The hotel is new and the service is excellent. It's very convenient, and they even thoughtfully provided disposable bath bags and toilet seat covers. Downstairs, you're right by the river, and next to a night market with street food and a pedestrian street. You absolutely have to try the complimentary wheat bran hair wash – it seems to be a specialty of Liuzhou, with hair salons everywhere. I paid extra for the family combo, which was incredibly comfortable and great value for money. The travel photos turned out amazing, highly recommended!
The family room was on the 2nd floor. I thought for such a high price, we'd get a higher floor with a river view, but the upside was that the kids' ball pit was right outside the door, and my child had a fantastic time.
The floor-to-ceiling windows at the 12th-floor bar and the outdoor balcony at the 13th-floor restaurant offer a great view of the musical fountain at night, helping you avoid the crowds downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel gets busy, and the restaurant is a bit small, so there were no tables available during breakfast peak hours. If I get the chance to visit Liuzhou again, I'll definitely stay at the Wyndham.

We’ve travelled all over the world and stayed in everything from budget hotels to some of the most well-known luxury brands, and we can honestly say this was the best hotel we’ve ever experienced.
Everything about Liangsu Hotel in Yangshuo exceeded our expectations. The service from the staff was absolutely impeccable—everyone was so warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. It didn’t feel forced or “hotel-like” at all, just very natural and thoughtful. They really go above and beyond to make your stay special.
The room was something else. Waking up to that view every morning honestly felt unreal—it’s like living inside a painting. The design is beautiful and calming, and every detail in the room felt carefully thought out. It’s one of those places where you actually look forward to spending time in the room.
One really unique touch we loved was the complimentary 30-minute travel photography session. It’s such a thoughtful experience, and the setting makes for incredible photos—you’re basically surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable. It’s a small detail, but it made the stay even more memorable.
The whole hotel has such a peaceful, dreamy atmosphere that makes it really hard to leave. It’s quiet, scenic, and just feels very special compared to a lot of other places we’ve stayed.
We’ve stayed in many “luxury” hotels before, but this one stands out because it combines stunning design, nature, and truly genuine service.
Highly, highly recommend—this place is something special. For us it's more than 5 stars!

I was very satisfied with the hotel I chose this time. Before I arrived, they proactively called to ask if I'd mind the noise from renovations in the adjacent building during the day. Since I was out all day, it wasn't an issue.
The breakfast was exactly as shown in the promotional pictures – excellent ambiance and a wide variety of options. You could directly see Fubo Hill and East & West Alleys from there.
The hotel is located right next to a pedestrian street, so there are plenty of food options downstairs. It's only a five-minute walk to the Li River, and if you stroll along the banks, you can see Elephant Trunk Hill. Elephant Trunk Park is just a few minutes' walk away, and entry is free with a QR code reservation. We took a boat tour for 90 RMB per person, enjoying an hour-long scenic cruise. The disembarkation point was also just a few minutes' walk back to the hotel.
Since my high-speed train was at 3 PM and it wasn't too busy today, I was granted a late check-out until 2 PM. Overall, I was very happy with the service.
Minor drawbacks: The toilet and shower are separate, which is great, but they share one door. This means two people can't use them simultaneously. Also, it would be perfect if the shower had a couple more hooks for clothes.
Oh, and the noodle shop diagonally opposite the hotel downstairs is delicious! The owner said it's been open since the 90s, but they'll be closing in July when their lease expires. Definitely worth trying!
Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting.
The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes.
One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds.
Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

