Hotel near Five Star Street/People's Square,Liuzhou 24% of visitors choose this area

The hotel is new and the service is excellent. It's very convenient, and they even thoughtfully provided disposable bath bags and toilet seat covers. Downstairs, you're right by the river, and next to a night market with street food and a pedestrian street. You absolutely have to try the complimentary wheat bran hair wash – it seems to be a specialty of Liuzhou, with hair salons everywhere. I paid extra for the family combo, which was incredibly comfortable and great value for money. The travel photos turned out amazing, highly recommended! The family room was on the 2nd floor. I thought for such a high price, we'd get a higher floor with a river view, but the upside was that the kids' ball pit was right outside the door, and my child had a fantastic time. The floor-to-ceiling windows at the 12th-floor bar and the outdoor balcony at the 13th-floor restaurant offer a great view of the musical fountain at night, helping you avoid the crowds downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel gets busy, and the restaurant is a bit small, so there were no tables available during breakfast peak hours. If I get the chance to visit Liuzhou again, I'll definitely stay at the Wyndham.

The hotel looks good in photo but less so in person. The view is as advertised, but the interior detailing in the hotel room is not up to the standard of a premium hotel. The condition of the pools and some of the other amenities in the hotel remind me of an abandoned water park. The hotel has 8 buildings. The room you book is likely not the one you saw on social media. Your experience with the room may vary depending in the building you are in. The hotel location is also a bit out of the way. Fortunately there is complementary shuttle service and paid scooter rental. Overall, it was still a good experience (because of the view). We were just a bit disappointed with the room condition.

This hotel's location is absolutely perfect! Right downstairs, you're on the famous ZhengYang Pedestrian Street. Across the way is DongXiang, and just a short walk through the pedestrian street brings you to Elephant Trunk Hill and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area. It's incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. The room itself was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The service was thoughtful and attentive, and the rooftop view is simply stunning. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the facilities are comprehensive. The value for money is unbeatable! I'll definitely choose Gangshe Hotel again on my next trip to Guilin.

Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting. The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes. One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds. Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

After comparing several hotels, we finally chose this one, and it exceeded our expectations! The value for money is outstanding. Firstly, the location is perfect – peaceful yet central. Just 100 meters to the left is the Twin Pagodas scenic area, and Elephant Trunk Hill is only about 1 km away on foot. What really stood out were the excellent hotel facilities and service quality. My child actually loved staying in the room and napping for two afternoons straight (though adjusting to the time difference after returning home also played a role). My child is very particular about hotel stays, so her satisfaction is rare; in Shanghai, she only stays at The Puli Hotel. The hotel's dining was incredibly impressive. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary local specialty, Beer Fish (valued at 98 yuan). The ingredients were fresh and it was deliciously prepared – fantastic! We ended up ordering all our subsequent meals from the hotel restaurant. I checked, and the hotel restaurant ranks number one locally on Dazhong (Dianping)! Highly recommended! This is the king of value-for-money hotels in Guilin!

This hotel exceeded all my expectations; it's more like a one-stop resort complex than just a hotel. **Food:** As a seasoned foodie, the dining experience is always my top priority, and this place truly delivered with a different menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, but my heart will forever belong to their Guilin rice noodles. Made to order, served with a spoonful of secret braised sauce, fried soybeans, and pickled long beans – the flavor was absolutely divine! I had to have two bowls to truly satisfy my craving. It's also worth noting that the soy milk during breakfast is freshly ground, incredibly smooth, and full of natural soybean flavor, tasting just like homemade. Pairing that with a freshly brewed coffee while enjoying the view by the window was such a relaxing and therapeutic experience. **Photography:** Another hidden gem of my stay was the complimentary travel photoshoot. I initially just planned to snap a few pictures for memories, but the photographer was excellent at directing, and the compositions were fantastic. What truly impressed me was the post-processing. When I received the photos, I noticed only subtle adjustments to lighting and color, with my skin texture beautifully preserved. There was no over-editing or artificial beautification; it looked natural and very high-end. **Unexpected Delights:** The hotel's most unique feature is surprisingly its cormorant birds! Due to my schedule, I unfortunately missed seeing them, which was a bit of a shame. They also offer intangible cultural heritage craft experiences! **Butler service is available 24 hours.**

