Romantic Hotels in Guangxi, China

I had a truly satisfying stay! The location of Wangjianglou is unbeatable, very close to West Street and the Li River, making getting around super convenient. I specifically booked the 'Leisure Courtyard View Twin Room,' and it was clean, tidy, well-equipped, and completely odor-free. The courtyard environment is incredibly tranquil and peaceful, a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The twin room was spacious enough; my family and I didn't feel cramped at all. The staff were friendly and responsive. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. It was an impeccable accommodation experience, deserving of a five-star rating!

Huge thanks to Cici, our butler, for the surprise birthday cake upon check-in – it really set the perfect mood! Niki and Felix were also incredibly friendly, making the entire stay very comfortable. The hotel's facilities are top-notch, and the backyard garden is both large and beautiful with excellent service. We had a wonderful birthday evening and will definitely choose this hotel again when we return to Guilin. Plus, the little back gate in the garden leads directly to the Li River!

The hotel's location is excellent, with great views and perfect for photos. We booked a room with a pool, which was ideal for kids to swim and play. The butler service was very attentive, and the hotel also offers free laundry and drying services, which was really convenient.

Facilities: Very good, the mattress is super comfortable to sleep on, and the bathroom has a wet/dry separation, plus there's a bathtub! It's not a cheap tub either; you can tell they chose good quality. Most of the room facilities are great. Cleanliness: As soon as you enter the room, it feels very fresh, no strange odors, and the aromatherapy scent is lovely, giving a very comfortable feeling. Environment: The hotel is just a few dozen meters from West Street, and crucially, it's next to the pedestrian street, yet there's absolutely no noise from inside the hotel. West Street is in front, and the river is out the back, making evening strolls very pleasant. The guesthouse lobby also has a great design, perfect for photos. It's very quiet at night for sleeping, and you can even watch the sunrise and enjoy the scenery from the terrace. It's basically one of the tallest buildings on West Street. Overall, I'd give this guesthouse a top-tier rating.

Staying here felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese landscape painting, and the 270-degree panoramic view was absolutely breathtaking! The cantilevered hot spring was perfect for soaking away all my fatigue, the service was attentive, and it was a fantastic spot for photos. There's no need to think about anything here; just spending the whole day relaxing is the ultimate vacation. The hotel also offers a complimentary travel photoshoot, which turned out great, and the photographer was excellent. Highly recommend!

Our stay with the kids was fantastic! They had so much fun they didn't want to leave. The hotel has a dedicated kids' club where they can play to their heart's content. The afternoon tea and breakfast provided were both exquisite! (Great presentation too, haha!) In the lobby, you can enjoy oil tea, sew embroidered balls, and try on Zhuang ethnic costumes for free photos. It's very suitable for families with children. The overall environment is comfortable, and the service is thoughtful and attentive. Highly recommend for family trips!

The hotel's location right by the Li River is quite peaceful, which I prefer over the noisy West Street area since I'm a light sleeper. I really appreciate that the front desk upgraded my room type. It's not far from West Street pedestrian street either, offering a quiet escape while still being convenient, almost like being on a backstreet in the countryside. The hotel also has its own restaurant where I ate both my meals; the food was delicious and good value for money, plus guests get a 10% discount. After dinner, a stroll along the river is lovely and relaxing, with locals also out for walks. You can get some great photos of the river and mountain views from the hotel's rooftop. They also offer self-service laundry and drying, which is super handy given how rainy and humid the weather can be here. All the staff, including housekeeping and restaurant servers, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The hygiene was excellent; even the tiles in the hallway were spotless, and the public areas were very clean, with staff cleaning early in the morning. The overall environment was quite good, nestled against the mountains, offering a serene atmosphere. However, the appearance of the residential houses outside the hotel somewhat lowered the overall standard. What I most want to complain about is the service. When we checked in, we were told the highest floor wasn't ready yet, so we went out. No one informed us when the room was ready, so we ended up staying on a lower floor when we returned. A butler contacted us in advance to inquire about our itinerary, offer suggestions, and claim they had discounted tickets for performances. However, after checking prices through other channels, we found theirs to be more expensive and politely declined. The butler then became passive-aggressive, which was very uncomfortable. The next morning, the rice noodle stall at breakfast was utterly chaotic; whoever showed up got the noodles. The breakfast greetings also felt abrupt and robotic; it would be better to just cancel them. Regarding the cormorant show in the morning, animal performances are already a sensitive topic, and the staff treated the animals very roughly, grabbing them by the neck and throwing them. With so many children watching, whose concepts and behaviors are still developing, this could easily lead them to imitate such actions and be misguided. The large lawn had various facilities and activities, including individual rooms with TVs to watch the World Cup, which was a highlight. The main downside is the remote location and poor transportation facilities, making it inconvenient to go anywhere for dining or sightseeing.

The hotel I blindly booked on my first night in Yangshuo was absolutely divine! The view from the scenic room was incredible; when I opened the curtains, it was all mountains. It was super relaxing to look at. The infinity pool was gorgeous for photos, and there's a small courtyard downstairs to stroll around in. Free breakfast and afternoon tea were also included. I was so happy with this stay!

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right in the heart of Guilin city. Both the top-floor restaurant and the rooms offer the best views of the Sun and Moon Pagodas. Downstairs, you'll find the Fir Lake, part of the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area. Elephant Trunk Hill is just a 5-minute walk away. I received a complimentary room upgrade to a spacious 80-90 square meter room, complete with a separate walk-in closet, a huge terrace, and a double vanity. The welcome fruit and minibar items could be replenished upon request. The service was exceptional; staff were patient and helpful, offering bottled water when I left the hotel, and I even received essential oils as a farewell gift. The hotel breakfast was also excellent, featuring Guilin rice noodles, grilled steak, stewed chicken soup, freshly squeezed passion fruit juice, and many other made-to-order dishes. It's also rated as the top restaurant in Guangxi. The hotel offers a fantastic travel photography experience where you can choose from Miao or Zhuang ethnic costumes, enhanced by the surrounding beautiful scenery. They also offer intangible cultural heritage workshops like making traditional Chinese herbal sachets. Staying multiple nights includes a complimentary foot massage. While the swimming pool is a bit small, it's a wave pool, which is great for kids.