From the moment we walked in, we felt a warm welcome. The front desk had many daily essentials available, like iodine swabs and dental floss. Water and drinks were self-service. Guilin hotels aren't usually huge, but this one was quite charming. They even had a kids' play area and a pool. The kids absolutely loved the slide room, and the bed was super comfy – the whole family slept well in this room type. The room had good depth, though it was a bit narrow, but perfectly fine for a family of three. The shower was great, with strong water pressure. *However, do NOT trust the wireless charger by the bed.* I confirmed it was charging with the screen on the night before, but woke up to a dead phone. If you have something important to do the next day, always use a continuous power cord. Oh, and the breakfast rice noodles were delicious! 😋 Overall, it was great, highly recommend.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations; it's more like a one-stop resort complex than just a hotel.
**Food:**
As a seasoned foodie, the dining experience is always my top priority, and this place truly delivered with a different menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, but my heart will forever belong to their Guilin rice noodles. Made to order, served with a spoonful of secret braised sauce, fried soybeans, and pickled long beans – the flavor was absolutely divine! I had to have two bowls to truly satisfy my craving. It's also worth noting that the soy milk during breakfast is freshly ground, incredibly smooth, and full of natural soybean flavor, tasting just like homemade. Pairing that with a freshly brewed coffee while enjoying the view by the window was such a relaxing and therapeutic experience.
**Photography:**
Another hidden gem of my stay was the complimentary travel photoshoot. I initially just planned to snap a few pictures for memories, but the photographer was excellent at directing, and the compositions were fantastic. What truly impressed me was the post-processing. When I received the photos, I noticed only subtle adjustments to lighting and color, with my skin texture beautifully preserved. There was no over-editing or artificial beautification; it looked natural and very high-end.
**Unexpected Delights:**
The hotel's most unique feature is surprisingly its cormorant birds! Due to my schedule, I unfortunately missed seeing them, which was a bit of a shame.
They also offer intangible cultural heritage craft experiences!
**Butler service is available 24 hours.**

Absolutely loved our family stay! The room was spacious, giving my little one plenty of space to run around without feeling cramped. The bathroom had ample hot water, and all the toiletries were provided. It's super convenient with lots of dining and shopping options nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly towards children, and the place was spotless, making our stay very reassuring. Definitely our top choice for family trips! They even upgraded our room for free, the service was truly exceptional. My child loved it so much we're coming back in a few days!
I really love this hotel. I stumbled upon it during a road trip and ever since, I bring my family here a few times every year. The rooms, environment, service, hot springs, and even the surrounding restaurants are all excellent. My favorite is the large suite; the views are fantastic, and the room itself is great, which is why I always book this room type. However, I have to give a bad review for room 512 in Building B this time.
1. **Awful smell in the hot springs.** After the apartments next to the hotel were developed, the foot traffic increased, and I understand it gets busy during Chinese New Year. However, the facilities and service severely lagged behind. This visit was after the holiday rush, on a weekday. I checked in at 2 PM, went for a swim in the pool, and then headed up the mountain to the hot springs. To my dismay, several pools on the mountainside reeked of a foul odor. It was so bad I didn't even consider getting in. I went straight to the mountaintop, and the area around the mountaintop pool also had this disgusting smell. My mood was instantly ruined, and I went back to my room. Is it reasonable to change the water once a day with normal traffic, and still only once a day when the New Year traffic doubles? The pools already stank by 2 PM. Is this my first day's hotel experience? Don't tell me it's a natural smell from the hot springs; I've been here many times, and it's never smelled like this, not even the next morning when I went for a dip.
2. **No bath towels.** I came out of the 24-degree pool looking for a bath towel. All the way to the hot stone therapy area on the mountaintop, there wasn't a single dry towel. Finally, I saw a transport cart going up the mountain, so I went over and spoke to the driver. I ended up moving a stack of towels from the cart myself and putting them in the towel cabinet before I could get one. If this were a child, they would have caught a cold by then.
3. **Lack of service.** In the changing rooms and the mountaintop food court, all the tables and chairs were piled with garbage, and used towels were strewn everywhere. Absolutely no one was cleaning up. I finally found a clean table at the very edge of the newly opened food court, closest to area C. All my good spirits were gone. During holidays, there's heavy foot traffic, and fewer staff. For customers, the room rate is higher, but the experience is significantly worse.
4. **Outdated room facilities.** With my mood already ruined and unable to enjoy the hot springs, I could only go back to the room. My child wanted to watch TV, but the TV was as slow and laggy as something from 20 years ago. It's been 26 years, seriously! A smart TV doesn't cost much. Even the staff admitted they don't watch TVs like that. Then my wife needed to charge her phone, and both bedside outlets were broken, showing signs of having short-circuited. This is a serious fire and electrocution hazard. When I went to shower, the showerhead sprayed water everywhere, drenching me. And in such a large suite, one Wi-Fi hotspot couldn't even cover it. The Wi-Fi signal was completely dead near the hot spring pool and the toilet. This is a 1700 RMB room, and over 2000 RMB during holidays. If it were a 300 RMB guesthouse, I wouldn't complain, but for a 2000 RMB room, are these facilities acceptable?