If 100 points is a perfect score for a hotel experience, I wouldn't hesitate to give 'Poetry & Faraway · Xiangshan Youyue Hotel' 200 points! This stay went far beyond 'exceeding expectations' – it was simply perfect. The facilities are impeccable: The room was spacious and bright, with stylish and tasteful decor. The biggest surprise was the super-sized bathtub; bath time became the most enjoyable part of my day. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided both soft and firm pillows to cater to different sleeping preferences – attention to detail at its finest! The restaurant is on the 9th floor, with a stunning outdoor pool just outside. Enjoying breakfast while admiring the beautiful view was pure bliss. Smart and convenient: The room was equipped with a smart 'Xiaodu' speaker, making voice control incredibly convenient. Food deliveries were brought directly to our door by an adorable robot, which was both efficient and fun. There's also a self-service laundry room near the rooms, which is a lifesaver for long-term travelers. But the service is truly the trump card: From the moment we checked in and added the butler on WeChat, we felt incredibly well taken care of. Any request we had was met with an immediate response and solution from the butler. What touched me most was an incident during breakfast today: an elderly person accidentally knocked over their tray, spilling food everywhere. The staff present didn't show any hesitation or displeasure; they rushed over immediately to comfort the startled elder, repeatedly asking if they were hurt, and swiftly and quietly cleaned up the mess. The entire process was filled with genuine concern. This kind of heartfelt kindness and professionalism is more precious than any luxurious facility. It was raining when we checked out, and the front desk staff proactively offered us disposable raincoats. This constant thoughtfulness made our whole family feel incredibly warm. Even our child was clamoring, ”I don't want to go to the next stop, I just want to keep staying here!” This wasn't just a stay; it was an experience filled with warm memories. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, heartfelt accommodation!

After more than half a year, I revisited Xixi, and it was as wonderful as ever. Everything from the environment to hygiene, service, and food deserves a five-star rating. (It would be even better if the room had a small step stool for toddlers to wash up, as my little one can't reach the sink even on tiptoes 😂). Since we booked a three-day, two-night stay, the housekeeping staff came to clean and restock items on the second morning. When they saw we had two children, they immediately went back out and brought us four cups of calming yogurt, saying the extra two were for the kids. They also doubled the amount of fruit. It was truly thoughtful! A big shout-out to these two aunties from housekeeping 👍. This stay not only provided us with attentive service but also a huge surprise: the hot spring area had expanded significantly, with many more small pools! During certain times, our family could even have a private pool all to ourselves to play around without worrying about sharing with others. This was the biggest highlight! Plus, the pools were very clean. I even saw the same pool drained, disinfected, and cleaned twice in one day. This level of hygiene made us feel much more at ease and happy while soaking 😊.

The rooms were clean and comfortable for families. The kids' play area was spacious, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant and quiet. Located within the Yulong River Park, the scenery was picturesque and vibrant, especially in spring. The service was attentive and genuinely warm, not forced at all. Communication with the front desk via WeChat was prompt, and they did their best to accommodate all our requests, including a late check-out, which was very much appreciated. We'll definitely be back!

The high-rise experience was absolutely perfect! From the lobby to the room, everything felt like it was in the clouds. The 270° panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows framed the beautiful Nanning scenery right into the room. The facilities are top-notch, and Aurelia the butler provided excellent service; she even prepared a small cake for me when she found out it was my birthday, which was incredibly thoughtful. The service from Lexi, Colin, Jenna, and Ally was also great. I'll definitely be back in a couple of days!

LLongnvfeimaStayed at the Shangri-La Guilin for 3 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. Coming from the north, I wasn't quite used to the local temperatures, and it felt a bit chilly when trying to sleep at night. The staff promptly brought a space heater and also refilled our room with plenty of drinking water. Their excellent service really warmed me up! The hotel was full of New Year's cheer, even setting up a lovely spot for family photos. The most unique feature was that they organized different activities for guests every day, so even if you didn't leave the hotel, you could still have a great time. I'll definitely choose Shangri-La again for my next trip to Guilin.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, nestled between mountains and water. Exit the alley, and you're right on West Street; behind the property is the mountain, and the back door leads directly to the old pier. The decor is rustic and charming, the common areas are spacious, and the tea room has a wonderful ambiance. The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful – seeing I was with an elder, they proactively upgraded us to a larger room!

