This hotel in Colombo offers excellent value for money. It features a rooftop pool and a bar/restaurant on the top floor. You can even see Colombo Station, where the coastal train passes, right below. The guest rooms and bathrooms face the Indian Ocean, which is quite beautiful. While the breakfast isn't entirely to Chinese taste, it's sufficient to fill you up. The coffee bar in the ground-floor reception lobby accepts Alipay, and the prices are quite reasonable. Considering the price, it's highly recommended.

I stayed here for two nights and found the experience to be average. The location is definitely the best part of this hotel—you can’t beat it for convenience. I had requested a birthday cake upon arrival, and the hotel did a good job of arranging that for me, which I appreciated. However, the rest of the stay was hit-or-miss. The cleanliness was only average, and the receptionist wasn't very attentive. It’s a fine place if you just need a central spot to sleep.

I chose this hotel because I had a night flight. I was worried that it was a new hotel and not listed on Google Maps, but I managed to get there. I didn't know what to do when I arrived at the hotel at night, so my taxi driver contacted them. The owner was very kind! ︎The room was clean, and the garden was cleaned in the morning! ︎

I recently stayed at Amari Colombo in Colombo, and overall I had a wonderful experience. I was especially impressed with Nishel. Despite his young age, he was extremely professional, respectful, and attentive to our needs. He immediately helped us find the most suitable room for our stay and handled everything efficiently. Upekha was also very helpful and kind throughout our visit, always ready to assist with a smile. The only negative point was the early check-in policy. We arrived around 5:00 a.m. and were asked to pay an additional $150, which felt quite expensive and significantly higher than the average nightly rate listed on various booking platforms. Other than that, everything was excellent. The view was stunning, the rooms were spotless, and the breakfast was rich and delicious, offering many options from both local and international cuisine. I would definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Stayed for 4 nights as i had a wedding to attend.  It was my first time visiting Colombo City so went in with lots of excitement in general.  Got to hotel pretty late, but was welcomed by a very friendly doorman who took all my bags.  Check in was smooth.  Room is very clean, modern, full A/C, it's all well done.  I had a nice view to the city and the ocean.  I used the gym, it's decent, has everything you need to keep yourself fit during your stay.  There are loads food places, like western to asian food all near by.  50m away from a big supermarket if you need to grab anything.  It's about 20,25 mins away from Red Mosque on Tuktuk.  I'd stay here again for sure. 

An excellent stay that truly reflects the warmth and professionalism of true Sri Lankan hospitality. The hotel was comfortable, efficient service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally courteous, attentive, and professional throughout my stay, making the experience seamless and enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic stay with outstanding service. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

This was my second stay at Cinnamon Grand. My first experience was excellent. This time, I checked in late, and since the rooms in the usual section were full, I was assigned a room on the other side. The facilities there felt noticeably older, the hairdryer was broken, and the bathroom was smaller than in the other section. Furthermore, the cleanliness was poor – there were clumps of hair and a dead cockroach, and no slippers were provided. It felt like the two sections of the hotel had different standards for room upkeep. Since it was late when I checked in and I was only staying for two nights, I decided not to ask the hotel to change my room. If you're staying here, I recommend choosing a room accessed via the front desk entrance, rather than the one next to the pastry shop. I hope the hotel can improve the standards of these rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. During check-in, there was a system issue, and I was initially assigned two double rooms. The staff member then had to check four different rooms to find a correct single room for me. I really appreciate their effort. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the beach. However, it's quite a distance from the artificial harbor and the shopping mall, so it's best to take a tuk-tuk.

We came to Sri Lanka for Chinese New Year, and the country gave us a wonderful experience. The hotel's service was excellent; they even added an extra bed for us since we were traveling with a child. That evening, we had Chinese food on the 10th floor and saw the stunning infinity pool. The Chinese food was quite good. Breakfast was also fantastic, and we got to see the small seaside train from the second floor where we ate! And, of course, the ocean! The tea here is excellent, definitely worth trying.

Perfect location. Hotel rooms are big and clean. Customer care and room service was excellent. Recommend this place for your short vacations with family and friends.

Facilities: The facilities are very new, and the bedding is very comfortable. Hygiene: The hygiene is excellent. Service: The service is good, and the breakfast selection is rich. Environment: The environment is nice. The room offers direct views of the sea and the famous 'internet-famous' mini-train. Compared to some other five-star hotels, it's a bit further from popular restaurants and shopping malls.
