GGuest User: A huge thumbs up for the owner! The hotel is located in a converted high-rise apartment building opposite the high-speed rail station, making it incredibly convenient for travelers using Chishui Station as a transit point. Given its prime location, with numerous apartments converted into hotels (as pictured), how did it stand out? The owner of Kaichen Hotel provided the answer: clean facilities and attentive service – both of which the hotel excels in. Special thanks to the owner for thoughtfully guiding us to the parking area, and for returning even a small cup of milk tea left behind at the front desk!

GGuest User: This is my first time writing a hotel review!! First of all, the service was absolutely fantastic!! A perfect score, no doubt!! Secondly, there are tons of restaurants nearby, very close to the museum and Xiangshuitan, especially the mutton rice noodles downstairs – so delicious!!! Finally, for this price, don't expect anything more than 100 yuan for a single room! Be content! Because we had a man in our group, we got two rooms, and they even upgraded us to a room with much better lighting because they saw we had elderly guests! If you have extremely high expectations, you might want to look elsewhere! Anyway, we were extremely satisfied with our stay! It was definitely worth the price!! The staff who served us were also very kind and polite!! Thank you so much!

GGuest User: The hotel's location is excellent, surrounded by restaurants – it seems to be right in the city center. The hotel design is also quite unique, with a retro feel, yet it's very new. It's clean and well-maintained, with no strange odors. The staff are very friendly and even provided breakfast. If you're driving, I recommend contacting the hotel in advance; you can even park right at the entrance.

Want to eat like a local? Don't miss out on these top Bijie dishes and foodie spots.

Guizhou is the most underrated stop on my world travel bucket list. When textbooks come to life 📖, mountains and rivers are more than just words on a page. The Huangguoshu Waterfall from my Chinese textbook, the karst landscapes from geography class, and the ethnic customs from history class—they’ve all been waiting for me in this land surrounded by mountains for so many years. Promise me, if this is your first time in Guizhou, you must take this route. 🌄 🍜 Day 1: Guiyang, start your Guizhou journey with a bowl of Changwang noodles A day of independent travel, following a local driver. He said Guiyang's best food is hidden in Minsheng Road and Caijia Street. Changwang noodles, Siwawa, tofu balls, sour soup fish, ice slush... bowl after bowl, until we were stuffed. 😋 🏯 Jiaxiu Pavilion & The White House | The days and nights of Guiyang The simplicity of Jiaxiu Pavilion, the brilliance of the White House. One carries four hundred years of history, the other shines with modern prosperity. The city of Guiyang gently layers the past and the present together. Stayed at Forest Say at night—honestly, this homestay gave me so many surprises! Staying in a forest full of greenery and bursting with negative oxygen ions, the sense of happiness is just amazing 💕 For those with energy, you can wake up early and go to the nearby Guiyang Forest Park to see the monkeys 🐒 The little monkeys aren't afraid of people, it's so healing! I love visiting local parks whenever I go to a new city ⛲️ 🕳️ Zhijin Cave | China's number one karst cave, it lives up to the reputation! "After visiting Mount Huang, you won't want to see any other mountains; after visiting Zhijin Cave, you won't want to see any other caves." The moment I walked into Zhijin Cave, I really held my breath. Stalactites, stalagmites, and stone pillars presented dreamy colors under the lights, like walking into an underground palace forgotten by time. ⛰️ Nature's craftsmanship is interpreted to the extreme here. 🏞️ Zhijin Grand Canyon | A unique karst canyon If Zhijin Cave is an underground miracle, then Zhijin Grand Canyon is an epic on the surface. Steep cliffs and clear streams, both majestic and beautiful. Standing on the edge of the canyon looking down, the Yazi River flows quietly at the bottom, and the banks are a spiritual realm formed by ancient rocks. The aesthetic is so high-end! It's not that artificial "internet-famous" feel, but a true natural beauty that inspires awe. 🌊 💦 Luola Waterfall | A niche waterfall if you want to avoid the crowds Don't want to squeeze into the crowds at Huangguoshu? Then go to Luola Waterfall first. This is a secret waterfall that even many locals don't know about. The water pours down from the cliff, and the mist splashes to form a rainbow in the sunlight 🌈 Standing under the waterfall, feeling the roar of the water and the mist on your face—that feeling of being embraced by nature is truly addictive. 🌊 Huangguoshu Waterfall | A must-visit in this lifetime, textbooks coming to life Finally, I saw the "Huangguoshu Waterfall" from my elementary school Chinese textbook. As the car drove over the Yazi River Bridge, a sense of pride in our country's infrastructure welled up in my heart. And when I actually stood in front of the waterfall, watching the water rush down from a height of 77.8 meters, with mist filling the entire valley— at that moment, the words in the textbook suddenly had sound, temperature, and weight. 📖✨ "Flying down three thousand feet, I suspect the Milky Way has fallen from the ninth heaven"—it turns out the ancients really weren't exaggerating. 🍲 Anshun food tour | The hidden king of Guizhou cuisine Anshun is a treasure trove of Guizhou food! Guojuan, Posu buns, Duoduo noodles, ice slush, fried rice cake porridge... every bite is a surprise. Especially the Guojuan, rice wrappers as thin as cicada wings wrapped around sour and spicy fillings, one bite after another, I just couldn't stop! 🌶️ 💬 Some honest thoughts about this route This route was booked through a travel agency. My friend and I calculated it, and the price was much cheaper than booking it ourselves. ✅ Private group, no need to rush with a large tour group ✅ Niche scenic spots, staying in the scenery at every stop ✅ No need to make your own itinerary, the travel planner saved us a lot of trouble Guizhou has many attractions and is truly worth visiting again and again. This route is different from traditional ancient town check-ins and is more suitable for young people—it's not just a quick look, but truly living in the scenery and feeling the breath of the mountains and rivers. 🏔️ 🌟 Final thoughts Before going to Guizhou, I thought it was just a "summer getaway." After going to Guizhou, I discovered it's a place that will make you fall in love with the world all over again. When the car drives over the Yazi River Bridge, when the waterfall mist wets your cheeks, when the forest's negative oxygen ions fill your lungs—you will suddenly understand that the meaning of travel is not just checking off a list, but letting those landscapes you once only read about in books truly live in your life. 🌿 "When you can't find the answer, go see the world." Guizhou is worth visiting once, and then again.