SSeet-HutterThis hotel directly overlooks the picturesque Li River where you can witness the fishermen's bamboo rafts with their cormorants anchored to the promenade. It's a popular spot for tourists in their hired period costumes trying to achieve the most photogenic shot of Yangshuo's world-renowned karst mountains. The hotel's roof terrace on the fifth floor offers uninterrupted vistas of this stunning landscape. The hotel's buffet breakfast is great value for its price and comes highly recommended. The hotel rooms are spacious and even those which face inwards look out to a leafy courtyard with pretty fountains. The staff, from the chambermaids to the lady at the guest laundry, were all super helpful. Special thanks to Maya/沫沫 at the front desk who devised an excellent itinerary for our private excursion with a driver. Equally outstanding was Lacey/橙子, also at the reception. She was very accommodating to the multiple requests of hotel guests, and in a truly earnest rather than perfunctory manner. Both of them are assets to the service industry. The hotel's attention to detail in terms of its interior design is laudable : the concept of Yangshuo's landscape is visually captured throughout the hotel - from the nameplate at its entrance to the signage of the room numbers, they all feature symbolic silhouettes of those iconic karst mountains and the fishermen with their cormorants. One suggestion to the hotel's management is for them to provide an English language news channel on their television : in view of the increasing foreign clientele, it is indeed glaring that even their national CGTN news channel is not available.

TTongzhouyouyuChoosing the Li River Bo Yin Hotel's Two Rivers and Four Lakes branch was truly the best decision of this trip to Guilin! It perfectly captured the poetic essence of Guilin's landscapes and the relaxed vibe of a vacation. I'm completely won over after just one stay and will definitely be coming back to this hotel every time I visit Guilin! First, let's talk about its unparalleled location – it's an absolute winner! The hotel is tucked away in the core area of the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic zone. Step out and you're on the Fir Lake boardwalk. It's a 1-minute walk to the Sun and Moon Pagodas, 5 minutes to Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area, and just over ten minutes to Zheng Yang Pedestrian Street, East and West Alleys, and Jingjiang Prince City. The pier for the Two Rivers and Four Lakes night cruise is right outside the hotel. No need for taxis or rushing around; attractions are right outside your door, and stunning views await back in your room. It's a godsend for lazy travelers, keeping all of Guilin's highlights within walking distance. Next, the captivating views – it truly feels like living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting! I booked a lake view room, and the moment I opened the door, I was absolutely amazed. The oversized viewing balcony faces the Sun and Moon Pagodas directly, and the floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the room frame the lake and mountain scenery perfectly. In the morning, watch the mist drift over the lake as boats gently glide past your window. In the evening, sit on the balcony and watch the sunset paint the karst mountains and lake a golden red. At night, when the pagodas light up, reflecting their glow on the water, you can just sit, feel the breeze, and all the travel fatigue simply melts away. What touched me the most was the ever-present, thoughtful service, completely like having a personal butler. From the moment we got out of the car, the staff proactively helped with luggage, and check-in was super fast and hassle-free. Our butler proactively provided a local Guilin travel guide, offering helpful tips to avoid tourist traps and detailing attraction opening hours. Fresh welcome fruits were already in the room, and the complimentary minibar drinks and snacks were restocked daily. When we returned from sightseeing at night, the turndown service had already been done. The biggest surprise was when we casually left some clothes in the laundry room, and the staff kindly collected, washed, and ironed them before returning them to our room. Before we left, they even gave us local Osmanthus cakes and soothing essential oils – the attention to detail was incredible. There were no shortcomings in the hotel's amenities or dining either! The rooftop infinity pool and Cloud Restaurant are a must-visit. The pool offers direct views of Guilin's old city and mountains, perfect for stunning photos. At the Cloud Restaurant, with its panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, you can enjoy authentic Guilin rice noodles for breakfast while taking in the scenic mountains and rivers – that's the kind of ritual you should experience in Guilin. The beer fish and Osmanthus five-flavor duck for dinner were also incredibly authentic. No need to go out and fight crowds at popular restaurants; you can enjoy genuine Guilin flavors right here at the hotel. In addition, there's a gym with lake views, a quiet reading area, a kids' club, and a spa, all fully equipped. You won't get bored even if you spend a whole day just at the hotel. The hotel truly lives up to its name, “Bo Yin” (隐 meaning hidden or secluded). It’s in the bustling city yet remarkably serene, perfectly blending the elegance of Guilin's landscapes with the comfort of a high-end resort. It's super suitable for couples, families, or friends traveling together. I sincerely recommend it to all my friends coming to Guilin; staying here will definitely double the happiness of your trip!

