Hotel near Five Star Street/People's Square,Liuzhou 22.1% of visitors choose this area
GGuest User 2026.02.22
The hotel is new and the service is excellent. It's very convenient, and they even thoughtfully provided disposable bath bags and toilet seat covers. Downstairs, you're right by the river, and next to a night market with street food and a pedestrian street. You absolutely have to try the complimentary wheat bran hair wash – it seems to be a specialty of Liuzhou, with hair salons everywhere. I paid extra for the family combo, which was incredibly comfortable and great value for money. The travel photos turned out amazing, highly recommended! The family room was on the 2nd floor. I thought for such a high price, we'd get a higher floor with a river view, but the upside was that the kids' ball pit was right outside the door, and my child had a fantastic time. The floor-to-ceiling windows at the 12th-floor bar and the outdoor balcony at the 13th-floor restaurant offer a great view of the musical fountain at night, helping you avoid the crowds downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel gets busy, and the restaurant is a bit small, so there were no tables available during breakfast peak hours. If I get the chance to visit Liuzhou again, I'll definitely stay at the Wyndham.

My stay at LS Hotel Yangshuo was honestly on another level. From the moment we arrived, the service exceeded anything I could have imagined. From helping with our bags to the immediate WeChat responses from Yalina and Lynn, everything felt so seamless and attentive. My friend and I were genuinely amazed by this level of care. The breakfast spread was great, and afternoon tea with those breathtaking views was something I looked forward to every single day. The photography session was also a highlight—our photographer, Chengzi, made it efficient and comfortable, and my friend and I absolutely loved how the pictures turned out. Truly an unforgettable experience. 110% recommend!!

This hotel's location is absolutely perfect! Right downstairs, you're on the famous ZhengYang Pedestrian Street. Across the way is DongXiang, and just a short walk through the pedestrian street brings you to Elephant Trunk Hill and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area. It's incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. The room itself was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The service was thoughtful and attentive, and the rooftop view is simply stunning. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the facilities are comprehensive. The value for money is unbeatable! I'll definitely choose Gangshe Hotel again on my next trip to Guilin.

Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting. The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes. One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds. Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

After comparing several hotels, we finally chose this one, and it exceeded our expectations! The value for money is outstanding. Firstly, the location is perfect – peaceful yet central. Just 100 meters to the left is the Twin Pagodas scenic area, and Elephant Trunk Hill is only about 1 km away on foot. What really stood out were the excellent hotel facilities and service quality. My child actually loved staying in the room and napping for two afternoons straight (though adjusting to the time difference after returning home also played a role). My child is very particular about hotel stays, so her satisfaction is rare; in Shanghai, she only stays at The Puli Hotel. The hotel's dining was incredibly impressive. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary local specialty, Beer Fish (valued at 98 yuan). The ingredients were fresh and it was deliciously prepared – fantastic! We ended up ordering all our subsequent meals from the hotel restaurant. I checked, and the hotel restaurant ranks number one locally on Dazhong (Dianping)! Highly recommended! This is the king of value-for-money hotels in Guilin!

This hotel exceeded all my expectations; it's more like a one-stop resort complex than just a hotel. **Food:** As a seasoned foodie, the dining experience is always my top priority, and this place truly delivered with a different menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, but my heart will forever belong to their Guilin rice noodles. Made to order, served with a spoonful of secret braised sauce, fried soybeans, and pickled long beans – the flavor was absolutely divine! I had to have two bowls to truly satisfy my craving. It's also worth noting that the soy milk during breakfast is freshly ground, incredibly smooth, and full of natural soybean flavor, tasting just like homemade. Pairing that with a freshly brewed coffee while enjoying the view by the window was such a relaxing and therapeutic experience. **Photography:** Another hidden gem of my stay was the complimentary travel photoshoot. I initially just planned to snap a few pictures for memories, but the photographer was excellent at directing, and the compositions were fantastic. What truly impressed me was the post-processing. When I received the photos, I noticed only subtle adjustments to lighting and color, with my skin texture beautifully preserved. There was no over-editing or artificial beautification; it looked natural and very high-end. **Unexpected Delights:** The hotel's most unique feature is surprisingly its cormorant birds! Due to my schedule, I unfortunately missed seeing them, which was a bit of a shame. They also offer intangible cultural heritage craft experiences! **Butler service is available 24 hours.**