🌊 Jiudongtian, Guizhou | Practical nanny‑level guide (save this) 📍 Location: on the border of Dafang County and Nayong County, Bijie. A national 4A scenic area known as China's karst encyclopedia. --- 🎫 How to buy tickets for the best value During peak season (Mar–Oct) admission is CNY 80, and off season CNY 60. Strongly recommend buying the combo ticket: admission + sightseeing shuttle + one‑way boat = CNY 170. The electric sightseeing cart is a must (the area is large), and the boat is the soul of the experience. Book on the mini program 1 day in advance and scan the QR code to enter without queuing. Students and seniors aged 60–69 are half price, and those 70 and older enter free. ⏰ Best time to go Enter at the 8:30 AM opening; arriving before 9:00 AM is ideal. On sunny days be sure to catch 11:00 AM–2:00 PM to see the golden light through the cave — noon sunlight beams vertically through the skylight and Tyndall beams appear on the river, an iconic sight of the area. Tour groups crowd the site in the afternoon, which significantly reduces the experience. 🚗 How to get there For driving, navigate to "Jiudongtian scenic area west gate". It's about 50 minutes from Bijie and about 2.5 hours from Guiyang. Parking is CNY 10 per day. From Bijie high‑speed rail station, charter a car for about 1 hour; round‑trip is around CNY 120 per person. 🗺️ Low‑effort route (enter west, exit west) West gate entry → sightseeing shuttle → Moon Bay suspension bridge + cliffside boardwalk hike (mostly downhill, easy) → take a boat from Liuyin ferry pier to pass through the nine skylights → return. The whole route takes about 3.5 hours, and 80% is downhill. The return trip by boat goes upstream, the boat moves slowly, and there is full audio commentary on the return leg but none on the outbound leg. Glass walkway CNY 20 per person; there is a waterfall right under your feet, great for photos. ⚠️ Three key reminders Inside the cave it is 15–18°C year‑round. Bring a light jacket. The boardwalks are wet. Wear slip‑resistant sneakers and avoid high heels. Boat service may be suspended during heavy rain, so call ahead to confirm before you go. Do not climb over railings into undeveloped areas. Snakes, insects, and the risk of falling into the water are real. 🍜 What to eat: local farmhouse dishes around the scenic area offer great value. Dafang dried tofu and Bijie griddle pot are worth trying.

