Hotel Kyocera is probably one of the largest hotel in Kirishima. It has two buildings ( main and annex) and looks quite good architecturally. They are connected by a bridge on the 3 floor which has the walking escalator- and a display of the various places that have been listed as world heritage sites in Japan.
Inside the main building, there is a glass church which is ideal for weddings. In the basement, there is a large onsen, and spa. It is certainly a good place for having a holiday. The overall condition of the rooms are good- and the rooms are of good size. My room faces the East and has a perfect view of sunrise!
There are two large parking lot and parking is free.

This hotel has been newly renovated.
It offers a magnificent view of Mount Takachiho.
The air was fresh, the hotel was clean, and the bedding was comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were very satisfying, but the beverage selection was a bit disappointing. The large public bath was spacious, so I enjoyed it leisurely.
But they brought a lot of older boys to the women's bath, which was a bit inconvenient. ^^;; Overall, I was satisfied!
The staff is very attentive and polite. The rooms are large and comfortable, with indoor and outdoor hot springs. At the same time, there is a public hot spring with high privacy and a peaceful environment to relax the body and mind. The food provided by the hotel is fresh and prepared carefully, and the quality of the food is very high quality and exquisite. It should be noted that the hotel check in time is 1530.
My sincerest gratitude to the professional service and helpfulness of the front desk staff in particular the Div. Manager, Mr. Atsuyoshi Kubota, who patiently search for available medical service during late hours for treating my wife's injury and also voluntarily arrange a staff to accompany us to the hospital. Ram Kumar, the accompanying staff, is instrumemental in our communication to the medical personnels and he is so kind to arrange late dinner for us at the hotel's discretion. They not only demonstrate the highest level of professionalism but also their genuine care of the well being of the customers.
Once again, big big thanks to Mr. Kubota and his team of beautiful people.
By the way, good breakfast and dinner, both in terms of the menu as well as service and venue.
Tatami room, traditional Japanese style such as quilt, dokonomama ceramic decoration, long-standing Japanese life memories, hot spring baths called source water, breakfast restaurants decorated with Satsuma ceramics and pretty ceramic tableware are calmly dressed I admire the Chinese table and the hearty staff, and everything was good, especially the dinner with the sister restaurant Guwoo, and the kind host couple who treated me sincerely!
A place I want to go again with my friends
Huge bath tub within the room. Slightly bigger room than japan's average because of that but living area is smaller as a result. There is a sofa in this room but that takes up the space for luggage. Overall pretty good. Just opppsite the jr station with underground access. Sakurajima was covered by clouds when I was there.
The room is genuinely cozy, sparkling clean, and feels like a new apartment. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Tenmonkan. The street downstairs is lined with nightclubs, so it's probably best not to return too late. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs and a local supermarket diagonally opposite, offering all sorts of fresh meat and vegetables. It was perfect for us to buy ingredients and use the room's kitchenware for a satisfying yakiniku or shabu-shabu meal. The local wagyu and kurobuta pork were incredibly fragrant and absolutely delicious! Check-in and check-out are fully self-service, which has its pros and cons. The advantage is the peace, quiet, and freedom it offers. However, the downside is that if it's raining and you need help calling a taxi, there's no staff member available to assist you. A taxi ride to Kagoshima-Chuo Station costs about 1000 yen. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the opportunity.
The hotel in the hotel has really been chosen for a long time. The picture data of Xiushui Park is pitiful, but watching the netizens comment on the banquet cuisine is its feature. As a foodie, we decided this one with the mentality of giving it a try. The result! I really like it!
Service: Regarding the service, it is really the details of traditional Japanese hotels. From the time we checked in, there was a pair of waiters to pick us up to the hot springs (private soup needs to cost about 100 yuan), take us to the restaurant (meal must be tried once, exquisite and delicious), The most surprising thing was my slippers (hairy slippers) were soaked by rain when I entered the door. I also joked to my husband that they would not see my shoes so wet and help me dry them, otherwise I would have to wear wet shoes the next day. The result went out the next morning! Really drying (because there is a small scale shrinking hahaha, so sure it is drying), then we ask any service they will not ask which room we are, their waiter will remember us, directly arrange everything for us, I have to experience it myself once, haha.
The room is not very big, but it is nice to have outdoor + indoor hot springs. However, there are many spider webs on the outdoor door. The food for one stay and two meals is not surprising. Roast meat is provided in the evening (mostly chicken, beef only) Beef tongue), only bread, ham, cheese, etc. are provided in the morning. Homemade flying saucer sandwiches are required, but the Japanese in the same place eat Japanese breakfast. Why is Japanese breakfast only provided to locals ×-×
This is my first leisure trip in 2025. That's a vey good experience trip with my wife.
A modern and comfortable lobby lounge area provided a nice coffee area for a easy breakfast before my day trip. On the final day, i enjoyed the full buffet breakfast and staffs were really helpful with that gave people nice day beginning.
Onsen provided me an refreshments daily and made me energetic, also relaxed me as happy ending.
I forgot the female staff who received my fruit on 14Jan night. She and her colleague assist us to prepare the fruit which purchased outside. It was my nice dessert that night.
Another memorable gentleman on 13Jan overnight, i was handling some business during overnight in sudden. Therefore, i went down lobby to complete it. He approached me for assistance and offering me help for wifi service.
For the design of lobby, this is very great to locate the front desk towards the main entrance and the most front line to welcome guest. The FO team need to perform the most professional and consistently services. Especially the cold weather, they keep a good image to maintain professional.
The shuttle bus driver was nice to take care us every evening back to hotel.
For the room reservation, we selected the room with beautiful view Sakurajima and i could enjoy my drip coffee myself to see the sun raise.
I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends.
