrived. Our room on the 32nd floor was a corner room with windows on two sides, offering great views. It was clean, spacious, and bright, and there was even a Chinese-speaking receptionist, which was a thoughtful touch. The ground floor entrance is a bit small and has a pillar in the middle, but once you're inside, it's quite spacious. My only complaint is that housekeeping only made the bed and emptied the trash; they didn't clean the hair on the floor or restock the tissues and toilet paper. I hope they can improve on that.
It’s a lovely hotel and great location for me. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, specifically the night stand area. It was very dirty behind the nightstand and the way they have the cords hooked to an extension box …. Every time I moved in the bed one plug kept disconnecting. I also found a pair of glasses that did not belong to me. Tells me no one cleaned around that area.

MMartys69The hotel was better than we expected. We first walked in to a beautiful hotel and were immediately greeted by the staff. All staff were very friendly and helpful In the lobby area there is plenty of comfortable seating and an area with tables there’s a food area in the lobby and there’s a pool table near the entrance of the bar. The bar’s decor was very nice and there was also an outdoor area which leads to the walking trail The indoor pool area was very clean and nice. They have towels available and a bathroom in the pool area. The pool was at a perfect temperature we enjoyed the pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable the hotel is conveniently located to anything that you might like. Besides the walking trail that overlooks the harbor. Destiny mall is only a couple blocks away. It is close to other shops and eateries the highways are close as well as gas stations and downtown. I highly recommend going there for any kind of stay business or leisure. I can’t wait to go back.
MMillietWe had a wonderful stay at Hotel 50! Conveniently located in Chinatown, it’s perfect for enjoying affordable and delicious Chinese food. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind, and the check-in process was seamless. Our corner room on the 6th floor was spacious, clean, and comfortable with stunning views. The rooftop was nice, though smaller than it looked in photos. We’d definitely return and highly recommend this hotel!
TTrekkieMy girlfriend and I stayed in a large king suite complete with balcony and stunning view of NYC over the East River. We had an excellent room service breakfast the following morning. Would def recommend and return again one day!
GGuest UserStaff: Most staff are really helpful and lovely.Only the person on checkout was rude and unhelpful.
Room: we changed to a lovely rooms thanks to the help of one particular lovely professional staff at front counter> Our original room was at the back, dark and view on a wall through a small window.OK for one night, not for 5 nights!
Hotel: Only one lift worked (and it had been out for a long time we heard) and there are at least 20 rooms per floor. Plus the cleaning staff use the same lift. Not good for a Hilton brand. No complimentary bottle of water in the room, they charge $3 per bottle. There is water in the foyer though at certain times during the day/evening.
BBENGWe check-in very late around 4:00am due to our late flight and 1 missing piece of luggage. Got our room promptly, but the bath tub was choke and dirty. Tried to change our room, but was told that there was no other available room, but they sent someone to fix it in the morning.
The hotel is pretty basic, more for people with own transport.
Location wise, there is not much around the area, but we found Denny's within walking distance. There are a couple of other eating places as well, though we didn't try them.
GGuest UserThis hotel is amazing! The rooms are very spacious. Everything is super clean and the highlight is the location. I usually don’t write reviews but this time I have to because I’m so glad I stayed at this hotel. I could easily walk everywhere but it was still calm around so it was truly amazing. 10/10 would recommend to everyone! The rooms have very big windows and you have a super beautiful view of the Empire State Building from the room, even though I did not book a specific room. Overall super happy! The staff was very friendly too and many things are complimentary such as wine hour and tea in the mornings!
GGuest UserGreat hotel in excellent location. Very clean, kind and attentive staff, excellent amenities. Highly recommend the PTH, we are return customers and would go back again.
FFANLoved the rooftop bar with killer skyline views - perfect for Instagram! Rooms had a cool, modern vibe with mood lighting (and that sexy red shower was a vibe). But man, those rooms are TINY - barely had space to open my suitcase. Staff was hit or miss - some super friendly, others acted like I was bothering them. Location's decent but not amazing - had to walk a bit for subway access. Worth it if you catch a good deal, but don't expect luxury.
JJIANThe hotel is conveniently located for transit or return. But a little distance from the city, you need to drive. Then it is more old. But the price is good, breakfast is OK.