Overall pleasant hotel with nice mountain views. We liked the service, the reception staff was kind enough to help us connect with local railway company to find a lost item we left on the train. Swimming pool is nice, rooms are very spacious and have beautiful furniture, design is very ergonomic. Very good local noodles for breakfast. We received photography coupon as a bonus, it was fun taking photos in a traditional costume, highly recommended experience!
Things to improve: robes, pillows and blankets are made from synthetic materials and are not pleasant to touch, it is better to change to natural materials; shower box is leaking too much, need to fix this; it would be great to have more local fruit and sweets for breakfast like buns, mochi, kumquat erc. - western baked stuff does not taste that good.
Note for April 2026 -- there is a massive construction happening around the romance park, so construction cranes can be seen in the distance. There is no noise, but it can spoil the view a little.

Facilities: The facilities are very new and comprehensive, and they even have robots delivering meals, which is incredibly thoughtful.
Cleanliness: It's very clean, which gives you peace of mind.
Environment: It's located right above MixC, making it convenient to go anywhere.
Service: Ms. Elva was patient and meticulous throughout, explaining everything wonderfully.
Guangxi Specialty ”Gongwenbao” Welcome Drink: So delicious! A must-try when in Nanning!
This trip was for a business trip. I stayed at the same place for the working days, but I decided to extend my stay by one more day before heading back, wanting to experience Nanning's tallest hotel. Shangri-La is a well-established brand; the first 5-star hotel I ever stayed in was a Shangri-La. I was pleasantly surprised this time after booking when a staff member, Ms. Elva, directly escorted me from the front desk to the Horizon Club lounge for VIP reception. She also upgraded my room type, giving me a more expansive view and greater comfort. During the reception, she gave me a Guangxi ”Gongwenbao” fruit tea and a bag of Luosifen! After entering the room, she meticulously explained how to use everything, which was very thoughtful and responsible!
It's a pity that I caught a cold and had a fever the day before checking in this time. Besides ordering takeout once and having breakfast the next morning, I didn't get to properly enjoy the other facilities, which is a bit of a regret. However, having regrets means there's a next time to make it perfect. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the near future! 😊

GGuest UserThe Riverview is a fantastic hotel to stay in Yangshuo!
Located very close to Longtoushan wharf, it's very easy to get to if you come to Yangshuo via the cruise.
The staff are very helpful, they gave me all the resources I needed during my stay, and were able to be contacted at any point via WeChat.
The room was lovely, a comfortable bed and a fantastic view from the balcony!
I'd definitely recommend the Riverview to anyone staying in Yangshuo.
AAbuzabi-kakaMy first time in Guilin, and my ten-day stay here has been wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuine care from every single staff member.
My day always started pleasantly with the buffet breakfast at 'Li Café' on the first floor. They offer not only a rich international feast but also authentic Guilin rice noodles and other local specialties. Nick Liang and his team are always hands-on, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly.
Disy Chen from the Horizon Club is incredibly enthusiastic, always anticipating guests' needs, and her attention to detail makes you feel like family.
Anna Quan from housekeeping on the 7th floor exemplifies Shangri-La's meticulous service. Her thoughtful and detailed care makes the room a truly relaxing sanctuary.
Concierge staff proactively open doors and handle luggage, always with a genuine smile, as if welcoming a family member home from a long journey. The service is seamless.
Our hotel boasts a massive 'Twin Camphor Garden' right by the river. The gardening staff not only maintain the plants beautifully but also greet guests with a warm smile, making you feel very welcome.
The back garden also features a mini zoo, which is cleaned meticulously every morning with no unpleasant odors, showing the hotel's care for every little creature.
If you're looking for a warm and genuinely touching place to stay in Guilin, this is absolutely the ideal choice.

