Romantic Hotels in Johor, Malaysia

this I not first time, booked for KSL hotel with my family. but this time very disappointed for their air-conditioning ... not cold, cannot adjust. aircon compressor very loud. I can't even have a good rest.. and swimming pool never well maintain. Alot of algae. on the pool side floor also inside the pool.. that my girl went inside saw..hopefully next booking will be more better .

First time staying at St. Giles and, unfortunately, it was quite disappointing given its 4star hotel Cleanliness was a major letdown. The glass shelf hadn’t been properly cleaned, there were noticeable stains on the windows, and the overall maintenance didn’t reflect a hotel that hasn’t been open very long. Even the toilet tiles were damaged, which further added to the poor impression. The breakfast was very average as well, nothing particularly memorable. Another concern was privacy. Despite putting up the “resting” sign while we were out, someone still entered our room. We only realized this because a plate of cake had been left on the table. While the cake was actually quite delicious, it was still very concerning that staff entered without permission. The room soundproofing was also very poor. We could clearly hear noise from outside, which may be an issue for light sleepers. That said, the bed itself was comfortable. On the positive side, the location is excellent. It’s directly connected to Mid Valley, making it very convenient for shopping. Getting a Grab is also easy from the area. The service desk staff were friendly, and check-in was smooth and efficient. I also appreciated the QR code system for requests and communication, it’s a modern and convenient alternative to calling the front desk. Overall, while the location and service were good, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, privacy, and soundproofing was disappointing.

The hotel is located in a convenient spot, especially if you are driving. They were having Ramadan buffet promo during my trip but it is a short drive to lots of nice restaurants. We tried Teck Sing for their curry fishhead and paper wrapped herbal chicken (prepare to queue) and Ah Soon BKT. Car park is free for hotel guest. Room design looks dated and lighting is adequate but could be brighter. Toilet looks like it belongs to a different decade. The shower curtain rod was bent and looks flimsy. Overall it is alright for a night stay but they should definitely update their rooms. Plenty of new boutique hotels around for the same price.

Staffs were really good, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They answered all our questions and made sure everything went smoothly. The hotel is clean and location is convenient, close to KSL. Below the hotel there is a small old school food court selling nice yummy hawker food. If you want extra decor for your room or event, it's available at an additional cost. Best to check with the hotel directly for what's offered and how much it is. Photo attached is the simple decoration surprise for my hubby. Last but not least thank you the Dian, for the arrangement.

Our stay was just amazing. The hotel although looks old from outside, indoor it is very classic and some room had that rich look. Location is great to whoever wants to go to singapore 5 min drive to Woodland checkpoints. Breakfast was delicious good enough spread for early morning. Mr Daniel the operation manager was treating us the guest like family. Honestly with the rates between 150-200 with breakfast this hotel is the best! Will definitely come back and our choice of stay in JB!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and found the location to be very convenient, with Mid Valley Southkey Mall right next door and easily accessible on foot. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to the mall, which was a nice bonus. We tried the buffet breakfast and found the selection fairly decent; however, the service was quite slow. Used dishes were left piled on the table for some time and were not cleared promptly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning, especially for the convenience of the location.

This is one of the rare occasions where I provide a review, but i feel that I should do it to recognise the hotel and its amazing staff. Just stayed for a night with my family ovwr the weekend. Hotel room is solid and clean, amenities are the good standard that you would expect of IHG, but what's most amazing is the people. Absokutely great hospitality, and the staff took a lot of care to make sure that we are comfortable. Even more amazingly was their responsiveness - i realised that I've inadvertently left my running attire in the room after checking out. They reached out very quickly and even via whatsapp to update me that all is good and would await for me to return to collect it! Also special shout out to the kind staff at the swimming pool - he went all the way to get a pair of slippers for my son when we went to the pool without one. Will absolutely return and visit again!

Not the cleanliness hotel I've stayed thus far, feels very rundown but for its price, I guess that's what you pay for. Saw a dead cockroach on the wall, probably killed by previous guest and wasn't cleaned up by the housekeeper. The window is quite small but still visible. The toilet was acceptable with a slightly loose tap.

This tine, we booked 3D2N staycation at Holiday Villa. This was my amazing staycation at Holiday Villa. Connecting room in high floor and facing the same direction as the main road to the hotel lobby. We got to watch fireworks released by Malaysian residents celebrating Hari Raya on the eve. Nice fireworks from good view. Breakfast was good too. Rooms were kept clean . The only 2 improvements are firstly, the queen size bed with bath tub, taking a shower is challenging as the water leak from the side of the bath tub to the floor causing the toilet floor to be wet. I have to clean the floor after my shower. The second improvement is Friday soya bean drink was served hot , unfortunately today (Saturday) the soya bean drink is served cold. Counter staff can be more presentable and professional to serve customers in line than doing own things.

Was able to check in early as room was available when I arrived. Staff is very pleasant and professional in handling enquiries. There are 2 reception counters, one is at ground level whereas the other one is at level 7. They also provide express check out and online check out. I was given a room at level 14. The twin room was very spacious and beds was very comfortable. The only downside was both the room and toilet door are faulty. They cannot be locked. The door ledge screw was also loose. It took about 20mins drive from CIQ to the hotel. The hotel is connected to Paradigm mall and many shops/eateries are available. Overall experience was good and I wouldnt mind returning to the hotel.
