RWonderful Stay at Rebak Island Resort We had a wonderful stay at Rebak Island Resort & Marina Langkawi. The location is excellent, peaceful, and very suitable for families who are looking for privacy and relaxation. The resort services were excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and all the staff were very kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. The private beach is beautiful, clean, and offers a great level of privacy, which makes it especially suitable for families. We also really enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant. It was excellent, varied, and offered many good options to choose from. I would also like to share one recommendation that could make the resort even better: it would be great to have more security cameras covering all areas of the resort, including the swimming pool, beach, rooms area, and walkways. It would also be very helpful to have lifeguards or safety staff monitoring the beach and swimming pool areas. This would make the resort feel even safer for children and give parents more peace of mind while their young kids are playing or swimming. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this resort to families looking for a quiet, clean, and relaxing island getaway.

⭐️ (Strongly Not Recommended) My stay at A Coral Reefs Resort from 21–23 March started off acceptable, but what happened after check-out was deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s professionalism and integrity. After I had already left the property and arrived at the airport, I received a call accusing me of being involved in a missing RM1200 reported by three foreign guests. This accusation was based solely on a vague CCTV clip showing me sitting in the lobby and putting something into my pocket. Let me be absolutely clear: such an allegation, made without concrete evidence, is irresponsible and unacceptable. The hotel’s account of the incident was inconsistent and unreliable. I was first told the money was left on a table, and later it was claimed to be inside a pair of pants. The inability to establish even the most basic facts seriously calls into question the credibility of the entire claim. Even more concerning is the timeline. If the alleged incident took place on 21 March, why was I only contacted on 23 March, after I had already checked out and reached the airport? This delay reflects either poor internal handling or a lack of proper investigation. The CCTV clip provided was incomplete and unclear. It merely shows me placing my own personal belongings (my phone and medicated oil) into my pocket. There is absolutely no evidence that I handled or took any cash. Relying on such selective and inconclusive footage to imply wrongdoing is not only unprofessional, but also unfairly damaging to a guest’s reputation. We have formally requested the full CCTV footage to ensure transparency and proper verification of facts. Failure to provide complete and unedited recordings will only further undermine the credibility of this accusation. If this matter is not handled appropriately, we will not hesitate to escalate it through formal complaint channels. Guests should be aware that without clear evidence, this establishment is willing to cast suspicion based on assumptions rather than facts.

This is an older, established hotel in Langkawi. The decor and the entire room are made of wood, so it's not a particularly new renovation. However, it's relatively clean. The breakfast is quite extensive overall. What's worth praising are the numerous activities offered by the hotel. The rainforest trek requires advance booking and is quite suitable for families with children. The hotel's shuttle service is also good. In the evening, there's a fire show on the beach; you need to go early to secure a spot, or book a lounge chair, which costs around 30 MYR per person. Since the rooms are located within the rainforest, be very careful not to leave any food in your luggage, otherwise, you'll end up with ants everywhere! There are also many monkeys, so please do not feed them, or the place will turn into a 'Fruit and Flower Mountain'!

Traveling during the National Day holiday, Langkawi is a relatively niche destination in Malaysia, not too crowded. As a resort hotel, PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort was decent in all aspects. The staff were quite polite. During my stay, there were a few minor issues with the room facilities – the dining table's overhead light wouldn't turn off, and the hairdryer wasn't working (they were resolved fairly quickly). The sea-view pool on the 5th floor offered a fantastic view, directly facing the Andaman Sea, making for a truly relaxing vacation!

I've stayed at many resorts over the years, but Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa is one of the very few places that has left such a lasting impression on me. As someone who visits Langkawi a minimum of twice a year, I can confidently say that I have finally found my forever place to stay whenever I'm on the island. What makes Pelangi truly special is its people. The level of service is comparable to that of a world-class luxury resort. Every staff member I encountered was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about ensuring guests had a wonderful stay. In fact, I cannot single out one person for special recognition because every single person was exceptional. From the front desk and housekeeping teams to the restaurant staff and those maintaining the resort grounds, every interaction was consistently outstanding. The exceptional service is not limited to a few individuals; it is clearly part of the resort's culture and something the management should be incredibly proud of. The rooms are comfortable, well-maintained, and provide the perfect retreat after a day of exploring Langkawi. However, prospective guests should understand what makes Pelangi unique. The accommodation consists of traditional Malay-style wooden chalets rather than concrete hotel blocks. The resort has a wonderfully authentic kampung feel, which is a large part of its charm. With wooden structures, some sound naturally travels in and out more than it would in a modern concrete building. For me, this adds to the character and authenticity of the experience rather than taking away from it. What I particularly love is that while the chalets retain their traditional architecture and charm on the outside, the interiors are modern, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It's a wonderful blend of heritage and comfort that feels distinctly Langkawi. The resort grounds are immaculate, beautifully landscaped, and absolutely spotless. Everywhere you look, there is clear attention to detail and pride in maintaining the property to a very high standard. Walking around the property is a pleasure in itself. Breakfast is good, with an adequate variety of options to cater to different tastes and preferences. There is always something enjoyable to start the day, whether you prefer local favourites or international selections. If I had to offer one tiny piece of constructive feedback, it would be regarding the air conditioning. During my stay, it was clearly working hard to cool the entire room and did a decent job, but the tropical Langkawi heat can be challenging. Thankfully, the ceiling fan complemented the air conditioning perfectly and helped keep the room comfortable throughout my stay. Combined with its stunning beachfront setting, beautiful grounds, comfortable accommodation, authentic charm, and genuinely outstanding hospitality, Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa delivers an experience that keeps me coming back year after year. For me, this resort is no longer just a place to stay. It has become my home away from home in Langkawi, and I genuinely look forward to every return visit. After many trips to the island, I can confidently say that I have found my forever resort. If you're looking for authentic Malaysian charm, exceptional staff, a beautiful beachfront location, and a resort that feels both luxurious and welcoming, Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa is an easy recommendation. I cannot wait for my next stay.