Facilities: The rooftop infinity pool is incredibly photogenic, and there's a children's park right outside the door that my kids absolutely loved. The room even had children's books, which they were instantly engrossed in. Cleanliness: The room was spotless, and the bedding was super comfortable—I slept like a baby. Ambiance: The decor was very whimsical and kid-friendly; the floor mat and tent in the room were my children's favorites. Service: The front desk staff were friendly, responsive, and paid attention to the small details, making for a fantastic experience. I was so satisfied with my first stay that I immediately booked another hotel from the same brand for our trip to Yangshuo the next day.

I really love this hotel. I stumbled upon it during a road trip and ever since, I bring my family here a few times every year. The rooms, environment, service, hot springs, and even the surrounding restaurants are all excellent. My favorite is the large suite; the views are fantastic, and the room itself is great, which is why I always book this room type. However, I have to give a bad review for room 512 in Building B this time. 1. **Awful smell in the hot springs.** After the apartments next to the hotel were developed, the foot traffic increased, and I understand it gets busy during Chinese New Year. However, the facilities and service severely lagged behind. This visit was after the holiday rush, on a weekday. I checked in at 2 PM, went for a swim in the pool, and then headed up the mountain to the hot springs. To my dismay, several pools on the mountainside reeked of a foul odor. It was so bad I didn't even consider getting in. I went straight to the mountaintop, and the area around the mountaintop pool also had this disgusting smell. My mood was instantly ruined, and I went back to my room. Is it reasonable to change the water once a day with normal traffic, and still only once a day when the New Year traffic doubles? The pools already stank by 2 PM. Is this my first day's hotel experience? Don't tell me it's a natural smell from the hot springs; I've been here many times, and it's never smelled like this, not even the next morning when I went for a dip. 2. **No bath towels.** I came out of the 24-degree pool looking for a bath towel. All the way to the hot stone therapy area on the mountaintop, there wasn't a single dry towel. Finally, I saw a transport cart going up the mountain, so I went over and spoke to the driver. I ended up moving a stack of towels from the cart myself and putting them in the towel cabinet before I could get one. If this were a child, they would have caught a cold by then. 3. **Lack of service.** In the changing rooms and the mountaintop food court, all the tables and chairs were piled with garbage, and used towels were strewn everywhere. Absolutely no one was cleaning up. I finally found a clean table at the very edge of the newly opened food court, closest to area C. All my good spirits were gone. During holidays, there's heavy foot traffic, and fewer staff. For customers, the room rate is higher, but the experience is significantly worse. 4. **Outdated room facilities.** With my mood already ruined and unable to enjoy the hot springs, I could only go back to the room. My child wanted to watch TV, but the TV was as slow and laggy as something from 20 years ago. It's been 26 years, seriously! A smart TV doesn't cost much. Even the staff admitted they don't watch TVs like that. Then my wife needed to charge her phone, and both bedside outlets were broken, showing signs of having short-circuited. This is a serious fire and electrocution hazard. When I went to shower, the showerhead sprayed water everywhere, drenching me. And in such a large suite, one Wi-Fi hotspot couldn't even cover it. The Wi-Fi signal was completely dead near the hot spring pool and the toilet. This is a 1700 RMB room, and over 2000 RMB during holidays. If it were a 300 RMB guesthouse, I wouldn't complain, but for a 2000 RMB room, are these facilities acceptable?

The location is quiet yet convenient for getting around, not too noisy but still easily accessible. **Cleanliness**: Very clean. **Ambiance**: The overall environment feels high-quality and worth the price. It's not like those regular guesthouses that jack up prices to over a thousand during peak season but have cheap decor. **Breakfast**: A rich variety of options, the rice noodles were delicious, and the corn juice was great. **Service**: Everyone was excellent, always greeting you when they saw you. Highly recommend.

