Hotel was lovely in a good location and very clean. Rooms were cool design but the view from the external facing rooms was amazing! Worth spending it your there for a few nights.
I recently stayed at Barceló Sants Hotel and had an excellent experience. The hotel’s unique, space-inspired design stands out and makes for a memorable atmosphere. Conveniently located above Sants train station, it offers direct access to local and high-speed trains, making it easy to explore Barcelona and surrounding areas.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with thoughtful, futuristic touches and ambient lighting that create a relaxing mood. My room had an impressive view of the city, and the bed was especially comfortable, providing a great night’s rest after long days of sightseeing. Mo
In general, everything is correct. Huge room and extremely comfortable beds. However, we stayed in a Callaghan's Superior room, but without the details like the Colorado Creek Superior rooms (no bottled water, for example). It is noticeable that the quality of the hotel's food at dinner and breakfast has dropped a lot compared to other times we have stayed at the Gold River.
Stayed at W for my partners birthday and it was nothing less than perfect. Staff were great and the room absolutely lovely! We will definitely be going back !
I had high hopes for this ”4star hotel”
From the pictures and the previous reviews everything seemed like it was too good to be true...
Arrival was average, had to ask which way to go to get to my allocated room (normally you are directed by a member of reception atleast)
Arrived at my room (104) 1st floor.
Opened the door to a bright airy room..my first thoughts were this is lovely.
Dropped my bags and took a shower and that's where things started to go downhill...let me explain...
Now I am aware this is not 5 star but if im being totally honest I have stayed in cleaner 2 star hotels...
The attention to detail from the cleaners is just way below par for a 4 star establishment.
Shower door covered in limescale (easy to put right with a bit of Elbow grease)
Mold and nasties around the outer edge of the shower door (see pics)
Splash marks all over the tiles at the side of the sink (like old toothpaste marks)
Sink wouldn't drain properly (seemed to be blocked)
Skirting boards definitely hadn't been given a wipe for a good few weeks/months
All standard/basic stuff that you would expect from any hotel and certainly from a 4 star one or am I being picky?
Then there was the call to reception to ask for some milk so I could make a coffee (kettle is provided in room)
Receptionist said they don't have fresh milk only 'powdered sachets' of the most vile tasting milk I've ever had (think baby milk/gone off normal milk)
Apparently the restaurant was closed so they could not access it to get some fresh milk?
Receptionist advised me to go to the supermarket..which is a 25 minute walk from the hotel 🤦♀️
As it happens there is a coffee machine outside the reception entrance so I found myself nipping downstairs to buy one from there. (Not the most convenient but we move forward)
I had read that there was a rooftop restaurant in the flyer as advertised but when I asked about it apparently it is no longer there?
The restaurant is only open at breakfast times so no food is available not even snacks? However they advertise room service so unsure how that works?
Outdoor pools closed which is fine but you couldn't even sit on the loungers hence....nowhere to sit outside the hotel itself.
Such a shame that all these little things build and in turn let it down as a 4 star advertised hotel.
Now for the positives...
The view from the room of the sea is beautiful
It is literally across the road from miles of sandy beaches
There are a couple of lovely restaurants nearby that are open from 12 noon for brunch/dinner and reasonably priced.
The area itself is super quiet and feels safe enough as a solo traveller.
The hotel is located in the old town of the small town, and you can experience the life of the locals at close range. Close to the cathedral. There are free parking spaces around. Although the hotel is in the old city, the design is avant-garde and beautiful. Very warm and characteristic hotel. The small town is located between Tarragona and Salou, a 5-minute drive to Ferrari theme parks and PortAventura theme parks.
Hotel in a beautiful setting with beautiful views of the sea.Tennis field , swimming pool, ping-pong, badminton available .Small beach accessible below the hotel.Walking paths, golf and small village of Begur also nearby.Very Good breakfast .We will return to it!
Hi I stay in room 201, I don't recommend to anyone who bothers the noise, excessive noise of both walking customers, as well as of cleaning cars or cleaning staff that there is a room next to bed, and the extreme noise of a motor that I never know it was, I started to sound at 6am. I used a hearing phone. And the bed is two individuals, if they go in pair, those beds don't serve, Ah just that they go to sleep. I paid for a marriage and I received that double that I didn't want. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.
This is my second time staying at this hotel. There are obviously many guests on weekends. The rooms are comfortable, the service is friendly, there are plenty of parking spaces around, and it only takes five minutes to drive to the center of Salou. A very cost-effective hotel
The hotel environment is superb, breakfast is delicious 😋 Especially the Spanish ham is very authentic. The hotel staff is warm and the surrounding environment is beautiful. This hotel should be the best hotel around.

HHelenwee4nights stay in the hotel rated itself as 5-star where we find that is was overrated.
The hotel itself is definitely on the super great location just few minute walk from famous attraction point- Casa Batlló.
Very convenient for shopper and easy access to other spot of attractions.
The only one thing un-satisfactory on our stay is the centralized Air-conditioning system. We went on the cold season and the AC system was set on providing hot air in room only. Make complain to front desk and manage to off the hot air system but the best can do is switch to ventilation mood as there is no cold air option. Even so, our room was still hot and ended up we was slept with windows open so at least it was cooling at night but here come the problem of mosquitos enter to our room.
Apart from point above, our stay are still consider good and hopefully the management could look into the issue.
GGuest UserFrom BCN airport, we took the express bus to Plaza Catalonia. Then we walked a hood 15mins distance to the accommodation. It's not a full service hotel, some sort like an inn or hostel. We were mentally prepared to carry our luggage up the stairs but thankfully the building has a small elevator. The check in desk is located on the 4th floor so you have to ring the bell at the entrance for them to unlock the main door downstairs. Check in was fast. The size of the room is just right for 2 people to stay but the balcony is the highlight. All 3 staffs we met were friendly and very accommodating. It's easy to get around as the city bus stops and metro stations are just around the area.
RRuiSpacious room, only 2 of us but we got the like a 3pax room, 1 queen size bed and 1 single bed, and with fridge. Enough space to open 2 big luggages fully and still with moving space. Breakfast area got microwave so can heat up ur own food 7/24. 8-10mins to beach and historical places, 5mins to supermarkets, next to bus terminal. Comfort bed. Really enjoyable stay! And you can store ur luggage before check in / after check out.