If you plan to visit Guizhou more than once, this off-the-beaten-path road trip in northwest Guizhou is worth exploring. With fewer crowds and a better experience, you can enjoy canyons, caves, natural bridges, drive along the Dragon Ridge Road, and savor the local delicacies of Bijie, Liupanshui, and Anshun along the way. This route is ideal for self-driving and not recommended for public transportation. The pace is relaxed, avoiding mainstream tourist spots. DAY 1: Guiyang – Shili Gallery – Qianxi – Bijie The Shili Gallery canyon is picturesque and doesn’t require much time to explore. Try the local specialty, glutinous rice cakes with dried tofu, in Qianxi. In the evening, enjoy Liulong dried tofu hotpot in Bijie. Stay overnight in Bijie. DAY 2: Bijie – Jiudongtian – Diaoshuiyan Waterfall – Liupanshui Jiudongtian is a hidden gem featuring natural bridges, caves, and canyons. It’s recommended to enter and exit from the west, walking in and taking a boat out. If the weather is good, take the boat at 1 PM to see the golden light shining through the caves. Visit Diaoshuiyan Waterfall on the way and stay overnight in Liupanshui. DAY 3: Liupanshui – Dragon Ridge Road – Dishuitan Waterfall – Baling River Bridge – Anshun For Dragon Ridge Road, it’s recommended to start from Yishan Village and descend at Chengzi Pass. The narrow mountain roads at the top offer stunning views, including a distant view of Laowang Mountain. Along the way, visit Dishuitan Waterfall and Baling River Bridge. Stay overnight in Anshun. DAY 4: Anshun – Huajiang Canyon Bridge – Anshun The Huajiang Canyon Bridge is worth a dedicated visit, and the experience has improved significantly compared to earlier times. After crossing the bridge, you can visit nearby photo spots to enjoy views of the distant mountains. Walking can be tiring, so proceed according to your ability. Have dinner in Huajiang before returning to Anshun. DAY 5: Anshun – Shiermaopo – Guiyang Shiermaopo is not a tourist attraction, but its tea plantation hills have beautiful contours, offering a quiet and serene environment. After exploring, return to Guiyang. Travel Tips: · Self-driving is recommended; mountain roads have many curves, so drive carefully and reduce speed. · Guizhou’s weather is unpredictable; bring rain gear and a light jacket. · Book accommodations in advance during holidays. · Visiting Huajiang photo spots requires walking; assess your physical condition before proceeding. This route is perfect for those who enjoy road trips, want to avoid crowds, and have an interest in mountain scenery and local cuisine. Guizhou has many attractions to offer, and this route is a great reason to plan your next trip to the region.

Zhijin Grand Canyon's hidden underground river boat in the mountains of Guizhou🌌The scenery in Guizhou keeps taking my breath away🍃 This time I found an underground river boat just like the one in The Lost Tomb🚤 I was amazed from the very first second I stepped into the cave😍 Floating lanterns on the river🔮 and the drip of water on the rock walls🫧 all felt like stepping into another world🎏 Coming out of the cave, everything suddenly opened up again⛱️ Looking up at the sheer cliffs above⛰️ I instantly felt the true grandeur of Guizhou's landscapes🖼 📍Zhijin Grand Canyon 🚗It's easiest to join a one-day tour departing from Guiyang 🚶Itinerary Meet at 7:00 AM and depart, and once there you can explore freely Most tours visit Zhijin Cave and the Grand Canyon first📝 But I'm not that into caves, and considering how crowded it gets during summer🥵 So I chose to head straight to the Grand Canyon🧚♀️ I went in from the entrance and came out at the exit From my experience, going early really means fewer people‼️ The crowds surge in the afternoon We arrived at the cave entrance at 9:30 AM. The entrance boat line was 40 minutes⏰ We just walked in toward the exit and got on without queuing, haha The boat is 10💰. It's still worth the experience if you skip the line✅️ Take the boat back to the entrance and walk in again Don't worry about repeating the route, the distance is very short😆 Plus, the views from the boat and from the bridge are completely different. The cave is a bit chilly, so bring a jacket~