Facilities: The facilities are very new and comprehensive, and they even have robots delivering meals, which is incredibly thoughtful. Cleanliness: It's very clean, which gives you peace of mind. Environment: It's located right above MixC, making it convenient to go anywhere. Service: Ms. Elva was patient and meticulous throughout, explaining everything wonderfully. Guangxi Specialty ”Gongwenbao” Welcome Drink: So delicious! A must-try when in Nanning! This trip was for a business trip. I stayed at the same place for the working days, but I decided to extend my stay by one more day before heading back, wanting to experience Nanning's tallest hotel. Shangri-La is a well-established brand; the first 5-star hotel I ever stayed in was a Shangri-La. I was pleasantly surprised this time after booking when a staff member, Ms. Elva, directly escorted me from the front desk to the Horizon Club lounge for VIP reception. She also upgraded my room type, giving me a more expansive view and greater comfort. During the reception, she gave me a Guangxi ”Gongwenbao” fruit tea and a bag of Luosifen! After entering the room, she meticulously explained how to use everything, which was very thoughtful and responsible! It's a pity that I caught a cold and had a fever the day before checking in this time. Besides ordering takeout once and having breakfast the next morning, I didn't get to properly enjoy the other facilities, which is a bit of a regret. However, having regrets means there's a next time to make it perfect. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the near future! 😊

AAbuzabi-kakaMy first time in Guilin, and my ten-day stay here has been wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuine care from every single staff member. My day always started pleasantly with the buffet breakfast at 'Li Café' on the first floor. They offer not only a rich international feast but also authentic Guilin rice noodles and other local specialties. Nick Liang and his team are always hands-on, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly. Disy Chen from the Horizon Club is incredibly enthusiastic, always anticipating guests' needs, and her attention to detail makes you feel like family. Anna Quan from housekeeping on the 7th floor exemplifies Shangri-La's meticulous service. Her thoughtful and detailed care makes the room a truly relaxing sanctuary. Concierge staff proactively open doors and handle luggage, always with a genuine smile, as if welcoming a family member home from a long journey. The service is seamless. Our hotel boasts a massive 'Twin Camphor Garden' right by the river. The gardening staff not only maintain the plants beautifully but also greet guests with a warm smile, making you feel very welcome. The back garden also features a mini zoo, which is cleaned meticulously every morning with no unpleasant odors, showing the hotel's care for every little creature. If you're looking for a warm and genuinely touching place to stay in Guilin, this is absolutely the ideal choice.

GGuest UserOur stay was excellent! My mom kept raving about how clean the hotel was, the spacious room, and the great service. We originally booked a room in Building B, but the front desk staff upgraded us to Building A because we had a lot of luggage and my mom is older. Building A has an elevator, which was very convenient. The room had a lovely minimalist, natural wood style – exactly what I like – and a small balcony. The balcony faced the mountains, so the air was fresh, and we could hear birds chirping. My mom and I really enjoyed sitting out there and having tea. There's a huge rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the mountains and the river. The hotel is super close to West Street, about a 30-meter walk, but despite West Street being bustling, the hotel itself was very quiet. I'd definitely stay here again next time and recommend it to my friends. Overall, a fantastic experience! It's also very close to all the surrounding scenic spots.

GGuest UserBooked Yangshuo with my bestie, and this hotel was a delightful surprise! 🏊 Pool: The infinity pool with mountain views was absolutely stunning. Even though it was a bit chilly in March and we didn't swim, taking photos by the pool was beautiful enough. 📷 Photos: The hotel offers free Zhuang ethnic costumes, and there's a good variety. We changed into two different outfits and spent two hours taking photos in the common areas. 🍰 Afternoon Tea: The complimentary afternoon tea upon check-in was generous, and both the cake and coffee were good. 🚗 Transportation: The hotel is located within the Ten-Mile Gallery, and getting a taxi in and out was quite convenient. It's about a 15-minute drive to West Street. You can also rent electric scooters near the hotel; during the off-season, it was 30 yuan for a day. Service: Our butler asked for our arrival time in advance and helped us secure a higher floor room. After checking out, we stored our luggage to go rafting. When we came back to pick up our bags, the front desk even gave us some bottled water, saying it was for our journey – very thoughtful. The only minor complaint: the afternoon tea tableware wasn't very cohesive, so it didn't look super refined in photos, haha. But the taste was good. Overall, highly recommended, good value for money.

