Loved this hotel. The location is great, and the staff were very helpful throughout my stay.
I got a room with a view of the parking lot, which wasn’t the best, but it was still fine. You can also open the window, which I really appreciated. The room wasn’t very big, but it was clean, and the bed was large and very comfortable. The layout was also well thought out — there was plenty of space to sit and enough convenient places to put your things.
My favorite part was definitely the onsen — just wow. There was one large indoor bath with an incredible city view (especially impressive since it’s on the top floor), and my absolute favorite was the smaller outdoor onsen. You could just lie back, look out over the city, and relax. What I especially loved was that even though it was cold outside, the water temperature was perfectly hot.
The rooftop pool was also fantastic. The water was heated, and the view from there was just as incredible.
The only downside for me was the number of people. There were a lot of tourists, so breakfast could get quite crowded, but if you go at the right time, it’s much better.
after opening time it will be ok.
Our stay at Yufuin ”Tano-kura” was absolutely flawless. First off, the service was truly top-notch. Our dedicated staff member (SIC) was incredibly professional and attentive, taking exceptional care of us throughout our visit. What really put us at ease was their meticulous attention to confirming food allergies, which allowed us to fully enjoy the exquisite and delicious cuisine without any worries. Every interaction, from the introduction to the hotel facilities to the meal service in our room, was handled with utmost politeness and respect.
The environment was impeccably clean and tidy, making for a wonderfully comfortable stay. This trip truly allowed us to relax completely; we left feeling fully recharged and revitalized. Our sincere thanks for such a perfect experience!
The environment here is great. Although it's a bit far, they offer shuttle service, so it's not a big issue. However, I was quite concerned about the cleanliness of the hot spring. It seemed that whenever I moved, a lot of black, white, and gray fibrous material would float up from the bottom of the pool. I even saw distinct small white feathers, possibly from birds? I understand that being in the mountains might lead to some influence from plants and animals, but there was clearly a lot settled at the bottom, suggesting it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned for a while. Many of the restaurant staff were from India or Pakistan, and most of the other guests I encountered were foreigners. The price isn't expensive, and the room is large, but the facilities are a bit old. The room's cleanliness was actually decent, it just felt a bit dated.
One of the best hotels during my stay in Kyushu region. Super comfortable and staffs are very welcoming. Room is spacious with a lot of walking space. Located next to Beppu Station and super accessible to nearby shops and everything, with a Lawson and Family Mart within 2 mins of walk. The best part of this hotel is the whole building is on tatami mats as it is my favorite.
There is 7 private onsens here so there's no need to rush for it although there might be a queue for it, but it queues for a short while only.
Will definitely come back here again if I visit Beppu and try other Onyado Nono in other regions.
This is our 2nd time to stay in this hotel. The 1st time was 10 years ago, the hotel guest rooms have renovated which is quite Modern. Love the new design. The Seaview is still spectacular. Bed and pillow are very comfortable. Onsan is located at basement , an highlight is there is Basket Robins ice cream machine is available 🙂
There is a night drink bar in the hotel at the lobby level, wines , coffee, soft drinks are served.
Breakfast area is spacious , western & Japanese food are served, donuts, pancakes , noodles, vege drinks , all you can choose.
The hotel is located on a mountain, offering stunning views. However, it would be quite inconvenient if you don't have a car. The room has its own hot spring bath and a balcony, providing a quiet and comfortable environment.
Had a very relaxing stay here. The place is super quiet and peaceful, and the staff were really nice and explained everything clearly.
We stayed for 2 nights with dinner included. The dinner set had good options, but you HAVE to try the cheesecake! It’s honestly the best I’ve ever had—so soft, rich, and moist. The portion was huge too!
The room was quite big and the hot spring was very comfy. Just a couple of small things: the view from the bath isn't much even with the door open, and the shower/tub area was way too dark. It felt like I was showering in the dark!
Overall a great experience, especially for the food and the service.
The room and the Onsen were EXACTLY like those in the listing and were absolutely stunning! The breakfast was delicious and the range more than adequate. The location is good if you drive but is about 1km walk to Beppu Tower and a bit more from the night street. But I’d happily trade that for the spacious room and the wonderful sea and sunrise view.
The environment was great, the food was delicious, and everything was perfect. It was also a great way to enjoy the outdoor family hot springs with your partner or spouse. If the weather is nice in the evening, you can even see the stars.
The hotel is a group of small villas. Although it is in the city, there are rice fields in front of the door. There is a private hot spring and sauna room downstairs, indoors and outdoors. Upstairs is a double bed and two tatami beds. The tatami beds need to be made by yourself, and someone will put them away in the morning. The cleaning time is 11:00-15:00. According to the front desk, it takes several people to prepare for such a long time, so the hygiene is very good, and all bedding is changed every day. The only drawback is that the hotel does not provide meals and does not have a washing and drying machine. There is a microwave in the room, so it is convenient to buy food in advance and heat it up. To wash clothes, you need to go to coin laundry 200 meters away. It is a great hotel and I will go there again if I have the chance. The front desk is very good. I ask them to help call a car and book a restaurant every day.