Jiu Cai Ping, located in Hezhang County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is one of the main peaks of the Wumeng Mountains. Jiu Cai Ping is divided into two areas: Big Jiu Cai Ping and Small Jiu Cai Ping. They are about 20 km apart, yet each has its own unique charm. Big Jiu Cai Ping (Asilixi · Sea of Flowers in the Sky) has an altitude of 2,777 meters and is the world's largest contiguous habitat for wild chive flowers. From late August to mid-September each year, wild purple chive flowers bloom across the mountains and plains, stretching for dozens of miles, earning it the reputation of "Sea of Flowers in the Sky." White windmills stand among the flowers, and when the sea of clouds surges, it feels like a fairyland—a paradise for photography enthusiasts. The scenic area is equipped with cable cars and sightseeing vehicles, making for a comfortable visiting experience. Small Jiu Cai Ping, at an altitude of 2,900.6 meters, is the highest peak in Guizhou Province and is known as the "Roof of Guizhou." There are no vast flower seas here; instead, you'll find typical karst landscapes—the Luobu Stone Forest with its diverse, rugged rock formations. Reaching the summit offers a panoramic view of the vast Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with extremely wide visibility on clear days. Small Jiu Cai Ping has no cable cars or sightseeing vehicles; you must hike up stone steps to reach the summit, making it more suitable for tourists who enjoy outdoor challenges. The average summer temperature at Jiu Cai Ping is only 17–22°C, making it an excellent summer retreat. The annual blooming season attracts many tourists, but please note that wild chive flowers are a nationally protected plant (Class II); do not pick or trample them while visiting. For transportation, you can take a high-speed train to Bijie Station, transfer to a bus to Hezhang County, and then proceed to the scenic area. Driving yourself is more convenient. In a nutshell: Visit Big Jiu Cai Ping for flowers and Small Jiu Cai Ping for the summit. The best time to visit is before mid-September. · Big Jiu Cai Ping (Hezhang · Flower Sea Viewing): Admission ¥45 (approx. ¥22 online), round-trip sightseeing vehicle ¥50, round-trip cable car ¥78; all-inclusive package approx. ¥170. Seniors, children, and military personnel are exempt from admission fees, and students get half-price tickets... · Small Jiu Cai Ping (Zhongshan · Roof of Guizhou): No admission fee, no cable cars or sightseeing vehicles, pure hiking to the summit; the only expenses are fuel and parking fees. 👉 Pay to see flowers, free to reach the summit.