SSeet-HutterThis hotel directly overlooks the picturesque Li River where you can witness the fishermen's bamboo rafts with their cormorants anchored to the promenade. It's a popular spot for tourists in their hired period costumes trying to achieve the most photogenic shot of Yangshuo's world-renowned karst mountains. The hotel's roof terrace on the fifth floor offers uninterrupted vistas of this stunning landscape. The hotel's buffet breakfast is great value for its price and comes highly recommended. The hotel rooms are spacious and even those which face inwards look out to a leafy courtyard with pretty fountains. The staff, from the chambermaids to the lady at the guest laundry, were all super helpful. Special thanks to Maya/沫沫 at the front desk who devised an excellent itinerary for our private excursion with a driver. Equally outstanding was Lacey/橙子, also at the reception. She was very accommodating to the multiple requests of hotel guests, and in a truly earnest rather than perfunctory manner. Both of them are assets to the service industry. The hotel's attention to detail in terms of its interior design is laudable : the concept of Yangshuo's landscape is visually captured throughout the hotel - from the nameplate at its entrance to the signage of the room numbers, they all feature symbolic silhouettes of those iconic karst mountains and the fishermen with their cormorants. One suggestion to the hotel's management is for them to provide an English language news channel on their television : in view of the increasing foreign clientele, it is indeed glaring that even their national CGTN news channel is not available.

KKnanjueI came to Yangshuo for hiking, but decided to stay in Guilin. This hotel, which boasts '100 views,' is truly excellent. Service: The front desk staff were warm and hospitable. They personally escorted me to my room and explained the services available. Facilities: The bed was huge, a very big king-sized bed that I could lie across. Environment: Opening the window revealed the Sun and Moon Pagodas, offering unbeatable views both day and night. Staying here, one should have no worries. When I left, the manager even gave me a small gift of essential oil. All in all, my trip to Guilin was very pleasant 😊

We went for a walk and realized how easy it was to find, with hotel signs at every intersection. The surrounding scenery is definitely worth exploring. We booked a family room which was spacious and comfortable, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a beautiful mountain view. There was also a small tent, which our child absolutely loved! AAiruisiBringing my child to Xingping Ancient Town, I was incredibly lucky to have picked this hotel. If you're looking for a peaceful escape within a scenic area and a relaxing time with your kids, this place is an absolute gem. 1. It's just a few minutes' walk from the famous 20-yuan banknote photo spot and only about a hundred meters from the Li River. The location is absolutely fantastic. 2. The hotel itself is incredibly photogenic; every corner is a picture-perfect spot. The rooftop boasts a beautiful landscape pool, and on the ground floor, there's a shallow children's pool which the kids absolutely adored. I heard from the owner that the pool uses natural well water, making it even better. 3. The room decor is fantastic, featuring a large bathtub, electric curtains, and a very comfortable bed. The shower water was nice and hot, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning mountain views. I absolutely loved it! 4. Breakfast is a buffet, offering Guilin rice noodles, congee, and bread – all very delicious. The dining environment and service were also excellent. 5. My only minor complaint is that traffic within the scenic area can be quite congested.

GGuest UserThis was by far the most satisfying homestay experience I've had. Firstly, 1. The location is excellent, right by the Li River, about 600 meters from Chaobanshan Pier and 900 meters from the 20 Yuan banknote photo spot. It's also 2 KM along the riverside boardwalk from the perfect photography spot for the Reflection of Yellow Cloth, offering stunning views with fewer crowds. 2. The cleanliness rivals a five-star hotel. Every nook and cranny was spotless, and the room was thoughtfully equipped with amenities like alcohol wipes and a laundry basin. 3. The rustic decor is incredibly charming, and the hostess is very welcoming. She helped carry our luggage to the room and provided fruits, ginger tea, and other refreshments in the lobby, along with detailed travel tips (she had already sent us an itinerary and important notes beforehand). We arrived during a cold, rainy spell, and she warned us that the bamboo raft ride would be chilly, even preparing raincoats, padded jackets, and hats for us. Without them, we surely would have caught a cold. Thanks to her, our trip was very enjoyable with no unpleasant surprises. 4. While the hotel breakfast isn't lavish, it's very thoughtfully prepared. The rice noodles, yogurt, and dumplings were all delicious and satisfying. We also had dinner at the hotel, and the food was good and reasonably priced. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and enjoyable trip. We'd definitely come back if we have the chance.