Great
GGuest UserThe staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious.
YYy3Fukuoka is hotter than ever this year. After interacting with locals, I realized that although it was my first time to visit Fukuoka, it was easier and easier to get around than I imagined. I knew very early on that I wanted to include the suburbs and Yufuin in my itinerary, and I wanted to stay there for one night. I was debating whether I should soak in hot springs in the summer and find a suitable accommodation for one person, so I found this B&B. It’s true that it’s not close to the station with your luggage, and it’s a bit hard in the summer. You can soak in the outdoor hot springs in the summer, and watch the stars, which are hard to capture on your phone. I went there once in the morning and once in the evening. After putting up the sign, it became a private soup. I like the sound of creaking templates, the exquisite breakfast boxes, and buying small things near the front desk. The boss couple are very hospitable, attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast is delicious. I read the reviews and said I must order it, and I thought so too! Make sure to buy more snacks for dinner. Many shops on Yufuin Street close one after another at 5 pm local time. Plan your itinerary well. If you want to see more attractions, you can go to the nearby Beppu to see the hot springs together, or just chill in Yufuin. Very happy. When leaving, you can have your luggage delivered to the station. In this way, you can slowly walk to Jinlin Lake in your free time, and then eat slowly all the way back to the station hahahaha. Traveling is about experiencing❤
KKelvin 旅行GoIt was my first time staying in a hotel with two nights and one meal with my girlfriend.
The experience was really great. Although the hotel is a little far from the bus station, I suggest taking a taxi to try it (it doesn't cost $1000 Yen) or walking there (it takes about 15 minutes and is easy to find).
It is recommended that you go to the supermarket to buy some snacks before checking in, because it is a little far from the hotel.
The check-in time is 15:00. If you arrive early, it is recommended to store your luggage first (of course, the staff will help you to enter the room when the time comes, which is very considerate). We arrived early that day and walked around the street near Jinlin Lake.
Fortunately, it was Tuesday and there were not many people. We just happened to go to a CAFE store near Jinlin Lake (enjoy the scenery and coffee at the same time!)
Then when we checked in, the staff was also very considerate to introduce the room facilities to each of us, and booked dinner and breakfast with them.
I didn't expect this kind of enjoyment to be so great!
I hope to have the opportunity to stay in this hotel again next time (because this hotel only has 6-7 rooms, so everyone should book quickly!)
YYty125The hotel is located on a mountain, offering stunning views. However, it would be quite inconvenient if you don't have a car. The room has its own hot spring bath and a balcony, providing a quiet and comfortable environment.
AAnonymous UserWe booked a room with a private entrance and a private onsen for one night. The hotel is quite a distance from the station, about a 25-minute walk uphill.
The service was excellent; everything was explained and shown to us, and they spoke English.
The onsen was also great, though it was very hot and needed diluting, which wasn't an issue. It had a view of the mountains.
A minus for cleanliness, as the ventilation in the onsen was dirty. Also, you can't order breakfast on arrival if you didn't select it when you initially booked.
Overall, we really enjoyed everything.
KKarinackkThe first time I came to Fukuoka, Japan, with my boyfriend, I started looking at Yufuin’s hot spring hotels three months ago. I want to find a hotel with good value for money, a private bath, and room and board.
However, I found this hotel, which met my requirements, and it was very convenient to walk to the street to buy food. There is also a convenience store Lawson nearby, just a few minutes away! Very good in every way! The private spa is great, and my boyfriend also likes this one! The owner also provides frozen sake in the refrigerator. It’s also great to drink sake while soaking in the hot springs or watching TV after drinking it❣️
Dinner was Wagyu sukiyaki shabu-shabu, with mushrooms, vegetables, and meat. The portions were large, and it was delicious! The owner only receives 4 pairs of guests every day, and the other guests traveling with him that day are all Koreans🤭The breakfast on the second day is a table of small Japanese breakfasts, which are also very exquisite. The taste is not very outstanding but it is still very Japanese. The flavor is pretty good too.
The only downside is that there are a lot of mosquitoes in the open-air private bath. I have to go back indoors after bathing quickly. I am more mosquito-provoked and I was bitten several times. I also found an insect at night, but fortunately the shop owner put out pesticides, and my boyfriend killed it with pesticides. It is always a suburb, and there are more small insects, but overall I am very satisfied with it and will recommend it to everyone! 👍🏻👍🏻Because the food is delicious, the location is convenient, the private bath is private, and the price-performance ratio is high!
