Romantic Hotels in Guizhou, China

Me and my girlfriend got picked up at Congjiang train station which was very convenient. Right from the start the owners of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation is located at the back of the village next to a field where they grow rapeseed flowers and rice during the year. For us the location was perfect as it is very peaceful and quiet but simultaneously litterally a few steps away from the beautiful vibrant little village. The room was very spacious and clean with a gorgeous view on the field. The interior is very well matched and has great facilities. There was even a small laundry machine so we could do some laundry ourselves. So far during our travels in China, this stay was the best we had! There is a very stylish and cute coffee/restaurant located on the first floor of the building. This is also where you will have a delicious breakfast and where Ni Li and her sister will greet you with a smile every time you walk by. Ni Li, her husband Tao Mingqing, her sister and brother played a crucial part during our stay as after the first night my wife got very sick due to an infection and barely left the room during our stay. The second night I got foodpoisoning which made the situation even worse. (Not from the hotel!). We ended up extending our stay due to her condition. Luckily Li's English is very good so that helped us a lot in navigating the medical difficulties. We were extremely lucky to be staying with Li and her family as they took care of us like we were their own family. Preparing custom meals and dinner tailored to our needs every single day, preparing us tea, calling the local doctors and translating and taking us to the local hospital back and forth multiple times. We were there during the Qingming festival so no cars were allowed in the village which made it more difficult to reach the hospital. This didn't stop Tao Mingqing as he took us to the local hospital several times on the motorbike, one by one! The last time I even forgot a bag and he even went back to get it for me! He truly is a legend. Fortunately, my recovery was fairly quickly so I had the chance to explore the village a little by myself and spend time with Li and Ming while staying close to the room for my girlfriend. On day 4 my girlfriend's fever was coming down and she improved a little. Li and Ming invited us to have tea with them. Ming showed me his vast collection of tea and made sure to prepare the best tea suitable for our condition. The tea was truly amazing and he ended up filling a big bag with different kinds of teas as a gift for us! And that was not it, to make sure we would never forget them and drink tea mindfully the Chinese way when we're back home, they gave us the tea cups we used traditionally decorated with the blue dragon and phoenix. It was a very stressful situation and when we felt at our most fragile, they were there to take care of us, strangers they just met. This says everything about these wonderful people. Even though the illness of my girlfriend and the rough situation, we think back to our stay with a very warm hearth as our special experience forged a bond we'll never forget. We are incredibly lucky to have met Li and her family. We have said thank you to them 100s of times already, but I can't express enough how grateful I am for this people. Thank you for taking care of us like your family!!! ＜3 If you are unsure about staying here, there is truly no reason why you shouldn't! Whatever the situation, Li and her family will do everything they can to improve your stay. I'm sure you'll have a blast!

Xijiang Surprise Mid-Mountain View B&B was a wonderful surprise! The environment is tranquil, surrounded by lush greenery, and the stilt-house design creates such an authentic atmosphere. The panoramic windows in the rooms offer incredible views; you can lie in bed and overlook the entire Miao village. In the evening, the sight of countless lights illuminating the village is breathtaking, and you don't even need to fight the crowds at the scenic viewpoints. What really stood out was the thoughtful hostess. She contacted us in advance to help with our itinerary, assisted us with our luggage upon arrival, and thoroughly explained the local attractions. She even proactively upgraded us to a room with an even better view, free of charge. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the communal terrace was perfect for photos. The service was gentle and attentive. With both amazing views and excellent service, staying here in Xijiang was absolutely a fantastic choice!

Hotel is in a perfect location to go Fangjinshan. Just cross the river and you are at entrance. The service is very good. I injured myself outside and they been very helpful with wheelchair and icecubes. The hotel also let us extend one more night because of my injury. Breakfast is just acceptable. View from room is beautiful. But can see the hotel is a bit old…Overall good stay!

The hotel's hardware is excellent, but its service and management get a zero. We checked in after 4 PM, and the room wasn't even ready yet. After it was finally cleaned, I walked in to find the previous guest's socks still sitting on the bedside table, as shown in picture one. It made me seriously doubt if they even cleaned it properly. The hotel's swimming pool is an Instagram hotspot, but because it's outsourced, the actual experience was a zero. There are no lockers! The entire changing room is as small as shown in picture two – that's it! The floor was covered in water and trash, and no one was cleaning it. There were no towels unless you paid 10 yuan for a disposable one, and no slippers unless you paid another 12 yuan. The breakfast was terrible, with very few options and no local specialties. Compared to other state guesthouses like the Wuxi Taihu Hotel, Nanjing Dongjiao Guesthouse, or Wuhan Donghu Hotel, the breakfast here was basically on par with a county government guesthouse. All in all, it's absolutely not worth the price. Booking the Zhijin Hotel was definitely the biggest regret of my Guizhou trip.

