My stay at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort was truly touched by the exceptional service of my butler, Gama. She was always so gentle and patient, quietly arranging every detail with such thoughtfulness. No matter what I needed, she responded immediately and resolved it perfectly, without any perfunctoriness. This dedication brought a wonderful warmth to my high-altitude journey.

GGuest UserThe homestay is in the villa area, good parking, the room is very clean and tidy, the bath towels are disposable, there is an oxygen generator and humidifier, the facilities are complete, there is a cute little wood dog, the service attitude is good, it is recommended
GGuest UserBlindly picked this hotel in Lhasa and it was an absolute gem! Seriously recommending it to all first-timers in Tibet!
📍 Amazing Location
Super close to Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. You can just stroll there on foot. It's super convenient for exploring Barkhor Street and watching pilgrims. No need for constant taxis, saving time and effort, making travel a joy! 🚶♀️
🚗 Perfect for Drivers
The hotel has its own parking, which is a huge relief. After a long drive, you can just unload your luggage and check in – so convenient!
💨 Altitude Sickness Buster | 20-Hour Whole-Room Oxygen Supply
My biggest fear coming to Lhasa was not being able to sleep or getting headaches. This place offers a full 20 hours of continuous oxygen supply. The room felt well-oxygenated, not dry or stuffy. I slept soundly all night long ✨ with absolutely no altitude sickness. Woke up feeling refreshed and quickly recovered my energy 🙏.
💖 Full of Ritual and Warmth
The moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed! They thoughtfully offered a warm towel to wash away travel fatigue. They also presented a sacred Hada ✨, a beautiful ******* welcome with an amazing ambiance.
🧺 Hassle-Free Travel | Free Laundry Service
There’s a clean and tidy laundry room. They even help with washing and drying clothes. No worries about dirty clothes during your trip, traveling light is so comfortable!~
Overall, it offers great value for money, thoughtful details, and a comfortable stay. If you're visiting Lhasa, just book this place without hesitation. I'll definitely stay here again next time!
DDaoyiOut of all the hotels we stayed at during our 8-day, 7-night Tibet trip, the Shangri-La Lhasa was by far the best. Besides its beautiful Tibetan-style decor, what truly saved our trip was their medical room. We experienced severe altitude sickness on our second day. The hotel's medical room is staffed 24/7, and the experienced military doctor there provided us with treatment. Although the IV drip and oxygen were a bit pricey, the medicine worked wonders! The next day, all my altitude sickness symptoms – headache, weakness in limbs – were gone. We were able to smoothly continue our journey to higher altitudes like Mount Everest Base Camp. That medicine was truly miraculous!
CCaicaicwgHere's a breakdown of my experience:
**Transportation:** The hotel offers a dedicated shuttle service to popular attractions like the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel is also very close to the city center, and it only takes about 10 minutes to get around, making it super accessible.
**High-Quality Central Diffused Oxygen for 18 Hours:** The room comes with an 18-hour supply of medical-grade diffused oxygen, which is a lifesaver. It genuinely works wonders, highly recommended!
**Ambiance:** The hotel boasts a beautiful ******* manor-style design, complete with white stupas, golden prayer flags, and even traditional ******* clothing. You can take some stunning photos in the courtyard – it's truly picturesque and authentic.
**Service:** Every staff member was incredibly warm and attentive. They offered us Rhodiola rosea hot drinks during check-in and consistently checked in on us to see if we were experiencing altitude sickness. They even provided recommendations for our itinerary, showing genuine care and helpfulness. Highly recommended!
AAilvxingdexiaxiaojieWhen I first arrived in Lhasa, I stayed at Jicai, primarily because of its cleanliness and its proximity to the Potala Palace and Barkhor Street. My experience after checking in was excellent. After my trip to Nyingchi and Mêdog, I booked Jicai again. If you experience altitude sickness, the lobby provides an oxygen concentrator, and the rooms even have diffused oxygen supply.
I had wanted to try breakfast in Lhasa, so on my last day, I bought the hotel's breakfast and discovered their noodles (fen) are really good. I regretted not booking a room with breakfast included. If you're still debating whether to book breakfast, my advice is to go for it if you like sour and spicy noodles, because their breakfast noodles are delicious. Delicious, delicious!
Front desk service was good, and honestly, Jicai offers great value for money. Highly recommended.
BBubles~Service: The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. We had booked a twin room, but she proactively upgraded us to a family suite! The room was spacious and decorated with unique ethnic characteristics.
Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, even including a medical oxygen concentrator! They also provide nasal cannulas. Everything you could possibly need is available.
Environment: Excellent, and the soundproofing is good! There's also a Nepalese restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that many locals frequent, and hotel guests even get a discount! The hotel's location is also superb; it's only about a ten-minute walk to Jokhang Temple (at a leisurely pace, typical for Lhasa) and very close to the bus stop. There's also a delicious cold noodle shop right next to the hotel downstairs!
I would definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Lhasa!
GGuest UserWe stayed in Lhasa for quite a while, moving through three hotels. Overall, this hotel was excellent. The cleanliness and amenities were excellent. They provided Vaseline body lotion and toilet seats, which was very thoughtful. The breakfast was also very varied. The service was excellent, with complimentary fruit, Coke, and Wanglaoji. Two suggestions: the towels shed quite a bit, and the noise from the pool downstairs was quite loud at night. The front desk assistant, Cheng, was very patient in providing luggage storage.

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe dozens of century-old peach trees in the hotel are particularly beautiful against the backdrop of the snow-capped mountains and the Yarlung Zangbo River. Every step you take is a refreshing scene. The hotel is well-equipped, newly renovated, clean and tidy. The service is warm and thoughtful, and the butler is always on call. The food in the restaurant is especially delicious, and the stone pot chicken is so fragrant [色][色][色] Highly recommended. I stayed for two days, but the good times always passed by in a hurry [比心][比心][比心]