In July and August, you can also see the blue-purple fields of Dian Huangqin flowers. 🎈 Must-try activities · Horseback riding: Locals charge about 20 yuan per lap, negotiable. Enjoy the feeling of wind through the grass and spotting cattle and sheep. · Grassland camping: The area near the windmills offers wide-open views. Bring your own gear to camp overnight and stargaze. Avoid areas where cattle and sheep roam. · Windmill fields: White windmills plus rolling meadows make every photo wallpaper-worthy. ✨ Nearby attractions Combine with Weining Caohai for a perfect two-day, one-night trip. Although the summer birdwatching season hasn’t started, the highland lake scenery remains peaceful and healing. 🏡 Accommodation recommendations Stay in Weining county. We recommend the All Seasons Hotel (Caohai North Slope Ecological Park branch), newly opened in 2025. Rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Caohai sunset. After enjoying the Chinese breakfast, you can head to Baicaoping at a relaxed pace. ⚠️ Important safety tips (must read) 🔔 Scenic area status: Baicaoping is an undeveloped natural area, open free and accessible all day. But because it’s undeveloped: · No public restrooms, no shops, weak signal. Be sure to bring water, snacks, and a power bank. · Few trash bins on the mountain. Please take all your trash with you to protect this pristine land. 🧥 Climate and health reminders · At over 2,400 meters elevation, avoid strenuous exercise to prevent altitude sickness. · Large temperature swings, strong winds, and frequent rain. Bring a windbreaker even in summer. Afternoon storms are common, so start early in the morning. · UV rays are very strong. Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are essential. ⚠️ Other attraction updates: The former site of the Bijie Guizhou Anti-Japanese National Salvation Army headquarters is currently closed for renovation. You can visit the former site of the Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou Provincial Revolutionary Committee instead. The You Shanhe Scenic Area cable car is back in operation. Xianyu Peak and the glass walkway are open as usual. Don’t hesitate. Before it becomes the next overcrowded hotspot, go to Baicaoping and feel the breeze on the mountaintop. 🍃
The entire trip takes about 2 hours from entering to exiting the cave, with a short rest stop in between. There are toilets and supply points inside the cave, but it's still recommended to relieve yourself before entering! 1. Scenic Area Experience: Fun and interesting, the cave is cool and comfortable, and the scenery is quite breathtaking. The lighting is also decent, without being overly colorful or cheap-looking. 2. Facilities and Services: The scenic area management and parking arrangements are excellent. When I drove there, I thought there wouldn't be any parking spaces because of the many cars, but the area was surprisingly large. There are free photo opportunities inside, but the free photos are too small, making it difficult to see faces clearly, and sometimes they look a little strange. You can choose larger sizes, which cost extra, but it's not expensive. 3. Dining Recommendation: After exiting the cave, there's a good buffet restaurant (except for the braised pork). You should see a sign indicating it's 25 yuan per person; the food is good and the price is reasonable.
Anonymous userI rushed towards Baili Rhododendron with great excitement, thinking I had stumbled into a fairyland, but reality was like a burst bubble. I guess only aerial photography can capture that feeling, lacking the filters and meticulous editing of traditional film.
天街小语For families with children visiting Zhijin, the 5A-rated Zhijin Cave is highly recommended. It's a natural water-eroded cave with a temperature around 10 degrees Celsius! The stalactites and stalagmites inside are incredibly diverse and will spark your imagination! The various gorge entrances and boat rides within the cave are unique features. It will leave you in awe of nature's artistry! Arriving at the scenic area at 9 am meant there were no parking spaces left, so we opted for the 10 yuan parking lot at the Grand Canyon exit. From the exit, we took a 108-meter-high ladder down, followed by a relatively easy walk down the mountain path. Along the way, we saw natural bridges, waterfalls, and Buddha statues – a truly breathtaking experience. We entered the "Ten Thousand Swallows Returning to Their Nest" area, took a 10 yuan boat ride to the other side, and then took a sightseeing bus back to the entrance. A free shuttle bus from the entrance took us to the visitor center. After getting off, we transferred back to our car at the exit for lunch. At 1 pm, we took another shuttle bus to Zhijin Cave, taking photos with the various stalactites and stalagmites along the way. The visit took about two hours. Overall, the pace was from easy to difficult, making it a manageable trip for children! (^в^)
113***37The scenery is beautiful; the highlight is the boat ride inside the cave. I recommend entering from the west and exiting from the west. Parking is convenient at the west gate. First, take a 3-minute sightseeing bus, then walk for about 10 minutes, then take another 5-minute sightseeing bus to the Natural Bridge to board the boat. If you have a one-way ticket, make sure to climb the stairs on your right when you reach the boarding area; the rest of the way is downhill, which is more convenient for the elderly and children. Finally, take the boat back from the east gate to the west gate. If you take the boat to the east gate first and then walk back to the west gate, it's all uphill stairs and will be very physically demanding!
只恋尚善The vast grasslands were a welcome sight, thankfully we had a car. In such a wide expanse, besides horseback riding, there wasn't much else to do. The temperature difference between day and night was significant, ranging from 16 degrees Celsius at night to 26 degrees Celsius during the day. If you have the necessary gear, spending a few days there to relax and unwind is truly wonderful. Highly recommended for those who enjoy solitude.
M13***30For the National Day holiday, the number of visitors was manageable, and we even caught the last glimpse of wild chive blossoms. Parking was free, making it a truly conscientious tourist destination. The weather on the mountain was unpredictable; thankfully, heavy fog rolled in just before we finished visiting the core area, allowing us to quickly head back. Traveling with my 74-year-old mother, we opted for the cable car up and the sightseeing bus down – a perfect combination!
Caohai is located in Weining Yi, Hui and Miao Autonomous County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province. It is one of the three largest plateau lakes in China and the largest natural freshwater lake in Guizhou. The following is a brief information about Caohai: Ecological Value Caohai is an important wintering place for many rare birds such as black-necked cranes, attracting about 100,000 migratory birds every year. It has rich biological resources, including more than 2,000 biological species, and is known as the "species gene bank".
kk走遍中国The Wujiang River Source Hundred-Mile Gallery is truly a stunning natural wonder! A boat trip along the emerald green river, flanked by towering peaks and rugged mountains, feels like stepping into a flowing landscape painting. The crystal-clear water reflects the blue sky, white clouds, and layered karst landforms, making every snapshot a masterpiece. Along the way, you'll see Miao villages and cliffside walkways, adding a touch of cultural charm and adventure. The boat trip is at a moderate pace, lasting approximately 2-3 hours, so you won't feel tired. It's recommended to go on a sunny day when the sunlight sparkles on the river, creating a more breathtaking visual experience. The scenic area's services are quite comprehensive, with clear dock signage and orderly boarding and disembarking. The only minor drawback is that the surrounding facilities are still under development, and there aren't many dining options. It's advisable to bring your own snacks and water. Overall, this is an excellent place to escape the crowds and experience the tranquil beauty of nature, well worth a visit! Highly recommended for those who enjoy natural scenery and photography.
揽月踏山河After the Red Army crossed the Chishui River four times during the Long March, the leaders stood at the crossroads of three provinces, surveying the landscape! They held a meeting and decided on the subsequent route of the Long March! We received a profound education from this experience! This scenic spot is a place we've always wanted to visit! I highly recommend it!!!