Welcome fruit and snacks as well as a mountaineering gift bag are provided when you check in. , compared with the environment and facilities, the price is very good. There is a business downstairs, which is very convenient for eating. What is particularly worth mentioning is the attentive and attentive reception at the hotel's front desk. It feels like a five-star hotel butler. It is recommended to stay here when visiting Fanjing Mountain. The price/performance ratio is excellent.

Highly recommend! We stayed here in April with our kids and everything about Zhaoxing Dong village and this hotel is so heartwarming and memorable! A trip we will remember forever! The owner is from Yunnan. He and all the staff are incredibly helpful, kind and friendly! Communication was clear before we arrived. They messaged us on WeChat and picked us up from the train station and brought our luggage to the hotel. The breakfast lady makes the most delicious soup noodle every morning and the hami melon is so sweet! Breakfast is served on the rooftop and the view in the morning is so serene as the town is still quiet. The hotel was even were so kind to make a bowl of soup noodle when our kids were not feeling well one evening. And the breakfast lady personally walked me to a local shop that sells handmade herbal shampoo to help promote healthy hair! I was so moved by her friendliness to share the towns local best kept secrets. There is a free green shuttle that picks up every few blocks within the town: this was very handy when traveling with kids who get tired from walking easily. This internet-famous guesthouse truly lives up to its reputation, with a total of 24 rooms. The biggest drawback is the number of stairs and the lack of an elevator, but everything else is excellent! Location: It's situated next to the Balinghe Bridge in Guanling, about a 15-20 minute drive from the main Huangguoshu scenic area. Ambiance: It's a popular guesthouse located in a small, charming village. The air is filled with the scent of mugwort. The 4th-floor observation deck is perfect for watching both sunsets and sunrises. You'll hear roosters crowing in the morning. Facilities: Be prepared to climb stairs, as the highest floor is the 4th. There is a dedicated luggage elevator for your bags. The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the air conditioning is powerful but a bit noisy (earplugs are provided by the hotel). There's a self-service laundry room with two washing machines and two dryers, along with laundry pods. Service: The butler-style service is prompt and friendly. I really appreciated the small farewell gift upon check-out. Cleanliness: Very good. Restaurant: They offer a buffet breakfast, à la carte lunch, and dinner requires advance ordering and reservation, with a notification when it's ready. The cocktails at the bar are excellent.

The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, accessible through the village, making it quieter than other guesthouses in the village. The rooms aren't very big, but the amenities and facilities are very comfortable. The heated clothesline is a thoughtful touch for this season. The cloth slippers provided by all Fengxi guesthouses are incredibly comfortable, and the felt tote bag is very practical for storing odds and ends in the car during long trips!

Traveling to Guizhou with my family, I chose this hotel after comparing several options, and the experience was great. The location is incredibly convenient; you can walk to Jiaxiu Tower and Wenchang Pavilion, saving you the hassle and cost of taxis. The high-floor rooms offer expansive views; leaning by the window to watch the city skyscrapers is truly amazing. The hotel's welcome tea was a thoughtful touch, considering Guizhou's humid climate and diet, as it was溫潤 (moistening) and helped cut through richness. Janice's service was attentive and discreet; she wasn't overly intrusive but was always quick to respond when needed. Overlooking Guiyang's night view from the clouds, all the fatigue from our journey instantly melted away.

Thanks to Trip.com for this wonderful hotel. All of us (4 pax) LOVED this hotel. Very strategically located amongst food centers, shops and local activities. Views from this hotel is fantastic...accentuated by the river and lights at night. Again, our stays exceeded the HIGH 5 Star ratings.... Ms Chen, Manager of the hotel is EXTREMELY helpful and resourceful in giving valuable suggestions thus making our stay, a delightful vacation. Well done, Ms Chen, an original Miao native and her efficient team, Ms Wu and others. Wonderful staff, including housekeeping... Definitely, will recommend to visit Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village and staying at Xijiang Story Resort Hotel is a Super Plus advantage.