GGuest UserOur stay was excellent! My mom kept raving about how clean the hotel was, the spacious room, and the great service. We originally booked a room in Building B, but the front desk staff upgraded us to Building A because we had a lot of luggage and my mom is older. Building A has an elevator, which was very convenient. The room had a lovely minimalist, natural wood style – exactly what I like – and a small balcony. The balcony faced the mountains, so the air was fresh, and we could hear birds chirping. My mom and I really enjoyed sitting out there and having tea. There's a huge rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the mountains and the river. The hotel is super close to West Street, about a 30-meter walk, but despite West Street being bustling, the hotel itself was very quiet. I'd definitely stay here again next time and recommend it to my friends. Overall, a fantastic experience! It's also very close to all the surrounding scenic spots.

LLexielilyWe stayed at JiYun Resort as two guests and had the most wonderful experience. From the moment before we even arrived, the team was already attentive and thoughtful. They noted that it was my birthday and surprised us with a cake, an extra gift, and even a hand drawn card. It was incredibly kind and meant so much to us.
The front desk team was always on top of everything. They were responsive, proactive, and genuinely caring. The concierge support on WeChat was exceptional. No matter how small our question or request was, they answered quickly and clearly, which made everything feel easy and stress free for us as English speakers.
Each evening, it was such a comfort to come back to a warm meal. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and it became something we really looked forward to after long days exploring. The location is also excellent with beautiful views and easy access to the village, which made getting around simple and enjoyable.
We had to leave early in the morning and were unable to attend breakfast, but the team kindly prepared a breakfast to go for us. They also helped us arrange transportation and made sure everything was smooth. That level of care and support made us feel so looked after.
Although we did not have time to try the resort experiences, our stay was still incredibly special. We slept very well after our days in the countryside and felt completely taken care of throughout. The entire staff, including the morning security team, were warm, kind, and welcoming.
As first time visitors to a Chinese resort, we were a bit nervous, but the team made everything seamless. They helped us with communication even before the stay, provided rain gear when needed, and gave helpful advice on where to go. Their care and attention truly made this experience unforgettable.
This stay made us fall in love with the region, and we would absolutely return. Thank you to the entire JiYun team for such a beautiful and thoughtful experience.

LLinuokeloulouI apologize for the late review, I've been quite busy. But this hidden gem truly deserves it! This is our third time visiting Guilin, and this is by far the most satisfying hotel we've ever stayed at – a perfect choice, absolutely worth it! The environment is lovely, the location is great, and the service is exceptional. It really made our vacation experience fantastic. If we come to Guilin a fourth time, this will definitely be our top pick again!
GGuest UserOn a business trip to Guilin, I chose this hotel and it was such a pleasant surprise! The hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled in a quiet spot within Guilin's city center. The beautiful scenery of the Two Rivers and Four Lakes is practically at your doorstep, with Elephant Trunk Hill Park and the bustling pedestrian street just a hundred meters away. Locals all say Elephant Trunk Hill and the Sun and Moon Pagodas are Guilin's landmarks, and sitting on the balcony in my room, looking out at the lake and the pagodas, the view was truly stunning. The room was comfortable and safe, and whenever I had a question, the concierge was incredibly helpful and provided detailed answers. It's a very cozy and elegant hotel; I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location just a few hundred meters from the attractions is incredibly convenient. The staff were very enthusiastic, and even though we had a small hiccup, it was perfectly resolved. The hotel offers free parking and free breakfast. The only downside is that the decor is a bit dated, but the service and cleanliness are good, it's easy to get around, and it's great value for money. A special shout-out to the landlady, her service attitude was superb!