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied! The hotel management is very professional, and every staff member is incredibly warm and welcoming. The hotel's location is excellent, truly central. We went for a walk and realized how easy it was to find, with hotel signs at every intersection. The surrounding scenery is definitely worth exploring. AAiruisiBringing my child to Xingping Ancient Town, I was incredibly lucky to have picked this hotel. If you're looking for a peaceful escape within a scenic area and a relaxing time with your kids, this place is an absolute gem. 1. It's just a few minutes' walk from the famous 20-yuan banknote photo spot and only about a hundred meters from the Li River. The location is absolutely fantastic. 2. The hotel itself is incredibly photogenic; every corner is a picture-perfect spot. The rooftop boasts a beautiful landscape pool, and on the ground floor, there's a shallow children's pool which the kids absolutely adored. I heard from the owner that the pool uses natural well water, making it even better. 3. The room decor is fantastic, featuring a large bathtub, electric curtains, and a very comfortable bed. The shower water was nice and hot, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning mountain views. I absolutely loved it! 4. Breakfast is a buffet, offering Guilin rice noodles, congee, and bread – all very delicious. The dining environment and service were also excellent. 5. My only minor complaint is that traffic within the scenic area can be quite congested.

GGuest UserI was a guest staying with my 1.5-year-old baby, two elderly parents, and my husband who only joined for meals. I'm very grateful to the owner and staff for their warm service. The hotel's decor and materials are high quality, the in-room amenities are excellent, and the cleanliness is meticulous, making it feel almost as comfortable as home. Because of the rain, we basically just ate all our meals at the hotel – three main meals and one breakfast. My child is in the transition phase from purees to solid food, so ordering food out is usually quite a hassle. However, the hotel perfectly understood my needs and prepared a mini version of baby noodles. We checked out in the morning but our high-speed train wasn't until the evening, so we spent most of the afternoon sheltering from the rain in the hotel lobby. My baby rode the wooden horse, watched the goldfish, climbed the stairs, read picture books, and played with toys. I have to say, the hotel has so many props that it kept my baby entertained for three or four hours! 😂 During this time, I saw the owner constantly handling various personalized requests from guests, and also frequently checking on my baby's safety – they worked incredibly hard. Upon departure, they even offered airport/station drop-off service and complimentary fruit. To sum it up, this hotel essentially provides everything you need for a trip, except for tourist attractions themselves. I wish the owner's hotel continued success. As a suggestion for consideration, if the space and cost are suitable, you might think about expanding into travel photography and costume/makeup services. After all, on rainy days, many people don't want to change clothes in those roadside shops, and the hotel's environment is much better.

MM893162****This was my second visit to Yangshuo, and I spotted this highly-rated guesthouse on Ctrip. After several years, I'd completely lost my bearings regarding its location. I took a bus from Xingping Ancient Town to the Ten-Mile Gallery and then a taxi to the guesthouse. Initially, I was quite anxious, thinking I had booked somewhere very remote. I worried I might have made a bad choice on the way. On the first night, I was too tired to appreciate the scenery and fell asleep immediately. Waking up on the second day was incredibly therapeutic! And it wasn't remote at all! In fact, it's right near the Gongnong Pier of the Yulong River Scenic Area, with the guesthouse facing the Big Banyan Tree Scenic Area. Before my trip, I saw a November review mentioning ongoing renovations next door. But once we arrived, the staff kindly arranged a room for us furthest from the renovation building. With the soundproof windows, it wasn't an issue at all! We definitely extended our stay! The owner didn't actively recommend their homemade dishes; it was actually an auntie renting out bikes outside who suggested them. The food turned out to be an amazing surprise! We ended up eating there for two consecutive days and didn't dine out at all. I even hope to try the rest of their dishes on my next visit! They also have two adorable chubby cats, Coke and Pear, who are super friendly and don't mind being petted. I was so reluctant to leave when it was time to go home. I hope the guesthouse continues to thrive. See you again soon!