Camar Resort Langkawi has several positive points. The hotel is clean, the location is excellent, and the staff members are generally kind and helpful. The resort is located by the beach, which makes it a convenient and pleasant place to stay. However, I believe there are some important points that need serious attention from the hotel management and the front desk team. First, I did not find it appropriate that upon check-in, the guest is immediately informed about many rules, penalties, restrictions, and prohibited actions in a way that does not feel very welcoming. These rules are already common in most hotels and can simply be printed and placed inside the room, instead of making the guest feel uncomfortable at the beginning of the stay. Second, for a four-star beachfront hotel, it is disappointing that there are no washing machines available, neither in the rooms nor as a shared laundry facility in the hotel. This is inconvenient for guests, especially families, as they may need a place to wash and dry their clothes during their stay. Third, the breakfast needs improvement. The variety of food is limited, and it does not offer enough options to satisfy different tastes. Also, the same dishes are repeated every day, and the quality of the breakfast was not at the level expected from a four-star resort. Fourth, I had an unpleasant experience during check-out with one of the front desk staff. There was an attempt to deduct part of my deposit for a reason that I found unacceptable and not the guest’s responsibility. I strongly objected and did not allow the amount to be deducted, but such behavior gives a very negative impression of the hotel. Not all guests may object, and some may end up paying unfair charges. Fifth, regarding the taxes and extra charges, the amount stated during booking was RM15, to be paid upon arrival. However, upon check-in, I was charged RM45. Later, when I extended my stay for three more days, I was charged another RM15. In my opinion, this is not clear and does not seem fair, as most hotels usually charge the stated amount only once according to the booking conditions. The hotel should be more transparent and consistent regarding these charges. Overall, the resort has good potential because of its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff, but the management needs to improve the check-in experience, laundry facilities, breakfast quality, and the way deposits and extra charges are handled. These improvements would make the guest experience much better and more professional.

I had a wonderful stay at Ombak Villa Langkawi. The room was comfortable, the surroundings were beautiful, and the overall atmosphere made for a relaxing staycation. The facilities were great, and I truly enjoyed my time here. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The check-in experience was disappointing. Although I had booked my room four days in advance, I still had to wait almost an hour before my room was ready. What made it more frustrating was that no apology or explanation was given by the staff for the delay. Another area that needs improvement is the Wi-Fi connection, which was quite unstable during my stay. Overall, I had a great experience and would still recommend Ombak Villa Langkawi. With better customer service during check-in and a more reliable Wi-Fi connection, the experience would be even better.

Summary - Great apartment for families, decent location, but had a rough first half of the stay (construction noise, power trips, AC issue, breakfast/restaurant stock shortages, spa gripes). Guest relations sorted it out properly and the second half was excellent. Solid 4-star, not 5. We spent 8 nights here with our three kids (11, 7, and 6 months), and overall it was a good trip — but not without some hiccups. First, the good stuff: the apartment was brilliant. Really modern, loads of space, perfect for a family our size. The pool was a great depth for the little ones to splash about, the gym being open 24 hours was handy for early workouts, and the location's a good one. Staff were friendly throughout too. Now the not-so-good bits, which mostly hit us in the first 4 days: There's a big building going up literally 30 metres from the hotel, and it completely blocked our sea view. Worse, the construction noise ran from about 8am to 6pm every day — weekends included, so no escaping it. We also had the electricity trip in our apartment twice, and the aircon in the main room packed in for about an hour at one point. Breakfast was hit and miss — quite a few things out of stock, especially on day one. Then one evening at the restaurant, we went to order wine and two of the bottles we wanted weren't available either. Small thing, but combined with everything else it added up. Over at the spa, one of the treatment rooms had a broken speaker that crackled the whole time — not exactly relaxing. They'd also advertised a 30% discount without mentioning it only applies to treatments between 10am-noon, which felt a bit misleading. By day 4 we'd had enough of the issues piling up and asked about a partial refund, half-thinking about moving hotels for the rest of the trip. We dealt with Nur Farah Ain Jamrin, the guest relations manager. To be honest, our concerns weren't taken quite as seriously as we'd have liked at first — but to her credit, she and the team then went and properly sorted things out. I won't go into what exactly was offered since I think every situation's different and should be judged on its own merits, but the effort was clearly there, and it completely turned things around. The rest of the stay was genuinely excellent. So overall — lovely apartment, good facilities, friendly staff, but a bumpy start with maintenance and stock issues that a 5-star hotel really shouldn't have. The recovery was handled well though. I'd call it a solid 4-star.

Although it's not a new hotel , holiday villa is well maintained .. room and toilet are clean , water pressure is good and the aircond is strong.. room had complimentary water , hair dryer & a iron .. lovely greenery all around .. staff are friendly and courteous .. enjoyed our private beach and the hotel was in walking distance to quite a number of eateries .. highly recommend orkid ria seafood for fresh and affordable seafood . .grab rides to pantai cenang cost us about rm4-7 .. I would give the hotel breakfast buffet a miss tho ..

The service was enthusiastic, but the facilities were old and the room was small. The fridge was full of water and mold, and the kettle was leaking. Breakfast was terrible, with limited options and the worst quality I've ever had in a hotel. The ingredients were extremely poor. Even the fruit was tasteless and not sweet; the pineapple was so sour it was inedible, the waffles tasted sour, and the only vegetable was stir-fried cabbage. There was absolutely nothing redeemable about it. The only edible items were the freshly made paratha and omelets.
